My wife, kids and I had a FANTASTIC experience here! We all had pasta dishes that were flawless through-and-through! For desert we shared the cheesecake. AMAZING! Strongly recommend! Embyonce isnt as nice as the food, but if you go expecting exceptional food with a casual vibe, you will note be disappointed.

Great, somewhat unique, food. The fried chicken was really good, as well as the pork chop. The only thing difficult about this place is finding the correct door to come in with.

I thought I would be late for happy hour when I showed up at 5 o’clock but the place was empty and I had a seat at the bar. Happy hour specials are kind of limited but I ordered the macaroni and cheese and a beer. I also ordered the mussels which I really wanted to try but we’re not on the happy hour. Back in California not many restaurants offer mussels as out here.
My order was more than enough for dinner but I really wanted to taste the crispy fried wine marinated chicken.
The mussels and macaroni and cheese were both very good but in one of the pictures I saw that there was either bacon or some kind of topping on the macaroni and cheese which was missing from my serving.
The crispy fried wine marinated chicken was supposed to be thigh and a leg but came out to be a breast and a leg which was fine. I was a little disappointed that the breast was a little dry and the coating on the fried chicken was super thick but it was crispy and crunchy.
Overall I liked my meal but I probably would’ve stuck with just the mussels and the macaroni and cheese for a light supper.
I guess I should’ve stuck to the homemade pasta.

I made out with a bat wearing glowing lipstick there. She was wearing the most impetuous voice, veering the ultraviolet. The taste of her lips was thick like pistachio icecream and she left a delicate green bite mark on my neck. Love this place.

Always a great meal here. It really makes everywhere else look overpriced and overrated. The service is consistently excellent, thanks Jared! The food always delicious. And Wednesdays it's half price bottles of wine! What's not to love? !

Food was some of the best I ever had. The guy helping us was awful and rude. Don’t know if I’ll come back.

This place has so many restrictions it’s ridiculous, I had the chicken and waffles the chicken was over seasoned. My waitress was great but i will not be coming back.

Gotham is the best kept secret on the east side. Food is always great and drinks reasonably priced. Easy to park or ride share.

What a great Bistro. We went with our kids and grandkids while we were vacationing in Austin. I would argue it's one of the best places in the area. Full on family-owned, super diverse menu. The service was impeccable, the parking was easy, and the food was excellent. We will be back again.

Kinda hard to rate. This place is definitely a good drinking spot but I wouldn't make the trip for the food. It's a little more upstate than Gotham. Big parking lot is a huge bonus. I'd recommend this place for beers and snacks.

Great restaurant! Went with a party of 10 and took about 40 minutes to get all the food. There wasn't a single complaint from anyone and all the meals were correct. I personally ordered the Gotham Burger and it was delicious! The fries are great too, salted perfectly. Have to say this place is great and deserves more attention. 5/5

This place's sister restaurant is Cafe Malta, which we love. Several drinks and entrees are available at both places. I really liked the food here and the atmosphere was great: upscale yet laid back. Unfortunately, our waiter was having a bad night. Or he was just baked. We experienced missing items, wrong items, extra items, getting someone else's cheque, and awkward chit chat that often interrupted our table's conversation. I would recommend this place and cross fingers that you get someone else.

Great atmosphere and fantastic food. A hidden gem on the Eastside. I absolutely love the steak and eggs for brunch. Perfectly cooked. Jered our waiter had great stories and lots of personality.

Very impressed with the quality of food! Our table got mussels and schmear to share and the steak was delicious too! Very impressed with the service and staff, prices were great for what you get too!

Came here for dinner the other night, the burger was excellent and the fries were extremely addictive.

They have a special house hot sauce that you can mix with their ketchup for a delicious spicy sauce for your burger or fries too.

Only got to try one of the cocktails, but the one with grapefruit and lime, their version of a Palermo, was very good.

We met friends at Gotham last night for dinner and it was amazing from start to finish. We ordered the charcuterie board and the Brussels sprouts as apps, and they were delicious. The fresh pasta with house made pastrami, the pork shoulder and the steak frites were prepared perfectly. Nice wine list, great classic cocktails and wonderful service from Jared. My only criticism is that the feng shui is off. The decor just doesn’t add up and is neither inviting or cohesive. I know this restaurant is only 8 months old, but pull a designer in pronto because the mish mash look of the entry, flooring, table and chair styles vs.the booths, not to mention the art, needs to be a bit more upscale to match the amazing food. The competition in the restaurant biz is fierce, we’ll be supporting Gotham because the food and service is superior, but Austin diners that frequent places want it all pulled together. I’ll be spreading the good word! Good luck Gotham!
