The spot. They will help diagnose and fix your bike and spend 5-10 minutes on it without charging you if it’s a simple fix. They put my breaks bake together and explained how best to do it. Super chill employees and I will only use this spot from now on.

I cannot recommend Ham Cycles enough! I brought my bike in on two occasions, the first when it was slipping gears and the second when the brakes needed repairs. Both occasions, they were very transparent with how the damage happens, what steps they take to repair, and a breakdown of the cost of the repairs, and my bike was like new after both times. Super knowledgeable, kind, and courteous staff. Very affordable prices and a quick turnaround as well. It's an excellent full service bike shop!

First time there went well with Joe, very helpful and knowledgeable. He said he'd order a bike and 9 days later he hadn't assembled it and was told to return the next day. Returned the next day to find Badger who knew nothing of this but promised to resolve it same day. I called several times (5) & someone answered each time and hangs up. I read this in the reviews. I'd say the place has potential but needs a more customer friendly approach.

Can't recommend the bike shop enough. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Thanks to Joe for all his help in shop today! Can't wait to take the new bike for a spin.

Isaac (sp) fixed my bike I’m no time. It was stuck. Wheels would not move (it felt and hit my garage sensors). I managed to get it to move but then it would not stop. Forever grateful.

Changed up their repair quote on a purchased bike to do a simple tighten up about the crank knocking if I buy a bike rack. Counter person said no charge to tighten it up and help out the sluggish ride if I buy the rack. Then after it was done the labor became almost $60.00 plus bike rack. Told him that wasn’t the agreement and he didn’t care, owner said someone else made that promise and he isn’t here. Wow shady two faced owner. Paid the labor cancelled buying a bike rack from this Houston HAM CYCLES dealer who has a big new shop to pay for. He doesn’t honor the quote made in person at the counter and then wants almost $60 more. I won’t be going back

Later owner lies and said I was rude and “Hot right off the jump” when I brought the bike in for repair. Totally false, the tech who made the offer was helpful and offered to help out the sluggish ride if I purchased the bike rack, I was not rude I said that will be great and didn’t receive a call from “multiple” people either. They pocket dialed me yesterday and were talking business while I’m saying… hello… hello and then I hung up.

Maybe I’ll just show up with a DO NOT BUY HERE protest sign since you want to lie about my character. Sure after they broke the deal made by the worker and after the unauthorized charges repair I was miffed. You think you don’t have to honor your in person counter quote now that you changed up what the agreement was. The rude part was when I realized they didn’t even check the tire pressure while charging me for a repair that wasn’t going to be a charge until after they did it. I had low air in both tires and knew that when I took it in. I said you could have at least checked the tire pressure after breaking your agreement and charging me almost $60.00 that wasn’t part of the deal made by the original counter helper who had later made himself unavailable. This isn’t over now that you want to be a liar. I didn’t mention the kick stand just fell off the bike a week after I paid almost $400.00 for the new clunker and a bike lock. This guy is obviously going for the gusto after moving into his newly constructed bike shop and probably has a fat rent or mortgage to pay in Montrose. I spent almost $500 at this shop and then the owner lies and changes up a repair request agreement to suit his high rent needs. I wonder if the counter guy who was trying to help out even still has a job with this owner who’s not to be trusted.

Been coming here for bike maintenence for a while now. Definitely a very trusted shop, no worries about random extra charges, or anything nefarious

Went yesterday to potentially buy a bike from them.
They ended being out of my budget but John was very knowledgeable and guide me to buy a bike from an other vendor.
Very friendly and eager to help.
If you need a new bike, some tune up, or any other bike related needs you should definitely go and check them out.
Amazing staff!

0/10 wouldn't recommend I brought my bike in to get my tubing fixed on my beach cruiser back in June June the 17th to be exact when they were on Dunlavy. Things started out good however soon went down hill. I was pressed for time needing my bike back by a certain time for a ride early the next day. They reassured me that it would be done way before then and they would call me when it was ready. I get it, stuff happens things may take longer. I called to get a status report the gentlemen said I was next up PERFECT, right? Time pasted no call from them and I called no one answered the phone. I literally waited to the last minute before I would have to leave for my event and make it back home to drop off my bike at home. I drove over not know if my bike was ready because no one is answering the phone. I feared that maybe my number was written down incorrectly. (it happens) I get there and there is my bike just sitting there all fixed. I politely/sarcastically ask, "She all done? " the guy at the counter says yeah for. Um Robin right? I say I called to check but no one answered the phone so I just drove over hoping she would be done. He chuckled and rang me up. I pay and leave. Not the worse experience right? I later find out on a night bike ride that whoever repaired my tire cut my LED lights. Why would you cut them and if that was preventing you from the repair give the customer a call and discuss further so they are aware but just don't damage my property. Those things are not CHEAP. I was so pleased that the tube repair didn't cost that much and was reasonable price when actually it ended up costing my $60. I appreciate them repairing my bike however I do no like the way they conduct business

John and Alex were very friendly answered a lot of my questions. So impressed by the customer service here.

This bike shop has so many options that are hard to find in other bike shops. Great place to buy a fixie single speed or Dutch bike. I was really impressed by the customer service and bike selection here. It's really refreshing to see bikes that are both beautiful and affordable- this shop is one of a kind.

Cannot recommend this shop enough. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. These folks are the real deal…they care about people and their bicycles and don’t hesitate to recommend an online shop or other bike shops if they don’t have something in stock. I wouldn’t go to any other shop in town! Got my bikes tuned up here and bought some hand wraps and a bike pump.

Super friendly and helpful service! I didn't end up buying anything because my budget was low (they didn't have used bikes or anything under $300) but they recommended 3 other locations to me and a bunch of tips about how I can find something in my budget. Great service!

Nice bike shop with friendly and supportive staff. There was a clicking noise in my bike for a long time even though I had changed the bottom bracket, chain ring, chain, rear derailleur, cassette etc. I brought the bike here and the guy took a look at it and had a test ride outside and recommended the bottom bracket may be damaged. They did not charge me anything even though I was willing to pay for it! I went home bought a new bottom bracket and installed it with torque wrench and cleaned all the bolts etc. The clicking noise is still there (probably need to get another expert opinion too) but it is MUCH MUCH LESS than before. I am really thankful of ham cycles for helping me with this at no cost. To honestly tell you about my whole experience with this bike shop I should say a few years back I asked them to change the chain and some other maintenance. However, during the ride I noticed there was grinding in jockey wheel, later, found out the inexperience apprentice had forgotten to pass the chain thoroughly through the jockey wheel cage. I took the bike to the shop and the owner apologized and immediately fixed it at no additional cost, this was just a mistake by new and inexperienced staff that may happen time to time. So no big deal. Overall I am supportive of this bike shop. They try their best to help you out.

We have recently bought two bicycles from this place, and the buying experience was absolutely pleasant and stress free. All staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. We were able to test drive the bikes we were interested in, and felt no pressure if we were undecided. All was great and ultimately came back to buy our daughter her bike! Shout out to Sharla for the awesome customer service and for having such a great vibe and being so amiable!

Horrible. Had my bike for 2 weeks. I called to check every few days. They said a few more days. I finally I call they say it will be ready at 2PM. Then they call back and say we don't have you tube size.
