Goodwill Central Texas - North Lamar reviews
16This store has so much to offer clothes shoes toys brand new items jewelry Christmas men women children it's amazing and it is so clean and everyone is so kind
Absolute rip off. I used to LOVE coming to this store. Now they’re trying to sell pottery with damages for $30! I asked to speak to a manager (Francis) about offering a discount on a cracked piece and she got an attitude with me. This place used to be filled with kind people and affordable treasures. Not anymore! I’ll never come back to this place
Pretty decent photo frames and other housewares. The clothes don't seem clean and there's a weird smell in here.
This is my second time going there and being harassed by employees. I even went as far as putting in wired headphones and was not interrupted once … but FIVE TIMES. Comments about my body, stopping me from shopping. This is not a safe shopping experience.
Prices are no longer low- Goodwill type. Plenty of stock, found some jeans.
Some stores have tons books, clothing. Other stores have bare racks.
Low income people used to frequent these stores
. Now visit other thrift locations.
For goodwill this place is outrageous. Your talking double and triple what you would pay at a real goodwill. 3 registers and only 2 customers up before us and we've been standing here for over 5 minutes. Worst ever.
Don’t donate to goodwill! They get inventory for FREE and then resell it for a large profit. Some items are sold for more than retail.
So expensive. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they are a for-profit organization, they get everything for free and they want to charge $25 for a picture frame. I don’t know if it’s the staff doing it so they have to stock things less or if it’s the organization just trying to rip people off. I want to be eco friendly but Why would I buy stained, used stuff for twice the price of Amazon sells new staff?
This place has really gone downhill. I used to enjoy coming here because I could find hidden gems for reasonable prices. But the last two times I’ve been here and the prices have been ridiculously high (really? 9.99 For a tiny Japanese porcelain bowl with cracks running through it? ! And 13.99 for a Cheap resin bowl with a shallow layer of river rocks in it?) On top of that, they don’t provide bags, nor do they have any for sale, but you can’t take the carts out to your car either. They don’t even provide wrap for the fragile items you purchase so if you buy more than two or three things be prepared with your own bags or you’ll have to carry things out to your car one by one. I accidentally left a few things on the counter at the register and the cashier didn’t even bother to flag me down to come back and get it even though I was at the front door of the store, only a few yards away from her, trying to pack my purchases into the one bag that I had. Speaking of the cashier, she was incredibly rude and impatient. She snapped at me a couple of times which was completely unnecessary. She acted like I was holding up the line because I had my one year-old daughter with me but really it was because I was purchasing a cart full of things and she was having difficulty keeping track of what she had rung up not to mention goodwills antiquated point of sale system makes everything take much longer than most stores do…needless to say it took a long time to check out and I had to deal with her ugly looks and sneering comments that whole time. I won’t be returning to this store again.
It gets crowded and busy, male customers get too close when you're in line but I'm always able to find pants and dresses that fit for a good price. The staff is also really nice and helpful.
Stop donating to goodwill! They have put profit above all! Their inventory is FREE and you pay $10 for a belt that was given to them. Their stores are lacking customers because they are a rip off. Wanna donate to people in need and know that what you give does not fatten up the pocket of an already wealthy man?
Use Next Door, give it directly to who needs it! They charge outrageous prices and they dont even pay taxes! Not even the sales tax they collect. They pay ZERO taxes. They RIP US OFF! And pay their staff well below minimum wage. STOP shopping there!
I was not able to find any hair tie for sale in this clothing shop and I looked everywhere! There was a polite man named Ricky though, may God bless him.
Nice stuff but expensive. This goodwill is basically charging retail on some of their dresses.
Love love love.wish they had dressing rooms so I don't have to return so often waisted gas and everyone time.a lot of times i won't buy because I can't try.doesn't make sense.what's the difference trying it on at the store than trying it on at home then bringing it back to the store? Anyway this is the only reason for not getting 5 stars.
They has very nice variety, store was clean and staff was nice.
Didn't have what I was looking for this time, maybe next time.
I love going to goodwills. Some of the prices at this location are ridiculous. I thought it was about helping and not getting rich off of it.
