Magnificent food, it may look a bit expensive, but what we ate was very delicious in quantity and quality; Congratulations to the cooks and owners…

The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is decorated in all of the ways you'd expect a Cuban restaurant to be decorated. The service was professional, smart and prompt! I ordered the pork mofongo and it came with a pork mojo that was unlike anything I'd ever had before. A brilliant little meal.

Only detractor is that it was hot as heck outside and the a/c did not seem to work. The server commented on it and I saw a guy from the kitchen use an infrared thermometer to measure the heat at the ceiling. We were sweating the entire time.

I'm sure it's normally fine but it wasn't ideal to try to enjoy a meal in that heat.

Aside from that - don't skip this spot. Head a little further down Congress. You won't be disappointed.

Food was really good and large portions. The service staff is nice and welcoming. It is a little bit expensive compared to other Cuban restaurants I've been to but it is worth your money. Definitely recommend it

They have the best drinks here. The mojito, Comandante, and Habanatini are worth checking out. They make them perfectly each time.

The fried snapper, red beans, congris, maduros, and ceviche (not pictured) are my favorites! And gotta have tres leches and espresso for dessert!

Very good food, the waitresses do not speak Spanish, something strange for a Cuban restaurant, but it is great, good atmosphere, delicious food and very large portions, incredible flavor I recommend it

Used to go to this place occasionally maybe 10-15 years ago, their coffee and sandwiches and tostones were pretty good but they were always too expensive to justify going regularly.

Came back a couple of weeks ago and sat in the bar. The place is still comically expensive for what it is. Even happy hour was like 20% more expensive than the online menu-whatever.

Cuban server dude forgot about us like halfway through, had to close at the bar (Of course they wouldn't do it). I smelled some f-ery afoot after and checked the bill. Dude was ringing up premium liquors with our happy hour drinks without asking.

Pretty scummy bro. We went home, someone suggested you'd need the resulting extra $3 in tips for bus fare home, and we all laughed at you. Won't go back.

Fantastic Cubano Cuisine! The beans are flavored very well and taste fantastic paired with the rice. Lechon was good and so was the yuca frita.

Nothing to do with Cuban food, the reheated congrís and the prices, not to mention they steal your money, be careful with tips that without asking, they take them away very expensive, I do not recommend it for anything more than 200 Dollar in almost nothing very bad

Coming from Cali, I didn't think Austin would be expensive, but it is! I expected better from a cuban restaurant. Place is chill, service and food was decent with some cuban originals.probably won't come back though.

I absolutely love this place. I drive from San Antonio to Austin just to have the pork and rice here. The atmosphere is so nice and love just kicking back outside and enjoying my food. This is the first place that I go to visit if I am ever in Austin. The cooks and the owners really know what they are doing. I wish them many more years of success and great food.

Update:
Their food is still everything it was before. I had the ropa vieja, arroz con gandules and black beans. It was soooooo delicious. This is my favorite place in all of Austin.
