Harbor Ministries Thrift Store reviews
11I always find great deals here even though some people that are run through here from time to time are mean.
I haven't been able to really check the whole store out yet. Been in a rush both visits. I did get a chance to use the dressing rooms and they could have been cleaned up a little. The one I was in had broken glass on the floor from the mirror. The had a great selection of used boots and clothes from what I looked through. Will be returning
A good place to look for that special something, and a ministry and mission that provides integration.
Scheduled donation pickup online. Website said that we would receive a phone call up to 48 hours in advance of pickup day, did not receive call at all. Tried calling donation pickup line several times the day before, no one ever picked up and the voicemail box was full so we couldn't even leave a message. Take your donations elsewhere.
Very satisfied! Bought 2 floor lamps that looked brand new for a real low price. Very, very nice manager, employee who gave me very good service. Was even walked to my car and put items in car for me. The furniture all looked very new & the prices were very low. I lost everything in Hurricane Harvey and l believe l will do all of my shopping at this place. Instead of 5 stars, l give this place a 10 star rating.
The prices seem high at first but a lot of their merchandise is 50% off the employees are very polite the place is a good size. It has a kinda hidden furniture section in the back
Old man is rude and barely wants to give people senior citizen discounts. Used to be mine and my mom’s go-to places but prices increased dramatically! A regular brown shirt $10? Save your money and go to Ross.
This is an amazing store.been going here for two years.best deals in town, and one can always walk in and find SOMETHING on sale! FIVE STARS!
Donate please! Especially if you have any children's clothing to donate please they help people that are from drugs abuse and alcohol abuse to get back on their feet again and make a change especially when they're trying to get a job
I set up time for them pick up my used furniture and kitchenware. I actually set an appointment online with another charity to pickup and they never showed or followed up. So definitely go with harbor ministry! They were the best. They called me the week prior, the day before and 20 minutes before arrival to confirm appointment pick up. Also easy to reach them by phone if i had a question. Every person a spoke to was welcoming, kind and eager to help. They took all my gently used furniture except a few where my puppy chewed on the furniture. They were patient, detailed, organized, friendly and quick in loading up. I will use them again.
The store is not "huge", and the clothing does take patience to look through. Only downside is I do find items damaged/stained with stains that very clearly won't come out, so you have to deal with that possibility, but sometimes, you can find some GREAT stuff. I have found some very EXPENSIVE designer brand items in there, undamaged.
Just be patient.
All the men know me and my father by now, we go almost every Tuesday, when the clothing is discounted to 50% off.
I wish the shoes were included in that discount.but, I understand it lol.
