Half Price Books, San Antonio TX

Any place with books is going to be high on my go to list! Half Price books was clean, neat, friendly staff and a great and vast selection. Purchased two books and will be returning soon for more!

First of all you can never go wrong with a book second of all a used book can be just as good and valuable as a brand new book just looked through it carefully and make sure all the pages are there and they're not written all over plus a used book store you can get maybe some textbooks for college and save a few pennies

The store was very well organized and very clean. The employees were kind and helpful! I think it would be nice if the signs for the alphabetic order of the authors were larger, but otherwise it's perfect!

Read. Read all the books that schools want banned. Buy extra copies and share them with friends and people you care about. Read.

There's nothing like walking into a place full of books, music, movies, games, and knickknacks. I can get lost for hours scouring through everything. They have what I didn't expect to find, and that's the magic of the place.

I always find something worth taking home when I visit this particular Half Price Books, so I'd say it's probably my favorite one in the city. I love how spacious each aisle and area is. Even on a busier day like the weekend there's plenty of room to move around. Not only do they have an excellent selection of books, but they also have a bunch of journals, a small choice of new board games, used board games, blu-rays and video games, and lots of CDs and vinyl records. They also randomly have brand new items randomly throughout the store like various types of books, tarot, calendars, coloring books, etc. Everyone who works here is friendly and unobtrusive.

I love half price books so much the people are always so nice and i just love books so much. The clearance section has amazing deals

This half price books had a good array of stuff. They also had a ton of sealed board games. Some games that were kickstarter exclusives were there. If you are into board games, you should definitely come to this half price books.

I had come to this location to see what they had. As every location have different stuff all the time. There is an enormous number of books, cds, dvds, comics, records, collectibles, and more to choose from. The employees were friendly and nice. As well the store was clean too.

Nice place for used books. The store is super well organized, by category and by author. Prices seemed reasonable. They also had comics and dvds/cds/other media. They had some new stuff as well, like journals, planners, greeting cards (and maybe some books, I didn't really notice).

This place is awesome especially if you're looking for a great movie for movie night they've got blue ray they've got regular DVD they've also have a whole bunch of selections they'velection save by everything I love it from TV series to music music and When you walk in if you look underneath the C d's you'll see a row of dvds and those are gonna be your discount discount at DVD's which I'll usually get for like a movie night for a projector and it's only $3 to $2 a DVD and there's a lot of blu-ray in there too! There's a big area for you to sit down and read a book with your kids and it's a pretty big store it looks small on the outside but when you walk in it's pretty big big it's a good size store they've got games and I love it the people there are super nice super friendly I've never had a bad experience and I've been going there since before 15 years ago lol

Always has a big selection of physical media. If you wanna watch a movie come pick up the DVD here instead of digitally renting/streaming service! A decent selection of videogames too, and right next to a videogame store as well

Went to sell, got about $50 for three boxes of books. Which is pretty good I think, given their condition. Good selection and some hidden gems. The "rare" books seem really overpriced. Was a Warewolf: The Apocalypse book for $50. I had the exact same one they were going to pay $2 for. I kept it.

Seriously this place is the best! When we do movies nights they have great prices for movies! Don't forget to look on the shelves under the cds bc that's where their clearance movies are!

I enjoy coming here almost every week. I always find a new book or movie every time I come! Very well stocked and organized. Some items are a bit overpriced and the staff aren’t always the friendliest but I still consider this a nice location to visit.

Staff was a tad bit rude about closing but it was also my fault for getting there late. I'll go back see what a more appropriate rating is. The selection is you're average half price books place.

I absolutely love this place. You can find lots of varieties of books and even movies, records, comics, and a few video games. You have the variety of new or older books, movies games, etc. Its so nice. Ive found some old movies that i thought id never find. And some good books as well. Most of the time you can find the entire set of books. And the service is really nice as well. Absolutely amazing place. Go by yourself, bring friends, go on a date, and even bring children for fun with books. Thank you for your time.

Great book store with a very helpful staff. If you can't find something you can order it. They have games and toys for sale too!
