Grace Discovery Center reviews
13I am grateful to have found Grace Discovery Center when my child was a toddler. The staff created a safe and loving environment. My child loved it the nearly two years she attended.
My Boy loves this place! He has always been happy to go to school & has so many things to share at the end of his day. Highly recommended. We've been here for about 2 years & can't imagine a different daycare family. Thank for all you do, Grace!
I’ve watched this Childcare Center grow from Day 1…. And I know the heart of soul of the owner, Melissa Parker, and Jessica Rives the Director, and their heart is always to provide the best care possible for each child that goes to Grace. It is a very multicultural, all levels of income, open door policy to all children; accompanied by love and care for each individual child. You need to check out their history with the community for verification of the quality of this Center. *****
One of the worst daycares in the area. I would not recommend this facility to anyone unfortunately.
Jessica has been great since we have been there! The teachers are amazing. Nene is such a sweat heart to my kid and treats him like her own! Im very fortunate to have found this place when we did! Thank you Grace discovery for everything yall do for us!
Both my kids attend GDC and we love Jessica and the staff here! I love that the teachers keep me updated with pictures everyday and that my kids are always doing fun crafts, working on sensory skills, and they play on the playground when the weather is nice. The staff is very accommodating and understanding. I recommend Grace Discovery Center if you need a place for your kids!
Horrible, horrible people. Racist staff.leaves children unattended. This place needs to be shut down. If you care about your children at all do not send them here
I feel very fortunate to have found such a great place for my kids. I am able to go to work and feel confident that my kids are safe and loved.
Trusting your children with people is not always easy but grace has always put the safety and happiness of my children first they go above and beyond in the center and outside. The love and compassion they show all the kids is out of this world. They treat every child the same no matter what. My kids love going here after school and during the summer. They grow bonds with teachers and staff I always wanted them to have! Some of the best people I have met thru my children attending. Jessica has always looked out for my babies in and out always. Keep being who you guys are because the truth always shows through the negativity falsely spread. Mrs auby always welcomes my babies with love and kind words! We love our grace family!
I’d rather not say what affiliation I have or what child or what incident due to retaliation from the director. Just know, steer faaaaar away and clear of this place till that lady is gone!
I would not recommend this daycare to anyone due to the incident that occurred here with the director attacking a instacart driver. The main part that disturbs me is that she was speaking racial slurs to the driver and she has African American children in her care. No children especially children of color should attend this establishment. Who knows how these poor babies are being mistreated since we are aware that the director is racist towards black people. I will be filing a complaint with Child Care Regulations.
One of the worst daycares in Temple. They don't interact with the babies. They'll leave your child in a bouncer for the entire day. They apparently aren't "allowed" to rinse out bottles so they'll let your baby cry and go hungry, all day. And won't call you to assist, even when they know you work less than five minutes down the road. The work effort in this place is bare minimum to put it nicely. Extremely disappointed and so glad we'll be switching to a better daycare.
There are some great things to say about this daycare but the negatives outweigh the positives for me. I loved my one of my sons teachers. She was kind, caring, and passionate about my kids. If she worked at a different daycare, I would follow her. They hired a new front office assistant before I left who was very kind. The issues lie solely with the director. When my youngest’s needs we’re not being met because he needs just a little extra attention due to him having autism, he was pushed to the side like he didn’t matter and stuck in a room with kids younger than him. When I brought this to Jessica’s attention, she spent 30 minutes in a meeting calling me passive aggressive and treating my son like he was an inconvenience to them. “We are not equipped to accommodate your child. ” That’s what i was told. After I vocalize my frustration they decide to kick him out. I have found a place where my son thrives so in the end it all works out but for my other two children, I had to spend weeks where Jessica treated me different than any other person who walked into that daycare so I found somewhere else to go. Now I am sure I will receive a comment back from the owner who says “sounds like we weren’t a good fit for you” or place the blame on anybody but themselves like they have done to other parents speaking up about their experiences. Parent to parent find somewhere else for you children.
