Great Room Escape, Richardson TX

The Escape Room was an absolute blast. The host was amazing. He was very thorough in explaining how everything worked without giving away too much. When we entered the “room, ” our host told us the story of how we got there and how to get out, never breaking character. He followed along with us as we tried to escape, providing encouraging, and sometimes pretty funny commentary. The space itself was clean and organized, making the journey both exciting and difficult. Overall, we were able to escape, with maybe a clue or two, and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

We had a fun and challenging time at our recent birthday celebration. We escaped with 30 seconds to spare! I would go with a fun group who likes to have a good time.

Came here because of the overwhelmingly high reviews and was very disappointed in what happened. The outside is kind of sketchy but we want in anyways and were ushered to the 80's Dance party room. The room was set up very well and really captured the intended vibe. Once we got in, our gamemaster turned the clock to an hour and said you can begin. Usually there is some sort of intro or at least acknowledgement of what the end goal is but none was given until we asked. The challenges were great in theory but horrible in execution. We would try prospective codes for the locks and they would come undone because the room was not reset properly from the last group. This means we unlocked random clues and that were not in line with how we were supposed to find them. We had to keep track of every number or letter combination because we didn't know which actually worked or not. We ended up having to use two "hints" to provide some sort of structure. All in all, idea was great but poorly managed.

First time doing an escape room so I didn’t know what to expect. It was a great experience and a lot of fun. I loved the music from the 80’s and flashing back to that time period with all the memorabilia! We managed to escape but it wasn’t easy! Check it out!

This was our very 1st escape room and to say we had a blast is an understatement! We done the zombie room and our "butler" was Avery and our "zombie" was Sarah. They were both excellent actors and helped when needed. If we ever come back to San Antonio, we will definitely make time for another adventure there!

Referee was in room for session which was different but turned out not to matter as he quickly faded into background.
All in all good fun.

Very fun and interactive escape room! The coordinator was fun and attentive throughout and gave us great clues to help us escape. Overall, great experience.

We had a great time! We were all 10 people in the room. Room was challenging, but not impossible. 80's knowledge helpful, but I do not believe it was required.
