I haven't been here in a long while, but it was as delicious as I remembered. My only problem was that I ordered a black bottom pecan pie to go and didn't notice until I was home that a regular pecan pie was in the bag! I should have checked before leaving. I don't order pecan pues, as I make a fabulous one myself.
The shrimp and crab ceviche was very good. The chips so very thin and crispy!

Celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary here for lunch! Our server Scott was excellent - made great recommendations and took such good care of us! Highly recommend you visit for fresh, delicious Gulf seafood.

Amazing food and service! The gumbo is delicious and the cold tower is the best presentation of cold seafood that I've seen in 30 years traveling the world. Very original, fresh, cold, and wonderful. More trips from San Antonio for this menu item.

Shelly was a great waiter. She was on a move the whole time we were there and she didn't fail to keep checking in on us.

First timer! We caught happy hour right before it ended and was able to take advantage of it. Our server, Emily, was very attentive and accommodating. Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I definitely will be back to try more menu items.

Twice I have found the waiters to be self-absorbed, and loud. I was willing to overlook it once, however it has to be a problem with management. It is unfortunate since the food is tasty. I believe in treating servers with respect. History, which takes up a bit of the menu, doesn’t give staff the right to attitude.

Went to ask about future employment, was greeted with great enthusiasm, everyone was helpful and i genuinely just like the overall energy and feel of the restaurant!

Waitress forgot to put in our order, so we asked her to put it in and have a second drink. She cut us off and never came back. The manager came out to tell us to leave? Super weird interaction after they had forgot to bring our food for an hour…probably won’t go back for a long time.

Service was great, food was mid. Chargrilled flounder was bland and heavy on the char. French bread was almost inedible. I expect more for my dining dollar. My husband got a fried platter and it was unimpressive. He liked it ok.

Love this place! The food is delicious, service is spot on, and you can’t beat the railcar! I love the decor and colors, so classy and comforting.

2023Sep06 Sat at the bar (unusual for us), but although we were right in front of the bartenders, we seemed if not invisible somewhat translucent. They seemed very taxed with work. The female bartender made a remark that a customer at a table was complaining of slow service (and twirled her eyes). The bar is curved, so to some customers it may seem as though the bartenders disappear when they move around the corner to work.

But we were taken aback that we didn't get our water orders filled. We waited.and waited. We were almost done with dinner, when one of us was asked by the male bartender about another drink.

We've been to this restaurant at least three times for dinner and a couple of times for lunch.

Will we return? Who knows.

Long time established seafood restaurant in Houston. Great selection of choices fair prices, excellent service, one of our favorite.

I do the takeout service every now and then. Last time
I did the smoked redfish dip, lady bird salad, and the mesquite grilled gulf red snapper. All were excellent. A little on the light side. If you want more calories, go for one of the fried platters or crabmeat fettucine.

Totally changed from 30 years ago. All of a sudden y’all charge a percentage of to go packaging? How ridiculous. Are we to bring our own containers now? Food quality and service has dropped tremendously. I’ll just stop coming here.
