Goodwill Houston Select Stores reviews
10DO NOT BUY ELECTRONICS HERE! They will not allow you to test items and say they are "tested" which is not true. I bought a microwave here and brought it home to use and it didn't work. They wouldn't even exchange it. For getting items donated and then being unable to exchange items which don't work. I would think you could exchange within 48 hours, but no. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
They don't seperate clothes by size.but they do separate by color if you happen to be a size purple.
Goodwill or Badwill? Dropped off some stuff just before they opened. I left my two wallets and some mail on the container I dropped off. My fault. I figured it really fast so I went back to the store. Upon entering and revealing my dilemma a employee announced they had found my stuff. He goes to the back and comes out with one of my wallets. I inquired about my other wallet and mail. He goes to the back for a second time and returns with my mail. I then inquire about my other wallet. Several employees state that they hadn't seen it. I gave them the benefit of doubt and returned home to look for said wallet. Not there. So I returned to the store again. As soon as I walked on an employee walks up to me with my other wallet. It had two of my credit cards and my identification. When I had dropped the container originally with my wallets and mail the second wallet had a dollar hanging from it. I guess I should be glad it only cost me a dollar to get my stuff back.
The goodwill store itself has great merchandise but some of the new staff is exceptionally rude. And the management lacks a supportive attitude towards the customers. Would recommend for purchases. But not a welcoming environment.
Has some neat books. Can find some good things. Mostly junk but hey, it is a goodwill. Bathrooms are horrible. But the store smells nice and the staff are helpful.
Front register staff is rude. I've been waiting at least 10mins (obviously ready to check out) and not a single one of them has apologized for the extended wait. Store is ok but prices are too high for worn out items.
The store is very organized and clean, but the thing is the prices are tooo much! Went today with my lil boy i thought i can buy some clothes and toys for him but the prices is same in the mall but new. I thought this store will help the family to buy things for their family in a lower price.
I visit this Goodwill store frequently. Especially on Wednesdays, it is senior citizen day, and 30% off, for seniors. The selection at the store is always good and well merchandised. And you don't know you need it, until you see it, and it's a great price. This is a well-run Goodwill store. Bathrooms do need attention. The store also needs more shopping carts.
Somebody needs to remind them they're a THRIFT store, not a department store! Prices are too high. I can purchase brand new for those prices.
Stood inline for 20 minutes waiting for the assistant manager to check somebody out while he had a conversation
