Gruene United Methodist Church, New Braunfels TX

Of the churches we've visited or attended, this is our favorite. The kids love it, and the church seems to always be focused on doing good things for the community. Maybe it's just in an attempt to be cool, hip, or keep up with times, but there are some things that I don't necessarily agree with ideologically. The pastor seems to make a conscious attempt to be all-inclusive and tip toe around the woke agenda so as not to exclude either side but does seem to lean slightly one way. I like my church like my sports, without politics, so that's definitely my only drawback here. Otherwise, I would say it was an excellent church.

First impressions count. I needed food, a shower, and to wash two loads of clothes.

Rented one of their facilities and they canceled the rental a couple of weeks before the event. Has to scramble for another location.

This morning was our first time visiting and we're so glad we did! Beautiful service! The pastor was great and funny. The worship was awesome! Can't wait to go back next Sunday!

Allow me to explain my 1-Star.

In September, I watched a German Shepard freely walk out of the sanctuary. Members of the congregation pet this dog. A reliable source confirmed the existence of 3-4 emotional support dogs inside the sanctuary. Pet allergens attach to everyone and everything near it. Immunotherapy is not a cure. Please leave your pets at home. I have Asthma!
