Grand Kabab & Biryani reviews
18This small restaurant is darn good. Waitress is all smiling and provide reasonably good service. I shall comeback for Hyderabadi Dam Biryani.
I tried chicken biryani, butter chicken and kadai chicken here it was the yummiest I would say.i highly recommend grand kabab
Ordered off of Uber eats. Food had a funny smell, I tried it out anyways. Tried to contact owner for Q&A - NO response. Woke up this morning feeling ill. I’ll never eat here again, would not recommend. Food is horrible.
I had a delivery, spent almost $80 on Uber eats. Worst food ever ate. Fry Goat biryani very fake, white rice mixed with goat curry on the top doesn’t make it Goat Biryani. Never ever eat Malai Botti with covered shell on chicken (make me laugh) lentils were ok to eat so we compromised eating only lentil curry. Over all No taste at all. Even though not confirmed Halal or not. Definitely not recommended. Waste of time & $$$.
The worst food I ever had this place does not serve any Pakistani food
If you want eat halal Pakistani food then I won't recommend this place for it
I took the recommendation of the waitress and had the best dish I've ever had. What was it? Oh no, I don't remember. Regardless, the familiar item I ate (chicken tandoori) was equally divine! So grateful for this establishment and their care for my tummy and taste buds.
Had delivery. Taste of goat? Biryani full of bones. Tried the boneless chicken too and honestly just not worth the price. Would never tell anyone to eat there. Hardly any meat. Over killed every dish w onions. Now the worst of all! The worst Naan bread period! I really didn’t know you could even make it so bad. See thru! Holes everywhere and burnt burnt couldn’t eat. Disappointed.
The restaurant is not very attractive but the food was delicious. Service was ok. I’d recommend it for take out.
I recently had an amazing experience at Grand Kabab and Biryani restaurant in Katy, TX after a delayed flight and a road trip to Austin. After a long and hectic journey, my craving for Indian subcontinent food led me to this restaurant. The hospitality, quality, and taste of the food were exceptional. I had a wonderful conversation with the owner over some delicious chai, which made me forget I was not in India. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely visit again when in Houston.
Came here with my girlfriend to try something new and we loved it! The mughlai chicken was our personal favorite, but the Goat Rogan was excellent as well.
Ordered chicken biryani and chicken 65 biryani here for lunch. Chicken 65 biryani was so bland that it literally had colored rice with some chicken pieces. The 65 pieces were tasting horrible and just there was food color in it. Absolutely wasted $15 for it. Chicken biryani was very average and the chicken piece tasted yuck. Will never turn up again.
I really hate leaving negative reviews, but wanted to save others some money. This is probably my worst Indian food experience. Please see below:
Goat Biryani - Amateur flavoring with hardly any goat meat. It's really hard to screw up Biryani if you use all the spices.
1×Butter Chicken - Good for Katy, but not enough spices.
1×Chicken Bihari Kabab - HORRIBLE! It tastes like soggy powdered meat.
1×Chicken 65 - Good
1×Tandoori Chicken1/2 - Zero flavoring. It's like they dipped it in some yellow food coloring / spices a few minutes before grilling it. Some pieces were burnt.
Overall, very amateur food.
The phone lines my be difficult to communicate. I am grateful they offer two numbers. One to the food.
If you are sensitive to spicy food, this might no be the cuisine for you. Even then, take time to discuss the spice levels to their rice dishes.
I love Indi culture cuisine. I love spiced food. They are the only ones I know thus far that make Paneer tikka Kabab. Kabob Korner used to offer that dish and they removed it. It broke my heart.
They have wonderful customer service. Over the phone is a bit testy, but in person the woman at the register conneted with me and was happy yo see that I found some of the videos on their TV very touching and funny while I waited for the food.
My only string feedback on the dishes is to inform customers on the spice levels and ensure that some of the product has the described ingrediants. The chicken we ordered didnt look like the photo and my partner didnt like it. My paneer tikka didnt have grilled onions.
Im givving it a 4 because its still damn good food an
My FIRST Chicken Biryani pick-up order with Grand Kabab & Biryani: -
1. Biryani was hot, flavorful, WITHOUT any artificial colors (found excessive colors used in other place) and WITHOUT excess oil.
2. Chicken - was tender, flavorful and the portions were enough for one person serving. Overall very satisfied.
Thank you. Hope you keep up the good work & quality always.
My 4th Biryani today and as always, very tasty and good quality
The food was very tasty and provided more than normal quantity. And the best part was the service by Anusha at the counter, who was also serving us, plus Mansur was very friendly with kids amd made us feel very comfortable with small kids
Great taste, I would recommend every one to visit Grand Kabab & biryani restaurant to have an amazing experience.
I hate to give such low ratings to local businesses, but this food did not taste good. Instead of 20 mins we waited 45 mins which was fine. But the food, no excuse for that. We ordered goat and chicken biryani. Goat biryani was basically masala rice topped with mostly bony pieces with barely any meat on them. Just two different things assembled together which is not a biryani. It wasn’t good. Chicken biryani was worse. No flavor what so ever with 2 pieces of chicken. We didn’t finish any of it. I was so excited to try something that was local but don’t think we will order here again.
Excellent Food …first time had authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani and it’s 10/10.
Butter chicken was amazing with garlic naan.friendly staff the chef himself came out to ask how was the food…over all every one loved the tasty food, will visit again.thanks
