Gordon Street Tavern reviews
16My husband and I eat here on a regular basis. We love the patio when it's not too hot. They have a great selection of craft beer and the selection rotates so it doesn't get boring. They also have a full bar. The flight of margaritas is fun! The food is very good. It is not standard bar food.it is a higher quality. I recommend this place 100%
What a rip off! Food tastes fine, nothing spectacular. Outrageous prices, $18 for 4 baby back ribs, $14 for an appetizer (extra if you want bread with that). So, 2 orders of ribs, an appetizer and a small dessert, $60.36.
We have never had a bad experience here. The food is so good and they offer meals that you would find at chain restaurants. I love the outside seating or if there is a game on we eat inside. Either way there's entertainment.
The bartender was rude, asked me to show her my “proof” about what I read on the menu before doing her own research, just lazy I guess. The waitress was great and the food wasn’t bad.
First time to visit was 05/24/21. My sister and I having a sister day, trying to decide our lunch choice. Never been to Gordon Street Tavern, and we were near by, we said let's try it out!
We will be back! We will share our awesome experience there: Good atmosphere, delicious food, price reasonable, and friendly staff!
Food is typically great. They have a nice selection of beer and craft cocktails. Service is good. Prices are not terrible.
I don’t understand why this place has such high ratings, since it is quite literally a terrible place to eat. The food is decent enough to munch on but the location is god awful. I’ve (unfortunately) been a resident of Alvin for a majority of my life, and I do admit most places here are poor quality so this may seem high-class to some people here. If you have the misfortune of sitting on the patio you will be greeted by the loudest of cars. I mean ear bleeding loud. I’m not sure if the driver is aware of how horrendously loud they are but it seems intentional. Service can also can tend to be slow. I do not suggest ever stopping here if you have to come to Alvin. In general, I suggest you never come to Alvin at all.
Love their food and service. I always order takeout soni can't yet speak to the atmosphere but every time I go everyone is always smiling.
Food is wonderdul! Baja chicken sandwich is a weird combo but simply delicious. Fish and chips are heavy battered so you have to like them that way. And they use COD not tilapia trash fish. Get the Buffalo onion strings!
Picked up take out from this spot the first time and the food was phenomenal. Got a burger and I would say the burger is 4 out of 5 stars.
Ate at the tavern the second time and it was just as good. Had the Boudin Balls and fish N chips.wife had a chicken Baja burger. All great in their own regard.
Great atmosphere with a good selection of draft beers and drinks. It's a bit small inside but makes up for it with outside seating. Good vibes and good food. Can't ask for much more.
Lots of great beers, live music, and fun people to converse with and watch. We did see an unfortunate impaired walking accident involving a curb and an Uber.
I've been to Gordon Street Tavern many times. The service is always excellent and the food is great. It's a friendly local place with a happy crowd.
Small town charm with a great menu that competes with any big city gastropub. Great local beer selections and creative menu items
GST provides a great experience with awesome food and friendly service every time. Not many restaurants in this area can do that.
The place was so crowded that there were hardly any chairs anywhere. Everybody was packed in like sardines. The Waitresses were so over busy that they couldn't check on us and make sure we had water and other things when we ran out. Took forever to order. And quite a while to get the food. My dish was overcooked. But some of the others said there's were okay
Very nice place to relax, have a drink or two, and enjoy some good food. The Go Pig or Go Home is our favorite dish, always delicious. The truffle mac and cheese that is served alongside it is delightful. Their fish and chips are also pretty tasty.
