Gold's Gym, Pflugerville TX

My year contract was DONE in March. Covid happened at the same time. I thought "perfect timing, I wont have to pay monthly anymore especially during quarantine when I cant even go! " I just noticed in August that they have been taking money out of my account since MAY! What I find strange is that 1.they usually call to ask if youre doing ok if you havent showed up in a month, so why tf didnt they call me within the 3-4 months they took money out of my account and i havent been going. 2.why did they wait 1-2 months to start taking money out of my account, so yall just want to fool me into thinking my contract stopped. I contacted my bank and I more than likely will get my money back. Shame on yall.

Would be 5 stars if they had more than 3 squat racks. Or would open the CrossFit area for power lifts while it’s not being used for classes.

Sad that we want to start paying this location for their services again, but they are still trying to gouge us for hundreds of dollars of fees during COVID. You would think any business would appreciate paying customers at this point. We were in perfectly good standing before COVID, but then AFTER the gym closed down for COVID, they charged us again. We tried calling but there was no one to talk to, so we disputed the charge and asked that no other charges from the gym be allowed. We tried calling to cancel our membership at that time, but again, no one to talk to. Now we are told we owe for that bogus charge, a fee for returning the charge, and several months of a lesser charge they’ve been trying to get from us since they reopened, even though we hadn’t yet gone back. We had been members for years, just sad that the company would treat us like this and that no one on site either cares enough or is allowed to do what’s right.

Every day that I go to this gym at least one member of the staff is not in compliance with the state mandate re: Covid 19. The hour to hour and a half I spend there at least 6 to 10 people are not wearing a mask or not wearing it covering their nose and mouth. I spoke with the management but still the problem persist. Today staff members walked by a minimum of 5 people without the mask not covering the nose and mouth. THIS IS A STATE MANDATE THAT NEEDS TO BE ENFORCED.

Phillip Mayberry has very poor customer service skills for being an assistant manager, that’s even if you can get ahold of him. I do not recommend this gym. We’d given it a second chance because of convenience, the joke was on us because the 2nd time was not a charm. They were sketchy before the pandemic. If they keep charging your account, you WON’T get your money back regardless if you follow ALL the proper protocols to cancel or freeze. Good luck!

Terrible company and manager! Unable to attend due to COVID and yet, they still continue to bill me. I sent an email request to cancel (she held that info back, tried to make me come in) when I am a high COVID risk. Asked to receive a refund for the "trainer" package I was never able to use and she refused. This company and their representatives could cares less about people.they just want my money! Well.they took it, even though I was never able to attend the trainer courses. When I asked for her supervisor.she refused to provide the information? What kind of company allows that? Answer: one that cares less about it's members as long as they get your money. Shame on you Gold's gym! Karma folks.karma.

I am very disappointed in Golds.
I wanted to try the gym and was told that I can cancels within the first 30 days. I realized this was not the gym for and canceled. They are still charging me for an extra month because they "Need" 30 days to cancel.
The fine print does say that you can cancel, you just need to come a certain number of times and meet with a trainer. I understand all those requirements and knew that going in. Well, its COVID and they were not offering all the 1 on 1 options. That is not my fault, I did all I could. I will never consider a Golds again.

I already work out at another gym but passed by here and figured I would see what they offered. Staff was friendly, and answered all of my questions. I'm still going to stay at my old gym but at least I know I have an alternative place just in case.

I tried the 'Buti' Yoga class today and loved it! The music combined with the variation of movements mixed with dance definitely distracted me from the burn! Thanks to the studio trainer Miranda!

Great experience every time! Always clean, things are always in good working order, and easily accessible.

James the Personal trainer is Awesome! He's training me and shows very strong work ethics. Great gym fun environment and very clean, I highly recommend this GYM in the Pfugerville area.

Other gyms have all the same equipment and services for MUCH lower prices and NO contract. Go to Planet Fitness instead.

All the staff especially the Studio Coaches are amazing! One of the great things is that all the studio rooms are clean and wiped down after each class and all equipment it where is should be. It's great to get a good workout in when you know you're getting the best experience possible. They definitely go the extra mile! I feel the rooms are cleaner than other gyms I have been to. Would recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly, clean, and encouraging atmosphere!

I have tried twice now to cancel my daughters membership and I’m being told the only time I can cancel is Mon-Fri between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm. I work full time and those times do not work for me. That’s horrible customer service! There are at least 5 staff members standing around doing nothing. They will sign up new clients anytime.

Such a great environment! The stuff and trainers are super friendly and simply the best. The gym itself is super clean and organized very well. Especially the studio classes. I see time after time the coaches staying after to do extra from mopping the floors to wiping down all the equipment. The coaches for studio classes are always upbeat, supportive and taking time to really know their members. Best gym I've even been part of.

I have gone to this location from the day it opened. The staff on Sunday morning has shown up late or not at all many times. Does not matter who u talk to they do not seem to care. Happened again this morning. Sad freaking place when u pay for something that can not open on time

I use to love this gym but I sadly have to give a 1 star review due to the fact that I asked for a cancellation and it was not. They will not refund me the money I lost which I think they should. I was misinformed despite following the process. Lesson is, make sure you get a copy of sign documentation when terminating your membership with them.

A very good gym I have only been there once but so far I like all the machines and the workers are nice.

It’s pretty cool here, clean facility and pool with working hot tub. Most people who are ripped have been working out for a year or so, it’s all about commitment and how bad you want that perfect body. Yes it is a contract and you gotta pay attention to the paper work otherwise it’s a waste of money. Don’t look at others success but look at yourself, are you where you want to be?

I work out at night most of the time hard to give a good review but the gym is what you make it.
