This review is for the Body Flow class on Sunday mornings. So glad to have this class back on the schedule and Brenda is a fantastic instructor!

Most of the cardio is broken making unsafe to use. Kid's club was great and the women lockers were good.

I cancelled my gym membership as well as my add ons and there was a bit of confusion around how the cancellation worked and misinformation given to me. I was billed a bit extra due to an add on not being fully processed. However, with all of that being said, Timothy (The General Manager of this location) helped clear up any issues and really saved the day when working with me. He took the time to hear me out and responded with urgency. I was refunded for the account that was supposed to be cancelled earlier.

As for the gym itself. Fairly standard place to lift and not very crowded compared to other locations (especially gold's gym south). Friendly staff and has all the equipment you could want or need. They recently added some new equipment, upgraded others, and changed the layout.

Nice gym but the men changing room smells so bad. And the gym is not clean? Big effort for get back on the level of the other gold gym

For a very small location in a nice area it is dirty. Nats in the locker room.the restroom facilities are disgusting the locker facilities are disgusting, and it has a stench to it. I have a full price all access membership, it allows me to go to any gold's gym Nationwide. There are some great ones this is one of the worst ones!

Changing rooms are excellent. Restrooms clean. Parking is good, and safe. I like the cinema room. Lots of free weights. Machines are good, selection good. Found a few broken features upstairs on cardio machines near rowers. Staff great. I would prefer a towel service. This is a great gym. I am very comfortable here. Not my normal gym location, but I visit and like it.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here since January 2019 and other than a handful of the equipment being a slightly worn down its overall not a bad place to be. Friendly staff too. Have not had much issues besides it being a little bit dirty from time to time.

30 day cancellation policy? Who cancels their membership but yet plans on still using the gym for 30 days? Makes no sense! They certainly have no prob pro-rating fees and charging the minute you sign a membership, but yet it takes 30 days to cancel? I’ve been throwing my money away at this over priced gym for a year and now I have to pay yet another month of fees for something I don’t use. Total scam!

Reggie is great, my sister and myself go to the gym together M-F right before 5Am and he always greets us, talks with us about workouts that are helpful for what we need and has even helped with which machines will give an optimal workout. He is always nice and helpful.
The one trainer I worked with was great as well. David House! He really got into what workouts best suited me for what I was looking for my life and had great conversation.
Some downsides was Brent the manager, I understand his job is to sell, but when someone says no 3× the answer is no. The equipment can be upgraded. Especially in the womans part of the gym. But, really the are few complaints. I enjoy going to the gym.

Terrible. Spent over 40 minutes waiting on this gym to open (Sunday morning 7am - w William cannon location) along with over 20+ other frustrated customers. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Cardio equipment is old and almost always being repaired or not working. When they do repair still works terribly. Becoming more and more disappointed with this gym.

For at least the 4th time in the last 12 months, this location failed to open on time on a weekend day. Management obviously does not care as they have failed to take any obvious action to prevent recurrences or minimize opening delays. GO ELSEWHERE.

BROKEN EQUIPMENT, DIRTY, and getting worse by the week. Sound good? Then I recommend Gold’s Gym 4404 W. William Cannon, Austin TX! However, If you’re looking for any kind of value for your money then my recommendation is that you go ANYWHERE other than this gym.
My theory is that they are getting ready to close this location and that is why they have ceased all maintenance and moved their most ineffectual and inexperienced management to this location. Spend your money elsewhere.

Definitely a more traditional gym. Not much functional fitness, limited mobility equipment, and what bodyweight stuff they have is scattered. I had to walk around for 10 minutes just locating all my equipment I was going to use for a full body workout. On the plus side, they have like 7 stair machines, where most clubs have 1 or 2.

Really on the fence about quitting Gold's to pursue another option. I became a member a few years ago, liked it at the time, worked very hard with a personal trainer for several months, but then became ill and determined with my doctor that I needed an extensive break. I let my trainer know, and I fully recognize it has been a long time after a couple of years of non use, but I've continued paying my membership anyway thinking I was preserving my status, and I didn't realize that my trainer credits would no longer be honored after a certain amount of time, which I just found out last month when visiting again. Huge amount of money down the drain. I have pretty much zero incentive to stick with this gym. The staff has also changed in two years so my original signer is gone as well as my trainer, and no one else was willing to work with me on my credits issue, and by the way it smells just awful right outside the building (I noticed when I returned this morning for a quick mile run).

So, yeah, it's not really working out for me here.

Two cleaning spray bottles are empty while 7 employees stand behind the counter. I don’t pay them $40 every month to MAYBE have full spray bottles. Also, HALF of the treadmills are either broken, make extremely loud and obnoxious whining noises, or the belt catches when you start running. Everything else is decent. Other Gold’s locations are great and it’s still my preferred gym over other competitors but this one is deficient in the machines I use most often.

Gold’s keeps opening new locations in Dripping Springs and Round Rock while this location receives zero much needed attention, so I know they aren’t about to file bankruptcy or anything. Management must be drunk all day. The hunks behind the counter don’t seem to care either. Dare I ask if there is a suggestion box?

I'm in the middle of moving and I am the primary account holder for my girlfriend and I. I went in to Gold to cancel last week. I informed them that my girlfriend was under my account so will this terminate her account too. They said just write "canceled and her name on the top left corner" of the cancellation form. The employee claimed it would take a few days as excepted. Alright cool.no no.not cool. My girlfriend goes into Golds after being emailed and then charged her 100 bucks to cancel both of our accounts! Did my cancellation form go in the effing trash or something?

So I've been a Gold's member for a lot of years. This isn't usually the location I use, but for whatever reason this is the number that shows on my credit card statement. That's what brings me here today. A random collection of charges to my credit card - not my membership fee - on a date when I wasn't even in Austin. Yes, that card is on file for billing purposes. I never buy anything at the gym yet these charges are described as "in person purchase". I can't even get anyone at this number to ANSWER THE PHONE. All charges have been disputed with the credit card company. I had to report the card as stolen and now I have to wait 5 days for a new card.

EDIT - Two months later with no response from Gold's, but a letter informing me that I owe them money. They never sent me a bill in the mail. Never said "We admit that we compromised your credit card, would you like to trust us with another one? "

Decent gym but the MGT is incompetent, duplicitous and self serving. They once made a mistake on my billing and it nearly took an act of God to get them to both acknowledge and then correct it. Specifically Sonny at the Ben White location. It's also a little over priced compared to Planet Fitness.

The staff is nice but the gym is never clean. Women bathrooms are between gross to disgusting at all time. Equipment is ok
