Groom & Sons' Home Center, West Tawakoni TX

I mourn the loss of Tawakoni Lumber. The prices weren’t all competitive with Walmart, but enough to make it a regular stop. Now it seems the customers are paying for the facelift probably none of us cared about. I don’t mind waiting on a printer on the fritz if the prices are decent, if not great, and the service is good but that’s gone too. It makes me sad.

They need to stay open longer during the day and they not too friendly if you are near there and it’s before 5pm and live in Tawakoni I would say go for it but other than that I wouldn’t

Prices are ridiculous same tools at every other hardware store for less than half the price. This business has changed owners many times and every time that's the only thing I have always had a problem with. They have everything but for at least double the price. I suggest to check anywhere else when it comes to their tools.

My First time there. Just minutes from my house. Nice friendly atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and they had exactly what I have been searching for for days at other local stores! Love it. I will definitely return.

Very very helpful, unlike most places now, real people working with people.they wait on you. Not stand and watch.

Super friendly and helpful! The second I walked in the door there was somebody greeting us, pointing us in the right direction, and even getting my kids balloons. Awesome place, friendly staff. Definitely going to come back!

Staff was so very helpful and answered all my questions as well as made some very good suggestions. Sorry I didn't get her name but will look for her each time.

What a way to run a business.
Unacceptable.
1. Went in on Monday ordered sheetrock and a door that I cannot haul on a 2001 Kia Rio.
2. Was told it would be delivered on Tuesday after 2PM.
2.2PM comes and goes. At a little after 5 I called and the young woman who answered the phone told me her manager had left for the day and she did not have a clue to who had the delivery. I am surprised she can find her way to work.
3. I called after 7AM. And Skylar answers the phone, again no manager on site.
I am told my order was not to be delivered until Thursday. I was not told this and he implied my order was too small and delivery is free. Delivery is free at home depot or Lowe's if you spend over 45 dollars.
I will not be back to this don't give a damn about your order because it is small. Spent almost $170.00 with them. Not small to me.

Went in and was greeted and they offered to help me. They showed me were to go and showed me what to do. Great staff.
