Harker Heights Drop off Center and Recycling Facility reviews
5What a kind and lovely attendant. It was easy, he was helpful, and as someone with anxiety, it was not over complicated or intimidating. As a woman alone, I was treated with respect and helped appropriately. 10/10
Unfair to Harker Heights residents that you don't allow individuals in the local Harker Heights mobile home parks to utilize the services like the standard residential residents do. Was told it's due to a $1 fee that regular residential HH residents get charged but residents in the local mobile home parks don't pay that fee so we do not get to use the landfill at this location. Mobile home park residents are not allowed as of Summer 2023 to use this landfill and have to pay to dump elsewhere within the county. Was informed that they consider the mobile home parks as commercial property, leaving an inconvenience to those who live in a local mobile home park & the park's managers don't allow you to even leave bulk items out or in the large commercial dumpster they have on site for their use only. Most ridiculous policy yet! Nathan needs to retire already!
I use this place all the time! It is great that the city provides a place to get rid of your bulk trash and yard waste. It is made so easy I don't understand why people are dumping their old furniture and junk on the side of the road or at the clothing bins? At times it can be a little muddy or dirty due to the weather, or just the fact that it's a dump. Nevertheless its a breeze, pull in, directed where to go by the attendant, toss your trash and go. Too simple and no dumping fines.
Love this place, it is so easy, and the employees go above and beyond to help you.
To quote another reviewer, this place really is a dump, LOL. It is nice to have a place to take bulk trash. Maybe in the future, the city cover the dirt with concrete.
