H-E-B Pharmacy reviews
18The people are nice but I have had multiple instances where the refill over the phone sometimes never gets filled. They always have multiple people behind the counter but the prescriptions are never filled in a timely manner. A prescription was electronically sent to them and I even checked in to make sure it was being filled before shopping. I was told it would take half an hour and I waited over 45 minutes after checking out and no one had even looked into filling the prescription even after I asked multiple times. There is no sense of urgency or professionalism involved in the process of quickly and efficiently getting people in and out.
I called the pharmacy at 2am with a very specific question to ask the pharmacist related to taking some medication after taking 2 other meds. She understood everything I was saying and saved me from a bad medicine combination and recommended a great solution. I wish I had her name. A+ service I wish I could tip!
The pharmacist here caused me to have an unpleasant experience here. Was extremely unwilling to answer any of my questions. Please avoid!
Frequent long lines. Long waits to fill prescriptions. About half the time I go there, the Pharmacy is out of common and frequently prescribed medications. More often than not it takes a two to three day wait to obtain prescriptions that aren't in stock. Coupons accepted by most every other pharmacy in the area are rejected by HEB staff with no effort to explain why or resolve the issue.
After having used this location multiple times for prescriptions, I have realized how awful their customer service can be. I understand that it's a busy location, but after standing there for 10 minutes waiting when no one else was even there, my boyfriend had to get someone's attention. Even when being helped I was offered no apology for the wait and the staff member barely said a word. A different time they called us to tell us it was ready, so we drive there to pick it up to find out it still needs 20 more minutes. After raising concerns to them about why they even called to tell me it was ready, they inform us that they don't ever call anyone for that. So I'm confused. Never got an apology for that either. There were multiple occasions where they needed to improve their customer service to the point where I started driving to a different pharmacy 10 minutes further to avoid the constant frustration. Worst pharmacy I have ever had to deal with.
Very understaffed. Should not take 2 hours to get medicine. It takes forever for someone to assist you at the counter, then even longer to get your meds.
. Busy store with a lot of pharmacy customers.the pharmacy team knows how to handle lots of orders and all types of people.
Always helpful in my experience, they can be busy but they are open 24 hours making it easier to adjust the time you pick up.
This is delayed, and I apologize, but Ms. Teresa helped me immensely. She went way above and beyond to ensure my son received his needed medication. His insurance had recently changed, and I hadn't received the new paper work as of yet, Ms. Teresa knew the codes and inputted them, and voila, everything came across the computer correctly, showing my son was covered, so I was able to pick up his anti-seizure medication. It was such a relief, she didn't need to do that extra step, and I honestly didn't expect her to. I hadn't even asked her to. I just mentioned it to her, as I picked up the prescriptions already there. She called me back to the counter, told me he was covered, and asked if I wanted to wait for his medication to be filled. She was/is wonderful.
Too long of a wait time and after waiting 2 hours I come back to pick up my meds I get told I don't have insurance when I know for a fact I have insurance and instead of Teresa trying to figure things out for me she begins to be rude and disrespectful to myself and my parents. I tell her I need the meds I am pregnant and have been waiting for 2 hours now to get my prescription and she proceeds to tell me she don't know what that has to do with anything and just being plain rude I do not appreciate it. Finally she finds my insurance gets it ready then tells me someone at the other window will talk to me about the meds but instead of her giving it to the right person she just sets it to the side without telling anybody. All of this began around 8: 15pm with her being rude up until 8: 45pm Lauren was really helpful in the beginning when I first walked in to get it filled!
The staff was rude, disrespectful, and seemed to be intentionally unhelpful. After spending two days in the hospital, I went there to fill my meds because the pharmacy that the hospital had sent them to was closed. They refused to help. So I went to Walgreens at Guadalupe/45th and despite the fact that there was a longer line at Walgreens, I had three people helping me within five minutes. Making calls on my behalf, working with my insurance, and figuring out a way to get a controlled substance filled there when it had originally been sent to a different pharmacy. The man at H-E-B wouldn’t so much as look at my RX. Never going back there.
I have been using this pharmacy for over a decade. The staff here knows me by sight and by name.
I came in to pick up pain pills after oral surgery. Only three people in line as it was 10: 45am on a Wednesday. I was told 30 minutes. It took an hour at which time I am now in massive pain due to your sucky slow employees. Lord you just have to count pills and put them in a bottle. Then I was told I needed counseling on taking these damn pills. I am 55 years old and you send a stupid 20 something over to tell me how to take pills. If you think in 55 years of life I have never taken a pain pill, you are the ignorant ones. Move faster and treat your customers like intelligent people. Some of us actually use our brains and can think.
They didn't give me all the ready medication.had a hard time even finding my prescriptions. This happened Many times I went there.
Worst place ever. Never fill prescription right. Try to give me different pills that “do the same thing”. Ugh no could you all please just give me what I was prescribed! I had a guy at the counter literally tell me how strenuous it would be to change the medication to what I was actually prescribed in an effort to get away with not doing it. Then! I get told they would fix it and that I could come back in a couple of days (which was ok because my pills hadn’t run out yet). They call me to pick them up and same damn thing! BUT now my pills have actually run out so im screwed. Avoid this place.
Thank goodness for this pharmacy - the people here must like their jobs because they are generally friendly and helpful.
This place is like the Walmart of pharmacies. Long lines, long wait times, apathetic employees, usually only one cashier, what else? I switched from CVS to here because GoodRX gave me a better deal on a medication. What a mistake. If you value your time, consider other pharmacies; this is not an "in and out" kind of place, even if your prescription is sitting on the counter filled.
I was told that I could fill my prescription 3 days before my refill date.went in and was told that was not possible. Now I wont have my prescription that I need since I will be in a 7 hour entrance exam on my prescription fill date. I am narcoleptic and need my medication to function properly.
