I think I finally made it to the end of my Mariposa’s lifespan.
I have two of these bags and a The One…. All super solid.
Time to buy a new replacement Mariposa for future trips.

I purchased a Mariposa from Gossamer Gear and was not happy with the customer service. I filled in a bad review on their website, but it never appeared.not very honest. Don't trust their ratings.

If you live in Canada, expect a hefty (and ridiculous) amount of money in shipping and customs. For the bag, the fabric is a little fragile.

Bought The One tent 2 weeks before a 30 miler in Arkansas. I’m so glad I did. It poured rain the first night and not 1 drop of water made it in. I had to cook under the vestibule - there’s plenty of room for that. The company shipped the tent and it was in my hands in 3 days. This is the best tent that I’ve ever owned. Gossamer Gear makes quality, well thought products.

Sadly the backpack didn't last even 50 times on my back. The fabric tears when I slide bottle inside, even webbing from shoulder arm ripped off while I never had more than 12kg - terrible quality, weak fabrics.

Prior to purchase I received information "our fabric is EXTEREMLY DURABLE". When I complained about what happened I received respond that I have to buy new backpack, they don't take any responsibility.

I used Mariposa in 2012, it was light and with time (over a year) ripped off too, but it was well used (I put them good reviews in published book about crossing South America on foot). New model Mariposa 60, apparently more durable and 300g heavier, but bad quality with disappointed customer service. Now from crossing Australia on foot (I'm on my way of 14 months) there will be new review in new book
