Mexican Restaurant Güero's reviews
24So good! Food was excellent and the staff were all super busy and still friendly and attentive.
We only had to wait forty minutes on Cinco de Mayo! The queso was great, but the guac was perfection. You should definitely order the fresco sauce, it was top notch! Our enchiladas were delicious, and we had an amazing time. Love it.
The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. Our sever was informative and shared some history about the place. I am definitely going back!
Food was great wait was about 20 minutes on a Saturday night at 8pm only had to wear masks to walk-in. The server has been there over 25 years so that tells you something!
First time being to Austin and we had an amazing experience here. The best Margarita's, amazing homemade tacos, and live music. The staff was super helpful and great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Good Mexican food spot offering reasonably priced options in the SoCo area of Austin. Good prices on drinks for happy hour there too. Housed in a previous feed and seed store with chipping turquoise painted brick walls for an old school feel. Had the fish tacos which were good but food was on the bland side. Chips & 3 types of salsa were given when we were seated.
Food is pretty tasty. We enjoy breakfast here. Beware all the snooty people though. South Congress can attract people who may think they are better than the rest of the world. Honestly you'd be better off hitting up Casa Garcia's off Manchaca. Better for less. Truly.
Fantastic food. Great tamales and enchiladas. A very happening place in the evenings so get there early. Wonderful entertainment in the garden. An expansive margarita menu.
In the heart of South Congress, serves excellent interior Mexican Food. I highly recommend trying the Tacos Especiales de Guero’s. Also, you can catch some great live music at the Oak Garden while enjoying a cold drink. There is public parking in the garage behind the restaurant. Be sure to get your ticket validated after you dine.
Always love the food & atmosphere. Decent prices, too. Today, our server was a little off. Managers were often nearby and made our experience better than it could have been.
Good. However I can't eat very much do to weightloss surgery and tried to order a kids meal and they wouldn't let me.
It is really good tex-mex food, I love it from the first visit ️. I tried queso flameado today and it was very delicious beef steak with cheese, we asked mushroom with it and it tasted amazing!
Good food and a nice atmosphere. The drinks are ok, but kinda small. The service was great. Still worth going. Beware of the limited parking. You may have to pay at the garage unless you can park, walk down, wait to be seated, order, eat, walk back and exit out of the garage in less than two hours.if so, you can validate your parking. We weren't so lucky.
Great food and atmosphere. However, my credit card was cloned at this restaurant. I am sure of this because I paid my meal and a few hours later charges started appearing on my statement. Need to screen employees better
Food & service were good and fast. Friendly people. Only thing tacos were slightly drier than I expected them to be. If you like you tacos cheap greasy and flavorful.this is not the place. Lol Would visit again if I'm in town
Great atmosphere, excellent attentive service, and even better food! The breakfast tacos were AMAZING!
Live music in the garden on a Sunday early afternoon was fabulous. Coming misters really helped, cuz it was hot as blazes!
Service was fine but the margarita was nasty and the food horrendous I've never had Mexican food this bad. The "red sauce" for enchiladas is basically ragu marinara. Potato fillers instead of actual ground beef. The fact the place was busy and "acclaimed" by locals made me think a lot less of the city.
We drive in from Georgetown at least twice a month for years until a couple of years ago, my health turned for the worse and couldn't get out as much. I think the last we were there was last year. The food is not as good as it use to be. Very disappointing! After driving all the way there and we are always taking family or friends out there, we won't be doing that again. They've lost us for good.
