RE: Grafe Chevrolet Service Department

On 12/21/22, I took my truck in for AC service. I told them the truck had leaked all the freon out and I needed to get it fixed. Grafe Service determined the compressor was leaking and needed replacement. The bill for that service was $1418.47.

On 3/28.23, I took my truck back in as the AC was not blowing any cold air again. The previous repair had not solved the problem of not providing cold air to the passenger compartment. Grafe Service found no leaks, but recharged the system. The truck had been driven 84 miles since the first repair. The bill for that service was $241.44.

On 5/4/23, I took my truck back in as the AC again was not blowing any cold air. Grafe Service determined the compressor was leaking at a joint in the main body of the compressor. The compressor was replaced, but since they had used a non-GM compressor on the last repair, only the part was covered, not the labor or the freon. The truck had been driven 62 miles since the previous service. The bill for that service was $426.68.

On 6/29/23, I took my truck back in as the AC again was not blowing any cold air. Grafe Service determined there was a leak at the service ports. The ports were replaced and the system recharged. The truck had been driven 30 miles since the previous service. The bill for that service was $340.39.

On 12/29/23, I am taking my truck to a different repair facility to see if they can fix my original problem in that the freon was leaking from the AC system. The truck has been driven 295 miles since the previous service.

$2,426,98 in repair costs (SO FAR) that never fixed the original problem of no cold air blowing from the AC system.

The Warranty Disclaimer statement on their invoices states parts and services are provided "as-is" with no warranties "express or implied" provided. Highly doubt I'll be going back to Grafe Service department any more as, in my case, they do not stand behind their work, will not be recommending them to anyone, and probably not going back there to buy any more new or used cars/trucks.

UPDATE: I took my truck to a Chevrolet dealer in Victoria, They found a leak at the shrader valve which had previously been replaced by Grafe. They replace the line attached to the valve, and recharged the system. They tested and found no leak.
Hopefully this problem has now been resolved. There is no "Warranty Disclaimer" on the Victoria Dealer's receipt and the service representative said if the problem continues, bring it back and they will fix it and warrant their work.
There is a local repair shop that I will be taking my cars/trucks to from now on for routine work and I will be taking the Chevrolet trucks to the dealer in Victoria for any significant work.

These people will rip you off! Not once not twice but 3times! The mechanic was let go because i wouldn't let them get me for 800 bucks and my battery they purchased without my authorization! Now they want to charge me 300 bucks for coolant they didn't put in and the light came back on.

Previously when I thought of car shopping I would cringe because of the bad experiences at other dealerships over the past couple of years. I left feeling manipulated and exhausted from the negotiations with the "guy" behind the privacy glass that I never met. However, dealing with Angela and her team at Grafe's has changed my perspective. Angela stays late to accommodate your schedule, she's a straight shooter and she deals with you direct. There might be some privacy glass on her office, but she doesn't hide behind it. She offers a fair price without the aggravation. AND Grafe Chev GMC does a great job of supporting the communities they serve! Thanks Angela, Gwen and the whole team!

On July 21,2023 we purchased a 2023 Suburban. We drove 4.5 hours to get this Suburban. There were 2 visible dents that we found and pointed out to Angela, our salesperson. She said she would submit a claim to GM (and did so, or told us she did so, before we officially purchased the vehicle). She explained that it would be a simple fix ("PDR") and that someone could come out to our house to do it. We purchased the vehicle with the assurance from Angela that they would fix the dents. We did get an IOU in writing from the dealership before we left.

However, it's one month and after numerous phone calls (all of which I've left my name and number), no one has returned my calls. I've also tried email and still no response. There has been no communication from the dealership to resolve this issue.

I'm disappointed to say the least. I do plan to escalate this and get it resolved.

Great service and a great deal on our new vehicle. Not only did she (Angela) help us throughout the whole process, she was very personable and answered all our questions. Even when the process was taking longer than expected she still found a way to make things very easy for my family.

After talking to salesperson for 3 days, driving 5 hours and agreeing on price and truck …. Guess what …. They didn’t have the truck! We were buying a 3500 and salesman said she was going to get truck. She drives up in a 2500. My husband said this is not the truck we agreed on and she says … it’s the same truck just a little smaller! This is just plain and simple BAD BUSINESS!

Our car broke down on the way through their town on our way to visit a terminally ill family member. They drove my husband to pick myself our daughter and two dogs back to the dealership and treated us like family while they immediately got on top of fixing our car. A very bad day was made so much better by their top notch service and kindness. We have and will continue to let people know how great these guys are!

The service department is horrible. They need to get a hold of that place. They’re not fixing the vehicles that they say they’re fixing and they’re robbing people for their money. We have been advised to get a lawyer. The women are extremely rude if you don’t like your job, get another one. I love Chevy dealerships. This one is by far the worst one I’ve ever been to so whoever owns this one needs to look into the employees because they’re running off people that would have been loyal customers. The woman in that office needs some Jesus.

Stop for help while traveling. Chevy truck pulling a 5th wheel. Def light was on worried about going into limp mod they tell us to take the camper somewhere they don't want it in the lot WTH no help there. Went to the next town Chevy dealer they put us up for the night in their lot

Went to dealership yesterday to look at purchasing a new vehicle. Female sales person was rude nonresponsive and generally not interested in dealing with me at any level she complained about the cold weather and clearly had no interest in helping me find a vehicle. I don't understand how somebody could run a business like this. This is a small town dealership that is probably limit has limited employees. My guess is that this person is either connected as a family member to the dealership or simply doesn't care about sales for whatever reason. Wake up and smell the coffee there are other dealerships I'll take my business elsewhere. Thank you very much.

Vehicle not washed or detailed, paperwork missing, understaffed and unorganized. This is my 3rd Chevrolet Camaro and by far the worst buying experience I've ever been apart of. I bought strictly because I loved the vehicle.

I had a positive, low stress experience purchasing my 2023 Traverse from Grafe Chevrolet GMC. Angela worked hard to find me a vehicle and was straight forward with the pricing and financing. I highly recommend Grafe Chevrolet.
