We really enjoyed the stay, but the view from our room was not good at all, room rate was great, brks was great every morning, THE COST OF PARKING! OH BOY $60 PER NIGHT, extremely excessive in my opinion

This hotel is a great value in the middle of everything! We had a fantastic experience, walking almost everywhere we wanted to go. They even have a nice gym!

Upon arrival we did not have hot water and rather than changing our room we were told a mechanic would get to it. We then couldn’t shower before our dinner reservations. In addition they no longer clean the rooms daily which is extremely inconvenient and should be communicated more clearly. When we asked the front desk for housekeeping to be done we were told the best they could do at that point in the day is send up new towels. They sent one floor towel and one bath towel. Clearly if I’m asking for towels I’m out of them and would need more than that. I’m overall disappointed with the experience. The breakfast selections were edible but fairly disappointing. The fruits looked old and brown. Overall value to money was not worth it.

We had a horrible experience. After check-in my partner went to shower and while she was in the shower she noticed that there are no essentials in the bathroom and it was dirty. I called the front desk twice and no one showed up. Finally I went to front desk ask about the same and they blamed housekeeping for it and on top that they were so rude… Finally talked to manager over phone and requested to clean the bathroom and they did but again with every one I interacted in this regard they are all are thankless…

Front desk was welcoming at the time of check in and check out. My only problem was that I called before check in to ask if the rooms requested were available they said yes. (2 rooms booked 1- queen bed 2-king w/a river or pool view) neither one had a good view and they were both queen beds (our view was dirty and scary for the kids). Parking is a hassle, even if you go with VIP which is $50 per day or park at the garage across the street for $30. The rooms were clean and smelled good, outside it stank so bad there was even poop on the side walk gross!

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A ROOM WITH A BALCONY. My family was unexpectedly charged $1000 for a cracked balcony glass. At the time we reported the cracked glass to the front desk, the manager was unavailable, and they informed us that the service team was currently not on-site. They suggested boarding up the glass for our "safety, " despite our explanation that there was no safety concern as all occupants were adults and there were no children present. Additionally, the front desk employees speculated that someone walking along the riverwalk might have potentially thrown something that caused the glass to crack. (Also, the high temperatures could have been the cause for this cracked glass) To support our case, I also captured a video showing that the balcony glass consisted of two layers, with only the outer one being cracked, while the inner one remained intact. We noticed the damage after returning from dinner and immediately informed the front desk, who assured us it was not a problem. However, the charge was applied the day after our checkout without any prior notice or explanation. It is confusing to me, considering that the outdoor glass is covered by insurance. Manager was rude about this whole thing, horrible experience.

Great hotel, we had a balcony overlooking the river which was really nice. Parking costs $30 if you park your car yourself, It costs $50 for valet, they want you to think you have to use valet but you do not, right across from the hotel entrance is public parking.

When we first arrived our rooms were not ready we had to wait 1.5 hours. Our original check in time was 3 we got there at 2: 30 and got told it wouldn’t be ready until 4. Our room did not have a microwave and the towels were wet don’t know if they were used or just didn’t dry enough. The bottom of the door was sticking out so I had to make sure my kids didn’t trip or cut their foot on it
The pool is super small and during our stay it was very dirty and cloudy. No parking is available so be ready to pay $50 a night our car had a black scratch the second day we got it which let me know they probably hit another cars bumper because it was latex textured thankfully it came off and didn’t cause paint damage.
We also didn’t get to check out because the system was down.

The parking fee is $49.00 per night + Tax. A bit, A LOT overpriced. LAZ Parking Employees are very agressive if you park in front of the hotel for 2 minutes to pick up someone or drop off your grocery. Even if you are a guest at the hotel.
The front desk staff is far away from friendly town. Except one manager that works PM shift. She is serious but gets the job done.
The only plus at this location is that it has a NICE view to the river as well as a quick access to it.

During check-in, the guy at the front desk was rude and condescending. Just immediately.
This hotel is not really accessible. Parking is not on-site. You have to do valet, which means loading and unloading on the street, where there's cars around and not always enough room. The accessible rooms have big bumps in the door jam into the room. They can easily tip a wheelchair if you're not careful. They also have deep bathtubs + showers, while other rooms just have walk in showers. I realize bathtubs might be easier for some situations, but it was more difficult for us. ALSO, Riverwalk access is down lots of stairs. There is no ramp or elevator. We asked the front desk about an elevator, and we were told we should have stayed at the hotel next door. Have to say I agree.
The rooms were mostly fine, the beds were okay. My room had black mold in the bathroom along the ceiling, but the rest was nice enough.

Very disappointed of this hotel, Dishonest staff. I stayed in this hotel 7/29/2023 my room had a bad smell, the carpet was nasty, dirty there was roaches in the room. At check out time there was no manager or supervisor they over charged for another room that I NEVER REQUESTED definitely I don’t recommend people to stay in this “hotel”

It’s a shame that my family and I visit San Antonio once or twice a year and thought we had found our go-to place to stay at the Hampton Inn by the riverwalk. Until my family and I were accused and charged with an outrages damage fee that was justified ONLY by the general manager without any proof to back his assumption. Not only was this an unauthorized charge, as I was never made aware of the situation, but I never got a call from Hampton to explain the reasoning or how they came to this conclusion. My family and I were accused of damaging the glass patio railing, which is on the exterior of the building, out in the elements, and facing the river walk where hundreds of people walk by daily where anything can happen. The manager had zero sympathy and zero interest in what I had to say or to even look further into the issue when I reached out for an explanation. I asked him to review the security cameras to see if he could find the cause of the damage. None are in place. So, it’s his assumption and his word against mine with no evidence. I also expressed the possibility of how we have been in a high heat warning here in Texas all summer long, and how glass like this can go through heat stress and expand and cause spontaneous shattering. He didn’t care about it; instead laughed. They were very quick and wasted no time to charge this fee but never once was I asked about the safety of my family and if anyone was hurt during this occurrence. Hilton’s customer service was no help through this whole dilemma. They just reply with the same generic sympathetic message that they are sorry and wish they could do more. I will be deleting my Hilton Honors membership and using any hotel that’s not under the Hilton umbrella. Do business where you’re going to be respected and heard, and not accused of false accusations. The manager could’ve handled this situation a little differently, if only he were to be a bit more competent. This could’ve been a simple insurance claim for something unforeseen, but instead decided to charge it to an honest family that trusted the business they work for and will now be taking their business somewhere else.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton on the Riverwalk in San Antonio was disappointing and disgusting. We stayed for 3 nights and were miserable. The homeless were camped out across from our room and we could see their clothes, toilet paper, and feces all over. The inside of our room was beat up and dirty. The vanity handle was literally hanging off. Behind the bathroom door was filthy. The walls were paper thin, and we heard the neighbor's headboard banging against the wall above us. We heard dogs barking and children crying down the hall. We also could never get our television to work.

Disgusting water in pool, smelled bad all around the room, restroom, fridge, pool area. Breakfast was bad, bed was uncomfortable, pillows were hard.
