Hao Hao Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant, Round Rock TX

Our waiter was timely and attentive and I enjoyed the food more than I thought I would! We wanted the crab wontons originally and were brought the wonton soup by mistake. However, my man loved it so much he didn't send it back lol. I'm usually a bit nervous about strip mall restaurants but this place impressed me. Everything came out so hot and we'll definitely be coming back.

45min delivery took 2 HOURS; food was COLD and was missing sides. NEVER AGAIN!

when I called to track my order (after 1 hour). It was marked as ‘delivered’ and I was told it would be in here in 10…. Over 40 minute later and 2 more phone calls; it arrived cold and missing items. When I called to tell management… they offered $3 off next order!

Food was sweet, not spicy (really sweet) and service was …well non-existent.

My go-to place for Pho and Vietnamese vermicelli. It's predictably good food. The atmosphere is basic booths and tables nothing fancy. It's a neighborhood kind of place with a steady local clientele.

The chicken was okay, that was about it. The spring roll was easily the worst we've ever tried, the soup wasn't great, wasn't really worth it.

Don't overlook this review. Our community orders from different restaurants weekly so I've seen great service and bad. Hao Hao is an example of the very best. Their communication was amazing and their assistance in wrapping up our order and helping to my car was great. I waited until the residents ate and reported back. They loved the flavors and the amount of food was more than enough.

OK for last minute urgent Chinese. Some items might not even resemble to other US areas Chinese. If you are coming from NYC you will not be happy. Try them still. Some dishes are good.

I lived in the Houston area before moving to Round Rock area and they had a restaurant that sold awesome combination rice. I wanted to find a place out hear and I found it. The rice had chicken, beef and shrimp and came with 5 different level of spice. I went with level 3. Me and the family loved it so much that I came back the next day to get more. The staff were great and so kind.

Ordered online for pickup. Food was really good however they did totally mix up the order giving us beef instead of chicken for General Psos chicken and chicken fried rice instead of beef fried rice. We ate it anyway and again it was good and we will definitely go back but you should check your order before leaving if you put in an order for pickup

The food was tasty. We went based on a recommendation of a YouTuber who was staying at Kalahari Resort, so we followed suit. Our family favorite was Walnut Shrimp. To be honest, this restaurant is so old school with a menu that brings nostalgic feelings to anyone who grew up eating Asian food. I bet you'll find something you like!

With all the years that I lived in the area, I never tried too hard to visit Hao Hao restaurant until the pandemic happened. When most of the businesses were trying to figure out a way to keep their costumers during lockdown, Hao Hao was one of the few places that made the food pickup process extremely smooth and efficient. Needless to say, I found myself placing orders frequently after that. I like their fried rice, especially the Basil Chicken fried rice. I always order it with 2x or 3x spicy level and my family also enjoy other dishes like Spicy Tofu and General Tso's chicken. Their foods are tasty and the portions are generous for the price. Even though the place is open for dine in, we are still doing online ordering for no particular reason. However, I am sure that would change in the future.

Food is tasty, and price is reasonable for the portion size. I have tried the beef lo mein, prawn fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, general Tso chicken, and Szechuan chicken. The sweet and sour is a hong kong style and has the sauce on the side, which I prefer and the general tso chicken had the right amount of spicy. The Szechuan was a bit bland and had way too much onion and green capsicum and small chicken pieces. But everything else has been good. It’s a great little place with friendly staff.

I had the steak and brisket pho and was pleased with it. Good portion size, and good proportion of noodles, meat, and veggies. Basil, jalapeños, and sprouts served on the side were fresh.

Whenever I have a craving this is the place. Been ordering from here for years. 5 stars doesn't come close to how I love this place.

Literally my favorite place to eat. The sweet chili chicken is *chef’s kiss*. Can’t go wrong ordering here. And everyone is so friendly on top of the amazing food. I just can’t say enough to give this place justice. Just so good.

Omg, the food and service are terrific! We had the Hunan shrimp and and spicy lamb. Yum! Please stay open. It is hard lately to find good Chinese and Vietnamese food!

I’m not sure what has changed but this is the 3rd order in a row that is not up to their norm. My husband order was so tough it couldn’t be eaten.
