The "beach" really is a lake or it seems like one, where the tide comes up.cute idea but needs some work.trash was in the water, lots of rocks and pebbles, could use some fresh sand and update the concession stand and shop.
Small adjustments, fresh paint, perhaps speakers to play music, and minor changes to the entry, would make for a fantastic small town hangout. Now they're where people enjoying themselves but for me personally, I wouldn't hangout nomore than 30 minutes or less.
If the city of Granbury is reading, I wouldn't mind coming back to help with revamping the beach! Great city!

The ducks covered the sand with poop. There was so much we didn't even like walking on it. We definitely weren't going to stick around and play in the sand. We've been many other times over the past several years and never had a problem.

"A real gem of a park! The bathrooms are clean, the beach is beautiful, and there are plenty of benches for relaxing. The wide expanse of sand is great for picnics or lounging in the sun, and the dock provides a peaceful spot to enjoy the water. All in all, this park is a relaxing oasis! "

The entire beach is covered in duck poop. There is a dropping every square foot. We tried to push some of it away to law down towels only to discover that there is just more poop below the surface of the sand. The city absolutely should clean this beach before the weekends when visitors come to the city to enjoy the lake.

Nice little beach area. Water was warm. Not the greatest area unless you are going to do nothing but relaxing. They don't really have anything to do there. Gotta drive a long way to do things. Not a place I will vacation at again.

Granbury is very nice, great waterfront places, restaurants, things to do. The downtown square has many nice shops, restaurants, bench's for old guys like me to sit while waiting on wife shopping. Around town is so much to do too. Nice houses around lake. Loved the restaurants on the water and this one watching fish and ducks fight for food. At Christmas the square is well decorated (prior trip), and horse biggie rides are for hire. Really enjoyable trips.

I use to live in San Diego, CA.and when I saw the beach area and Granbury Lake it immediately reminded me of San Diego where I had lived for over seventeen years. It was a pleasant surprise.

Great place to get a beach and not have to drive 8 hours. Sand could use a cleaning, lots of small trash. It's free. People need to take care of the free spaces we have and quit chasing the ducks.

About a 40 minute drive from Fort Worth city limits on 377. Clean, safe, low key family fun day without any admission or parking fees. A day at the lake is good for the soul.

Great time today with the family! Our new favorite spot to chill, I was able to get some work done, and then relax in the lake. They had clean restrooms (aside from sand), trash cans near every picnic area, and several metal canopy areas covering a table. They also have a snack bar, Kayak/tube rentals, a mini splash pad, and free parking. No dogs allowed, no grills, no fire pits or fires allowed, and no glass. I'd make sure to read the rules online before just in case. Oh and the sand is HOT. Enjoy!

It would be great except for the ducks and geese pooping all over the sand. Someone should be cleaning the beach every hour. There are two people at each entrance who sit there all day. Give them something to do! I won't be back and will let everyone I know not to go there. Could be a great beach area for families. I am in my late 70's and have NEVER seen a beach that dirty.

It's fine, sand is mixed with various litter, there are bathrooms available and a volleyball net as well as covered seating if you're able to grab a spot

Lovely area to enjoy a sandy beach for free. Showers worked and was not too busy even on July fourth week.
