Golf Galaxy reviews
10I came into the store tonight around 8 looking to buy a new driver. Kind of snooped around myself for a little bit then was greeted by a rude worker. Had nothing but negative things to say and ended up steering me away from the store completely. One employee was asked to help me and walked away and said “nah I’m busy”. Didn’t feel welcome here and felt very rushed to get out. 0/10 experience. The 2 stars is for the cool trackman
As a local golf coach and club fitter, having to shaft a club head is a commonly occurring thing. Running out of ferrules in a emergency isn’t so common, but happens. Over the years these guys at the Baybrook location have helped me without hesitation. Big thanks to Jim and the team at Baybrook, I honestly wish the other houston locations would learn how to welcome and serve as you all do, very much appreciated
Husband went into to buy three clubs he has been eying for weeks. Not one person offered assistance, had to interrupt a conversation between two representatives to ask a simple question. Then never even got the chance to test the clubs out due to the hitting bays being full and no one managing them. We left empty handed, found myself wishing once again that Golf Smith was open because Golf Galaxy once again let me down. Horrible customer service.
I bought a set of Taylormade P790 black irons online a week before this review. I played them a round and did not care for them one bit, so I decided to return them since the website says 60-90 day return policy. Mind you I played 1 round and they didn't show almost any wear and tear. Still looked beautiful even got a compliment while waiting in line about the looks. Take them to the counter the staff tells me that since I took them out of the box and hit them the best they could do is trade in value which is 1/3 of the price I paid a week ago for them. I left. I contacted customer service rep Stacy, who was incredibly helpful, cleared their policy up. She contacted the manager and told me to go back. I went back and ANOTHER employee told me that since they were hit they can't take them for full refund. He contacted the manager who completed my refund and told me that they learned a valuable lesson about store policy. Don't let this store give you half credit, so they can send it back to the manufacturer for a full refund. Don't let them pull one over on you since they don't even know their own stores policy.
I want to make a shout out to Mr. Jim Harden Jr, a senior sales associate at this Golf Galaxy off I-45. I learned more in the time I spent with him (roughly 20 minutes in the simulator and additionally an hour plus, talking) about my swing while fitting for clubs within my budget than anywhere, anyhow else. He never tried to make a sale. He merely informed me on which clubs would be best within my budget. I ended up purchasing an iron set from an online outlet, but confidently from his help (They didn't have this set in stock, Callaway Rogue X otherwise, I would have bought them there). He narrowed down which options I needed as a moderate golfer for my unique style. Definitely recommend seeing Jim to narrow down which clubs would be best you. I will be going there to see him for any future fittings and future purchases. Thank you so much Jim!
First things first. I love Golf Galaxy and their products. Never had an issue. I'm not one at all to complain, however if your going their to get fitted for new or used clubs. You might wanna look elsewhere. I took my whole bag to be fitted. Had I know to bring just my driver, and 7iron I would've. Rushed through the process. Was there 45mins. I have Ping Irons so those have to be sent to Ping to adjust the lie angle. Golf Galaxy will not do it. The person fitting me could've cared less about doing it properly. After I get my clubs back from Ping I will look at another fitting elsewhere.
I wanted to buy a full set of clubs and get them fitted. They had zero staff members available to help me. The fitment shop was full of people in line to get fitted but there were zero associates to help me out. I don't recommend this place unless you are an expert and need zero help
The staff at this store has been consistently GREAT since they re-opened. They handling this very challenging time extremely well! With all of us stir-crazy golfers making them very busy and all the new procedures we are all dealing with, I have been very impressed by their great attitude. Keep up the good work!
After calling and was told I had to make a appointment for a fitting at the Baybrook mall store. Then driving almost 2 hrs to get there was then told they don't have appointments and would have to wait. When they finally got to me I was told we need to hurry because they are slammed. Called the manger on Monday and was told they were sorry. Not very professional at all and will not ever going to that store again.
