Hana’s Cafe and Market reviews
18Stopped in on a whim for lunch and so glad I did! Not only are they super friendly here with Fantastic food, but they also the elusive Huy Fong Sriracha HOT Chili Sauce here! Definitely grabbed a bottle of that!
The fried dumplings are some of the best I've had. They're worth the trip alone. Their General Tso's chicken is tender and flavorful with a little kick. It's nothing like the run of the mill crunchy "chicken" that some chain restaurants have. The owners are very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great find!
The broccoli beef is cooked perfectly and the flavor is fresh and on point. If you want fresh and flavorful Chinese food, you will love Hana's Cafe in Howe Tx.
Service was good the lady is really nice and gave me a great recommendation for the shrimp fried noodles and asked for very spicy and she delivered! Also had the Thai tea and it was delicious definitely worth the drive I made
Delicious food. Second time ordering from this place. The service is fast, the food is tasty, and the quality is consistent.
This place is always fantastic. It doesn't look like much on the outside but I'm not there for the atmosphere, which I also gave five stars because the great food is all the atmosphere I need. Hands down the best quick Chinese place around that won't break the bank. I love this place.
Small market (very small) and counter service restaurant. Ordered Orange Chicken and Beef Broccoli.
The Orange Chicken was the best. Large chunks of white chicken (not thighs) with generous chunks of pineapple, onion and bell peppers. I'd go back just for the Orange Chicken.
The Beef Broccoli was another story.bland and not much flavor. The broccoli and carrots were crisp and not over cooked but the beef was a bit chewy.
Would go back to try a few other things.
I got a take out order after a rough day, and the food was so good it turned it around. I plan to make this a regular food spot! It was great!
They were so rude. Showed where to sit, then ignored us. So, we left. There was only one other table there. Then, they should have said that we need to order at counter.
The food is always hot and delicious! Every time I go this food is always a 10/10. I’m pretty sure I could have the dumpling sauce with every meal!
We stumbled upon this little gem yesterday for lunch. We were both highly pleased with our meals - the beef and broccoli was tender and delicious. The shrimp fried rice was perfect. And the pork egg rolls, while smaller than expected, were still delicious. We will definitely be back!
Cozy place to have dinner, very friendly staff, and delicious food & Boba tea. I highly recommend it!
We feel so lucky to have such an amazing local Chinese food spot in town! The food is high quality and delicious, big portions at amazing prices.
I've always had a great experience here. The food is always hot and delicious, some of my favorites are the fried rice noodles, cheese rangoons, the spring rolls and the mapo tofu. To be honest everything I've tried has been spectacular. They have my favorite ramune and the boba milk tea is great!
This place is awesome. I’d give it six stars but cant. Its family owned and the food is COOKED FRESH
Please note the timing for most of the negative reviews on Google…like most service industry businesses and restaurants, this one suffered during the pandemic. However, both prior to and following the pandemic, the reviews are very positive.
Give Hana’s a try, and help keep a small business going! I doubt you’ll be disappointed, as you can see by my review:
Hot and sour soup was SO good, cannot wait to have it again! Egg rolls had a delicious filling, with a rice wrap and size that reminded me more of spring rolls, but they were good and piping hot…so, who cares?
The sides of fried rice looked dark, so I was initially a tad worried, but flavor was great - I did miss the ‘typical’ mix-in of egg and veggies. (Though that’s a good way to get rubbery eggs and overcooked peas and carrots, which was not a problem here!)
Sesame chicken was breaded and fried (didn’t expect that), which kept it steaming hot (just the way I like it!) and it was delicious with some sweetness mixed into the sauce. The beef and broccoli was perfectly cooked. Even the broccoli was still bright green and flavorful, also had a sweetness to the sauce.
Don’t think we’ve *ever* had meat this tender anywhere!
ONLY reason for my review not being five star is that I would like to see more purely savory meat dish choices, as I am very sensitive to sugar, and the underlying sweetness to both of our main courses would not be my first choice.
Small detail: the soy sauce on the tables is better than most restaurants (maybe because it isn’t slapped with the Kikkoman label like everywhere else?). If I didn’t know how labor and time intensive making soy sauce was, I just might wonder if they made their own. Whatever they use, it’s better and more flavorful than the norm.
Still, I can’t wait to go back! Want to try the pan fried noodles other reviewers have raved about, as well as the beef and noodle soup. The eminently fresh veggies, tender beef and delicious soup we had already should be amazing mixed together with noodles!
We weren’t there on a busy night, but service was fast and friendly without being intrusive. In-restaurant seating is very casual, with chunky wooden benches and tables Comfy enough for a meal, unless you require a back on your chair. Parking on the south side of the building takes you into a ‘back’ door - just keep walking through the next doorway, and you’ll be in the main part of the restaurant.
Enjoy!
I just bought the dumpling sauce today. Was delicious. I recommend getting this dumpling sauce. Homemade goodness.
