Cafe Gypsy Joynt reviews
21Delicious food and friendly staff! Had the Smash Burger and Park Your Broom grilled cheese. Both were amazing! Definitely recommend.
I love this place! Please don't move to Stewart Rd! The current location is awesome! We are able to avoid all the heavy traffic in Galveston!
Saw this on Texas Bucket List and had to stop in. Great food and atmosphere was amazing. Will stop in every time we get to Galveston.
Very good food at a fair price. Edit: 2021 used to go here on a weekly basis, but today will be the last time. Food is still very good but the kitchen the last half dozen times or so has been horrible. Food can take close to an hour even with only a few tables occupied and appetizers often come out 15-30 minutes after main courses.
Ordered two beautiful charcuterie boards from there for my baby shower and they were DELICIOUS! The variety of treats on the board were impressive, unique, and fun to try.
How neat is this little joint! I saw a post about this place on the Galveston Facebook page months ago. We decided we had to try this little place out. Boy am I glad we did. Wonderful service, amazing food, and reasonable prices. Bonus points for the employee who had their super cute 3 wk old baby. She was so incredibly cute. I highly recommend the Mac Dog. Hotdog, Mac N cheese, and chorizo piled on a pillowly soft bun. Come check out this little gem when you visit.
Nice people, but terrible service. Food wasn’t terrible, but we waited an hour plus for 2 hot dogs. Servers were struggling the entire time.
Fun place huge menu something for everyone. Our favorites are the roasted beets, brussel sprouts and any of the pizzas.
This is our favorite spot. Any time we are in Galveston we make a point to come here. Awesome food and pastries.
Great vibe and atmosphere! Obvious that they take pride in their food. Very abundant portions and delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food and vibes!
Unique and fun spot to grab a bite in Galveston. You’ll enjoy looking at all of the funky and eclectic decor. The food is also really solid. We enjoyed the pizza and the burger was tasty as well. It is a smaller restaurant so just be aware that seating is limited. They also have some vintage arcade games that the kids loved.
Yummy choices- only downside is there are too many yummy choices! Love the atmosphere and friendly service. Will def be back!
Absolutely wonderful! Friendly and helpful staff and the food was absolutely! Definitely will come again!
I had the ocean Oscar fish sandwich. Not sure what fish they used but it was a white fish. This place is very unique and worth a stop if you are around the Strand area. The joint is eclectic and the people nice. Medium priced. Have fun.
A local favorite with great food. Have always enjoyed coming here. It’s often busy with at least average wait times (5+ minutes to order, then 10+ minutes to receive food). The service has always been good and the atmosphere is one-of-a-kind.
Very eclectic restaurant with some yummy food! Come in order your food, find yourself a table and wait for some great food! We had the fried beets and Brussel sprouts as an appetizer - yum were they good with a little sweet hoisin sauce. Then there was the burger with sweet potato jerves! I want to go back to this little place!
The Brussels are worth the trip every time. Unfortunately that's about the only thing on the menu I have found that is good. I have tried the wings which were no bueno. The burgers are bland. If you name a burger shroom burger atleast throw a few mushrooms on it. MEH at best! There is a pretty neat farmers market down the street on Sundays.
Absolutely amazing. It reminded me of this coffee shop in Colorado from back home. And they were amazing with my 2 year olds.
The menu is super eclectic and has a lot of seemingly odd combinations but everything we ordered just seemed to work.
The homemade oreos are a MUST TRY- seriously SO good.
We ordered takeout and all of the staff we interracted with were so friendly. I asked the girl on the phone to read back our order and she was so friendly about it (which is honestly rare to come by).
Our order came to us exactly as we ordered it.
