green seed vegan, Houston TX

Took a health conscious friend over to Green Seed Vegan. She wasn't sure I had the right place, from the outside looking in your never guess how good it is. Great healthy menu all vegan options and some raw dishes as well. Plus a nice selection of fresh juices, elixirs, and shots. If you want a good, healthy meal that makes you feel good, check this place out.

Really pricey for what you get. $6 brownie that was so so. Food was interesting and tasty but not 5 star. Try it out for a vegan meal day but I doubt I will be back to spend this much again.

Went again and ordered sweet potato fries with a small smoothie and it was over $11! Seriously? Both were good but this is a bit much so think I won't return. Many other reasonably priced vegan spots in Houston like Sunshine Deli.

Absolutely love the cauliflower (chicken) sandwich and crispy sweet pot fries. Gave 3 stars because I need to know the calories. Please add that!

Good food, love that they have raw options. My favorite raw options are the the raw tacos and the cheesecake. Love the pina verde drink as well. Some stuff can be a bit pricey, but I’m sure a lot of work goes into creating these dishes.

I love the sweet potato fries. I loved the green mile blend. Awesome place with healthy food. They help keep the community healthy! That is what counts! Support this business!

The cauliflower nuggets here are incredible! I drive an hour from Huntsville just to get several bags of them, but it's worth it every single time lol

Green Seed Vegan was in a nice location and has a unique selection of tasty food. The parking was quite difficult, and the food was a little too expensive for what it was, and this includes the juices that one might order there. Obviously, it is vegan-friendly, though I could not speak to other dietary requirements. Would be an acceptable place for meat-eating friends to join in a meal.

Took a vegan colleague from out of town here for lunch. It was a bit confusing for them because English is not their first language and the menu uses terms like “chickun” to indicate plant-based meat substitutes. It’s also a bit tough to read the font of the menu above the casier and that made it harder for my colleague to understand what it said. The food was delicious and we both enjoyed our meals. It’s a bit pricey for the portion sizes, but I wasn’t hungry when I left and I recognize that (unfortunately) it is more expensive to source non-soy vegan ingredients. Parking could be a challenge during busy times and the spaces are not the easiest to navigate. Overall, it’s a great place to take someone with very restrictive dietary needs because they can accommodate pretty much anything (gluten-free, vegan, no soy, etc.).

Loved the atmosphere in this place and the food. Top notch Vegan food with flavor. The drinks are amazing as well. Will define you be going back.

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this place is. I’m not vegan but I needed to detox from all of the junk I was eating. Between the smoothie, cold pressed drinks and food, this place is the one. I love the Pineapple Mint Apple Wheatgrass drink, it truly rejuvenates you along with their Pineapple Blueberry smoothie, delicious. The cauliflower bites are amazing, the burgers are amazing, I’ve heard great things about the tacos, so I want to try those next. The great thing about this place is that there are no beyond burgers and it’s soy free. I’ve found my new paradise. I wanted to scream to the rooftops that the food network needs to come here but discovered they were already featured as one of the Best Vegan restaurants in the country by the Food Network.

I am a die hard baked goods and desserts fan.but i’ve been fasting this month and had to find an alternative. I went in looking for something to just kick the craving but this gluten free vegan brownie just changed my life.this may turn into more than just a fast

Food**
I got the zen tempeh panini and it was very underwhelming. There was very little flavor to it and the balance of bread to tempeh and accoutrements was off. The saving grace was the fruit blend, which was tasty but not much effort put into it.

Service**
Very friendly staff but expect to wait a while to get your food.

Atmosphere***
Very bohemian style and cute. There is onsite parking and a good amount of seating including bar stool seating.

Price$$
Overpriced and not completely worth it.

I actually enjoyed the food, but after spending $15 I requested a cup of ice water and sadly I was told I could not have a cup of water. Staff shared “we don’t do that. ” I have never been to an establishment that doesn’t offer cups of water, to paying customers especially. Of course, they offered me bottled water for what I felt was a ridiculous price! I would have loved to continue to patronize this business, but unfortunately I will not. Please offer water to customers who for whatever reason don’t/can’t buy $5 water bottles.

So so good! Got a burger, which is an indulgence for me. But it didn’t seem greasy or heavy. Super sweet staff, happy to accommodate. Loved getting reusable plates instead of throw away stuff. Hard to choose something off the menu because it all looked amazing.

This is my favorite vegan spot in Houston. I like that they require masks. Just put a mask on if you want service…not that hard. The place is quite small so really no room for social distancing. I always get the sweet porta panini, cauliflower nuggets and strawberry fields smoothie. $24 minus tip. I would say that the portion size of the cauliflower nuggets is quite small and the sweet porta is large. Service is always great.

Ordered to go and got my food very quickly. The "cheese" on my illy was delicious and could have fooled me. Service was great! Will definitely be back.

A very delicious meal and juices. My father and I were in town visiting and had the pleasure of eating here on our last day in town. I had the Solburger and my dad had the Bombay panini. The food was delicious. I wanted to taste everything but will have to wait til my next visit to Houston.
