Happy Cow Bar and Grill reviews
16The Chicken Fried Steak sandwich was the best one I have ever had. I ate 1 there and got 1 to go. They are huge! They often times have a band outside.
Awesome venue! Awesome food (The Pizza and wings are)! Great drink prices! The entertainment is eclectic but always great. It's definitely the best kept secret in New Braunfels. The outdoor stage has a BIG feel production in a small and cosy casual vibe package.
This is a bar that serves food. The food is great, the portions huge, but it's a bar. Loud, smokers everywhere, you order with the bartender so if it's busy you need to be pushy and patient. Just be aware.
This place is great for ADULTS not children. Very laid back vibe. Just know that it's a bar before it's a grill. Food is good
Great place if your out riding or just looking for a cold beer and some grub. Awesome staff and food n cold beer.
There was no food. No food. We arrived starving and had to sit through the entire evening with nothing.
A towny bar that I felt out of place at due to not being a regular. There was a big outdoor area that I’m sure is very nice when in use
Great dive bar and grill. They didn't have liveusic on the night we visited but I could see this place really rocking.
We had burgers and fries which were thick and very flavorful. The toasted buns always make a burger a little bit better!
The crinkle cut fries and tater tots were super yummy also!
Definently plan to go back but probably wait until there's a band playing.
Maybe the best burger in Hays County. This is an old school road house. Long neck beers and ash trays are ok.
Live music and amazing made to your liking choice of food. Fully stocked bar inside and out along with friendly service. Owner and his team are welcoming and friendly.
Turned jukebox off when while we were playing music was told they turn it off everyday at the same time which is 6pm but people we know say that never happened to them before well I'm sure cause they wasn't black like we were, I'll never go back again, I lost my credit and bartender tried to say your song should still play, I'm a bartender just like you and your credits is lost
The Atmosphere was pretty good. Unfortunately a bunch of broken glass and beer bottles all out back. The food was ok but a little over priced in my opinion for the quality of food it was. The crawfish was ok but had no melted butter with it. That's just an abomination to not have butter with a big crawfish boil and much other flavor or seasoning to it. Staff was friendly and everything but if you're going there for any kind of food I would recommend going even to McDonald's before eating here honestly.
Ok Food, Outside Seating, and Live Music.
Every other week, they do a crawfish broil. They have outside picnic tables, a small stage for live music, and there is some green space. The big trees are great for shade. It's a very typical country dive bar setup with an expected selection of commercial beers.
The food was ok but a bit overpriced. Chicken fingers cost 9 bucks and were the kind you buy frozen and just heat up. Even the appetizers, like fried pickles, were 8 bucks or more. Sadly, the crawfish was also only ok and they didn't have any butter.
Everyone working there was nice but don't plan on the crawfish being ready till around 2pm (they told us 1pm originally).
It's also not a great place to bring the kids, which makes sense because it primarily functions as a bar. Although there is green space to run around in, there's a lot of broken glass, a barb wire fence, and a lot of brush so it's not really safe for younger kids.
Overall, it's a decent place for a bite but I don't think we will go back anytime soon.
I see all these good reviews wanted to try a burger right before work they don't even have a cook there
Just to be clear my bad review was because they just stopped selling food because they weren't prepared with a backup cook, sorry to hear about the cooks current situation I understand stuff happens but still my bad review wasn't towards the cook
Will had my happy drink zienbach that I love so much. Plus when the train pass by shots 2drink cool.
