I came to this location when I first moved to Texas 3 years ago. They messed up my hair so I decided to find a new one, and I did and I've had a perfect hair cut since. My regular gal was on vacation so I decided to try Beach st again. I went in this weekend. When I walked in, a few ladies said welcome to great clips but none even looked in my direction. Finally I get called for a cut. My hair is a 1/2 on the sides and just trim the top. Pretty simple. When I was finished the lady had my hair kind of combed to the side so I couldn't tell it was bad. I even tipped $10. I got home and showered and after looking at my hair, it's all messed up. Pictures are attached of the lovely straight job she did on the front. The front is a total hack job and the rest of my head is all varying different lengths. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

It's a hit and miss with this location. If you don't want to pay a lot for a cut from a certified barber or last-minute cut, then this place isn't a bad option. I usually cut my own hair, but if I'm lazy then I'll come here.

Quick and very good. The Lady that cut my hair was so maticulious and I like how she took her time too. Recommend them to anyone

This hair salon is nice.always quick and the hair stylist "MAY" she is nice, professional and quick and does a excellent job.

Stay away from this place! Just has the worst haircut of my life at this location. It was clear from the beginning that the older asian lady who began assisting me, could not speak functional English. At that point, I should have politely asked to wait for another stylist. Instead, I assumed, as an older lady she must know what she was doing. I explained clearly what I wanted. Five shave on the side but leave the top long. I specifically said, I just want a little off. If it gets too short it’s hard to style. She immediately pulls out the clippers and just butchers my hair. Seven minutes later, she’s done and it’s so short it’s spiking up n the front like it’s a crew cut! I even stated part way through, it’s to short don’t go shorter. And she kept repeating “it’s fine, it’s good. ” What kind of business employs someone that can’t even communicate with a client? How are you supposed to provide a service, when you can’t even understand what the client wants. I gave very simple directions, and they were just flat out ignored. I’ve had good experiences at other Great Clips locations. But, absolutely stay away from this place!

I usually go to one certain woman there and she wasn’t there this past Saturday, so I decided to go with a lady that was there since I did need my haircut. One of the worst haircuts I’ve had there and the next time I go, I’ll make sure to walk out if the lady that always does a great job is there.

UPDATE: 12/16/2022
**** Prices have gone up like everything else. Customer service is still good but they definitely need to hire some people. I was there last week and there was only one person working, and she was doing her best to keep up. However, several people checked-in online which left her with a waiting list. I've forgotten her name, but she knows who she is. Shout-out to this very patient and overworked hairdresser.

I brought my 5 year old daughter in on Nov 21,2022 and was paired with a stylist with purple hair, glasses, and arm tattoos (I called later and was told the person's name is Erica). I understand that children can be fidgety so I asked Erica how I could help direct or distract my child. Erica rejected the help and said "I'll just tell her what to do" then said something to the affect of "otherwise I'll take an ear off". I assured my daughter that Erica was not going to take her ear off. Erica responded with "I'm not going to take an ear off, we have enough ears. ". I found that this type of humor was incredibly morbid, unprofessional, and shows the lack of healthy experience with young children, but I allowed her to proceed. Erica started combing out my daughter's hair and noticed some strands of sticky ice cream. Erica complained and asked if she was saving it for later. After a couple of minutes of combing out her hair, Erica groaned, let out a sigh of exasperation, and mumbled "finally I'm done". While Erica was standing in front of my daughter and parted her hair, Erica realized a missed tangle and loudly groaned and complained. That was enough. I told Erica to "please stop and take off my daughters cape because we're done and leaving. ". Erica pivoted between my daughter and I and asked if I was sure and continued to comb her hair. I said "yes! ". Erica continued to comb her hair and asked why. I quickly told her that her attitude was abrasive and rude. She asked me "how? ", while still combing her hair. At this point Erica STILL HASN'T TAKEN OFF MY DAUGHTERS CAPE. I literally had to amplify my voice and ask Erica again to "please stop and take off my daughters cape. ". Clearly asking once wasn't enough for her. As she took off the cape, she said in a soft and gentle voice "Be careful getting down from the chair sweetie. ". Who is this other person that just appeared? My daughter and I left and she obviously didn't get a haircut. My family and I will never visit this location or likely any Great Clips again.

I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes AFTER my estimated wait time of 16 minutes. Then when I was going to be next up. Someone walked in and they had only signed up one person online and the person working allowed them to change it to THREE for his kids as well and proceeded to tell me I would have to wait for all of them. I checked in online and I was there well before they showed up. I will never go to this great clips again. And I would strongly recommend you don’t either. Great clips is great just not this location. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Did good on the cut. Except the side burns were uneven. I'm not sure she dusted him off at all. It looked like he got thrown into a hair tornado. It was kinda gross.

In light of the negative review received by Kaitlyn. You "botched his hair" was the 1st thing you mentioned "during the move. ". COLORADO
Also said they were going to charge you $40 to cut his hair elsewhere You stood over and watched the whole haircut with NO DISAGREEMENTS. Fortunately for you social media can possibly damage a persons reputation from sheer spite. Well NOT HERE.

I paid with my debit card and I added a $4.00 tip on a $20.00 hair cut.when I see my online banking I was charged several dollars more! I'm disputing the charge.

Wish I could give 0 stars. My son's hair was completely butchered here. From the moment I walked in the first person I spoke to was rude. I should've just walked out at that point but my son just needed a simple trim so I thought we'd just get it over with. We did not get a simple trim, inches were cut off in random areas including the very front which now absolutely cannot be fixed without cutting all of his hair to a very short length. He is so angry and sad and it's heartbreaking to watch your kid feel that way. When I told the lady cutting his hair to stop as I saw what mistakes she was making and how the front had been done, she tried to make constant excuses and blame the mess on me. She then tried to tell me that because she has 4 mixed race children and I only have 1 that she knows his hair better than I do. I am amazed at the inappropriate and rude behavior I dealt with here. Absolutely recommend staying far away from this business.

New person cut my boys hair. Showed her 3 pics, told her I didn't want that much cut off because he was growing it out. Proceeded to lob off 3 plus inches on one side in the middle of the back. Told her that was too short, but the damage was done. She tried to blend it, but now he has a stupid bob looking haircut in the back, longer in the front and I'm looking for someone to fix it before school in the morning.

Absolutely hate my haircut. It’s so uneven and she totally thinned out my hair when she “layered” it. She rushed through my hair cut and now I have to go get it fixed as a result of her neglecting to take the time to make sure my hair was even. $16 haircuts always sound like a good idea until you see the end result, definitely my last time going to a GreatClips. I can’t even look at my hair without becoming upset.

Worst customer service experience. I called to see if they could wash my mom’s hair because she just had surgery and is unable to wash her own hair.
The lady that answered the phone said yes but for me to check in online so we don’t have to wait. I checked in using my mom’s name and my phone number since I was the one driving 30 min away to pick her up. I wanted the updates via text as to the wait. We get there and the lady up Front said that I need to enter my mothers phone number instead which place test at the bottom of the line to wait an additional 25 minutes. Makes absolutely no sense. We left and went to Kees Salon -13 min away. They immediately took my mother in and washed her hair with much compassion. Will be calling corporate office on Monday!
