“Unable to find prescription” and telling customers to call and bother their physician because the pharmacy hasn’t even looked up new e-prescriptions is ridiculous. Also stating it could be “hours or longer” before a prescription shows up in their system is unacceptable.

All HEB Pharmacy have horrible customer service in general (with some exceptions when it comes to wonderful specific employees). But this store is extra bad. I had a prescription sent to the store alost 2 weeks ago and while my main insurance wouldn't pay for the rx, rather than having it ready for me and letting me just pay (or use GoodRX instead), they cancel my request and don't even call me. I had this one prescription sent in 6 times already!

I'll probably have to physically go to the store and complain to the pharmacy manager and request they fill it while I wait (despite having done that a week ago when the manager wasn't there). I'm almost out of my blood pressure medicine and there horrible lack of communication could cause a gap in taking this important medicine!

They are awful!

Update— wait time has improved the last few times. Added a star. -1 for having to yell my name and birthdate out to everyone instead of inputting it privately

Previous: I genuinely don’t have an hour to spend waiting for the checkout person every time I pick up. Considering moving my prescriptions. This cashier doesn’t even appear trained and he’s left alone.

Their refill ordering by phone doesn't work. Of course, one only figures it out after waiting in line for twenty minutes in vain.

I’m sitting here waiting for my order to be completed. These people are SAINTS. The things they are dealing with right now - impatient customers, incorrect insurance companies, huge lines… and all with so much grace. And Jasmine still noticed I was upset and took a moment to ask how I was doing and remind me to take a deep breath. I appreciated it so much.

I used to really like this pharmacy, but it’s gone downhill. The people here are nice and helpful when they can be, but it seems like the lines are longer and longer and the people working the registers are slower and less knowledgeable. Maybe HEB needs to pay more to keep good people in the pharmacy. I’ll be going back to CVS.

I’d get more accurate prescription help from the local hobo outside.
I’ve been getting prescriptions for 10 years? From basic to controlled substances. Never had an issue until I recently tried out HEB.
I’ve withdrawn from all my prescriptions multiple times waiting for mine to be filled.
Whether it’s them not getting them filled on time, getting them filled but the cashier miscommunicates my approval to pick them up and I get rejected, then told to come back because the cashier was wrong. One prescription was transferred from my other pharmacy and then was filled at the incorrect dosage.
Making me look like the bad guy because my doctor doesn’t respond to pharmacy requests, I have to call my doctor for refills to avoid inaccurate stuff like this?

I can handle it over my groceries but something that I heavily rely on for daily function is not okay. Totally disappointed at the service, the help, the attitude of staff, and the fact that I’m still without meds. Anyone who has to withdrawal from anti-depressants knows that MESSES YOU UP. And to have it handled like you’re an inconvenience is flabbergasting.

Be better.

I don't understand how inefficient this place is. Orders seem to be not completed as the norm and when you come in and ask for them their statement of thirty minutes is off. They are trying to help but I just don't understand how printing a label and putting medicine they have in stock is so slow. With over five visible people on staff they seem to still not be able to complete a simple order in thirty minutes.

This pharmacy is living in the year 2000 for delivery service, you have to call each time the day of delivery to set up a delivery (cant even call the day prior for tomorrow etc), then they tell you to stay home for 6 hours to receive it or it can be returned to the pharmacy! They are also kinda rude and lots of new staff.i personally moved all my prescriptions to a delivery only pharmacy (capsule) which has proven to be with the times (great app, communication, costs). HEB is sadly going to kill their pharmacy business with the 30 something generation if they don't get it together and get with the times.

Really nice staff, they are always really patient and friendly plus happy to use coupons!

I'm just leaving a review because I get voicemails from the pharmacy almost every day saying I have a prescription ready for pickup. Sometimes I do, but most of the time I don't so it's been really confusing and frustrating. I tried telling the staff so they could opt me out or switch me to text messages, and I do believe they are updating something on the computer. But I still get these voicemails.

Eventually I blocked the number and just go in when I think things are ready. Not terribly difficult, but sometimes things need refill approval so there are a couple of days between calling in and picking up. The voicemails would be really helpful if they worked, but since they don't I kind of have to guess and it makes things unnecessarily complicated.
