My workers comp insurance company took a while to get my information over to Dr. Henry’s office. However, once my information went through it has been smooth rolling. The staff is very helpful and positive. They answered all of my questions as this was my first time having a hand fracture. I had no doubt in my mind I was in good hands. My appointments were every 2-3 weeks and I had no issues scheduling an appointment based off my availability.

I had my finger get cut in a lawnmower incident and the minor emergency center I saw initially wanted me to come here. The HWC is gracious enough that they see emergency patients very quick so I was able to get in the next day. Dr. Henry and his staff were awesome and did an amazing job. They did debridement on my finger twice, were excellent with care, and gave very wise instructions to keep me healthy. I needed reconstructive surgery and the surgery went great. I’m surprised at how normal Dr. Henry made my finger look compared to how bad it was tore up. Dr. Henry was very kind and a great communicator with instructions. The healing process went great. Dr. Henry truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients and incredibly wise and skilled in his practice. My family and I are super appreciative and thankful for the care and hospitality that we received from Dr. Henry and his team.

I had a very bad kitchen accident where my main wrist flexor on my dominant hand was completely severed. I was referred to the hand wrist center of houston and Dr. Mark Henry. The very next day i was in surgery, he repaired the tendon and i was on my way. I am completely satisfied with my care in the acute stage of injury and was guided through my recovery with the follow-up visits. It's a long drive for me, but absolutely worth it for the quality care. Two thumbs way up for me.

Dr. Henry helped bring my passion back to life! I was diagnosed with a difficult wrist condition in 2021 (Kienbocks disease) and spent 6+ months researching to return as a fitness coach and professional fitness competitor. I had seen 4 surgeons before deciding to move forward with Dr. Henry. Kienbocks is a difficult disease to diagnose and treat and I have found through my experience with this disease, everyone you meet will have a different opinion. Dr. Henry was no non-sense and straight to the point which is exactly what I wanted/needed. I had done my research and agreed in order to persevere my career and passion, we had a short window of time to act with a MFT surgery.

Today, 8 months post op, I’m comfortable most days (opposed to sleepless nights in pain + lack of ability to bear any weight in my hand) and able to coach fitness once again at my full capacity with hopes of competing next year. Dr. Henry spent ample amounts of time with us during our first visit and went above and BEYOND when insurance felt my surgery “was not necessary” (a situation I hope no one else needs to experience). Post surgery he has been caring, informative and reassuring.

From someone who spends their life depending on the physical ability to help others understand movement patterns to improve their lives, I can confidently share Dr. Henry is the BEST in the business. I feel strongly no other surgeon I’ve met with could provide the result Dr. Henry has. Thank you for giving my life back!

Had an unfortunate accident that caused me to break 2 metacarpals in my hand, having to get surgery I was placed under the care of Dr. Henry. Over the past 2 1/2 months I’ve attended therapy and follow up appointments and I’ve been absolutely blessed to be a patient of this facility and one of Dr. Henry’s.

My experience with the Hand & Wrist Center was beyond abysmal.

Unfortunately for the staff of medical professionals who did an excellent job treating me and laying out my prognosis, the office and billing staff were so delinquent and ineffective at their jobs that it ended up causing major issues for me in the years since treatment.

I was originally treated in the fall of 2019 for a potential wrist fracture. I paid my copay at the time of the visit and received no word in the months following my appointment that any bills were outstanding. According to conversations with the current staff, the actual bill for my visit wasn't even generated until 2021 - nearly 2 years later - at which point I had relocated to a new address.

Despite my phone number, email address, and insurance information remaining identical throughout that period, I was never contacted once nor did I ever receive a paper or digital bill for what was owed. Instead, my bill was then turned over to a collection agency.

This agency ALSO did not have my proper address, nor did I receive any notifications via mail, email, or phone regarding any outstanding bills. It was only thanks to an alert from my credit card company where I was able to track down the collections agency and pay my bill. By the time I was able to do so, my credit score had been dropped by 80 POINTS in a matter of a few months.

When I attempted to contact the Hand & Wrist Center for assistance and to find out the itemized charges I owed - as I had never once received a bill - the only response they gave me was to contact the collections agency (who by law is unable to provide details on medical bills).

I will never again patronize such a poorly administered office - the customer support was laughable and the fact that they took nearly 2 years to even generate my bill in the first place is absurd. Despite the good medical service, I strongly warn all patients against using this group.

Visited for a metacarpal fracture, I don't recommend this clinic, first of all the payment is made in advance. The surgeon encouraged me to have an operation while it was not necessary. There was not any indications of the Desloges syndrome nor recommendations when they made the cast. Finally, they charged me an extra $30 without telling me, I had to go back to get a refund.

I called them and spoke with Mark about my broken pinky. I knew what I was asking as a uninsured patient so I wouldn't be surprised with a crazy price. Mark accused me of being a medical equipment salesman and not a patient. Mark and this office want you to be dumb so they don't have to tell you what they charge. They don't want you asking questions. Thanks mark.

Dr. Henry and his staff are awesome! I broke the radial neck of my elbow. At age 67 my body doesn't heal as quick or as easy as when I was younger. Dr. Henry is NOT a knife-happy surgeon, but is willing to work with you and your body, to do what is best for you! Because of his high level of skills and integrity, after 9 months, I'm completely healed with no surgery! But had I requested surgery at any point or if he had felt it was imperative, he would have done so. Dr. Henry and his staff are carrying, professional, and extremely competent! I thank GOD for each one of them!

The receptionist was rude during my attempt to schedule an appointment. I would never recommend this place based on that. I’ll just go to the Hand Surgery Specialist of Texas instead. Please make sure you hire the right people to do the job and above all else, PROFESSIONAL.

Awesome people that really demonstrate that they care about the patient. I hope I never have injuries that require their services again, but if I do I will absolutely come back. I highly recommend them to anyone with hand or wrist problems of any type.

Such an amazing place, had a pretty terrible injury to my hand, thumb, and wrist, thought it was never gonna be the same, but Dr. Henry and his staff were able to give me my hand back to nearly 100% of what it was. An absolute miracle!

I had a wonderful experience using the hand and wrist center of Houston. The staff here are friendly and efficient, and Dr. Henry is extremely knowledgeable and very good at explaining the process. I saw him for a dog bite that required multiple surgical debridements on my right/dominant hand. At the outset I did not have that much mobility in my right hand due to pain and the bandages but Dr. Henry encouraged me to do a set of hand exercises multiple times every day, and as a result I recovered from the hand surgeries very quickly and regained much of the mobility in my hand as soon as the bandages came off and the stitches came out. This alone made my journey through hand therapy much easier than it could have been and laid the groundwork for extremely quick recovery of full hand mobility, dexterity and strength.
Dr. Henry was very good at explaining what was wrong medically what needed to be done medically, presenting options so that I could make a choice, and then following through with the choice that I had made.
Dr. Henry worked made it clear that my active participation in my recovery would determine my outcome. I committed to that active effort and diligently did all my hand exercises as assigned.
Remember that having a great surgeon is only part of the equation. If you want a great result you have to do your part too!
