Laura and Deshawn have been wonderful during our stay. Although I’ve been difficult they have both handled the situation with respect and helped resolve the issue.
Facility is always clean, community is friendly, and they offer several activities for the complex like movie night by the pool, food trucks, and several other activities. Maintenance always does a great job and shows up in a timely manner.

Takes forever for the office to get back with you. IF you can even reach them in the first place. Not as “luxury”as they’d like you to believe.

You can definitely find somewhere cheaper and more luxurious if you keep looking!

I'm a current tenant here. Apartment was not at all (pristine) moving in conditions. It is far from luxury living the pool does not work, Animal waste is regularly left on sidewalks and in the grass. There is not adequate parking for tenants and what they do have are so small and close together you can't open your doors properly to get out of your vehicle.

AVOID THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX.

The pool has been under repairs for all of August and what will most likely also be September. Repairs are understandable, however, the apartment board spent approximately three weeks gathering quotes from contractors for the work rather than showing all of the tenants the courtesy of getting it done as soon as possible during the hottest months of the year. Most of the tenants agree that this is an essential amenity for use in the summer, and the presence of the pool was a vital aspect for many of us when choosing this apartment complex. Not having access for the duration of two months is a complete breach of contract as the services we are paying for and signed up for are not being provided. The right thing to do, at a bear minimum, would be for the company to provide some type of compensation in the form of rent deductions since an essential amenity we are paying for is not being provided, however, Harper's Retreat has not done this for the two months the pool has been unusable (also the gym hours have been cut short while it is under repair). This shows a complete disregard for all of Harper's Retreat's tenants, and speaks volumes about them as a company.

There are tons of apartment complexes in the Conroe/Spring/Woodlands area; pick one that actually cares about its clients!

I would consider removing this review if Harper's Retreat decides to do the right thing and provide rent deductions (August and September) for this loss of an essential amenity, but until that happens this review will stay as potential newcomers deserve to be warned about the companies questionable integrity.

This place is fine i guess but the parking situation is absolutely atrocious. The parking spots are very narrow and everytime i get out of my car it’s like crawling out of a hole. Additionally there are not enough spots as frequently i need to park in the front of the apartment although my apartment is in the back. Stinks at the end of a long day to walk a quarter mile with hands full of bags
The reason is they have covered spots that take up a lot of spaces.

I would highly recommend these apartments! I moved here for my first apartment & i absolutely loved it. While moving out on my own I was already nervous enough, but the staff made the transition very simple & were very nice throughout the whole process.

The area is safe and the complex is beautiful. I would walk my dog late at night and felt completely safe. The neighbors are great and quiet. The manager (Laura) is amazing & her staff is just as great, they are able to satisfy every request & in a timely manner. The amenities are wonderful & always kept so clean! I love how the Staff stays connected with the community by always hosting events! The prices are wonderful, apartments are clean, parking is not too bad. The apartment also came with a wash/dryer which was a great feature, so convenient rather than having to buy one. If these apartments were located in my home town, I would forsure be staying!

Trust me you will NOT be disappointed with moving here. Thank you Harper’s retreat for a great experience!

One star is too much if I can give this fraud company zero stars I would. They kept my 250 refundable deposit when I decided to cancel my application. DO NOT APPLY HERE you will be sorry they don’t answer the phone and their customer service is the worst.

I lived here for 15 months. Office is hard to get ahold of via phone, constantly got routed to an external number where they couldn’t help me and I would have to resort to either voicemail or email which would take a while to get a response from. Even walking to the office it was hit or miss whether someone would be available that could help. Grounds are nice enough but the amenities are only so so. They advertise a “clubhouse” but it’s only available during business hours which sucked. Entrance is terrible. Watch for the traffic from the suburbs behind coming around at high speeds and visibility when you are turning in or out is hard. Not to mention the actual road Harper’s Way turning right into a merging lane to get on 242. If you utilize uber/lyft/doordash/ubereats or anything like that be prepared for them to miss your road. Maintenance was always speedy. Don’t do anything to decorate your home though because you’ll end up paying for it. They’ll charge you 180 to repaint a 1 bedroom apartment even though if they hadn’t used cheap paint to begin with it wouldn’t have required it. Lots of the finishes appeared nice at first but once I started living in the apartment I realized how cheap it was and considering the price I don’t think it was fully worth it. I also had a problem where they made me take down some lights I’d hung on my balcony railing but they didn’t make other residents take any down. Not sure what that was about as they were just simple twinkle lights that I put up so that I wouldn’t have to have the patio light in attracting bugs when I wanted to sit outside. Overall I didn’t have a problem living here but I definitely think if you’re going to spend 1100-1200 on rent you can find a WAY better place for your buck.

Love my apartment! Ariel was extremely helpful the entire time! I had viewed them online before but after walking through everything with her i felt much more comfortable with my decision.she took the time to help me figure out if it was something i could maintain or not money wise, answered every question even if it was something i should've know as a renter and not only was genuine during the process but has remained very caring toward me even after i signed the contract. (which ive notice leasing agents are sweet until you sign the lease and then all the sudden you dont matter) If youre going to check these apartments out, i would highly recommend requesting an apt with ariel before you go!

I toured the Harpers retreat apartments and was assisted by Aerelle, a SUPER leasing agent! She’s professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I could tell the property is well managed and well maintained by Aerelle’s enthusiasm and attention to detail. If I choose the harpers retreat it will be in large part due to Aerelle’s willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to provide great customer service.

I've lived here for 8 months now and have never had a negative experience living here! My apartment is really nice and the grounds are always kept clean. Anytime I need something at the leasing office, Aerelle is always quick to answer my questions and help me. Highly recommend living here:)

I have lived at Harper’s Retreat for about a year and a half now. The new management has surpassed the old, hand downs. Aerelle has been AMAZING! I prefer to deal with her over anyone else, however they are all helpful and attentive. They do their best to keep this property spotless and I appreciate that.

Have been living here for almost a year and absolutely love it. The apartments are modern, well kept, and clean. The staff is amazing and very helpful! I live my quiet and friendly neighbors. Highly recommend!

I have lived at Harper’s Retreat for over a year now. I love living in this community! The front office staff is responsive to needs and is always helpful and understanding. The community is kept clean and neat and maintenance requests are always completed promptly. I haven’t had any issues with Harper’s Retreat, and I look forward to continuing to live here!

We have lived here since November of 2017 and we absolutely love it! The grounds are wells kept and the facilities are in great condition. The pool is super clean and relaxing. Also, the staff is very helpful and nice. If you have an issue with rent or maintenance, they will immediately take care of it. The management team also hosts residents events like BINGO! We love attending these events and can't wait for more!

The staff is great! They were personable and worked hard to get me approved so that I could move in quickly. Thankfully I was able to get my apartment sooner than I expected & I received a nice housewarming gift, a bottle of wine:)

Simply put, this place is great! I’ve lived here a couple months so far and have really enjoyed it. The management staff is nice and helpful, and my apartment feels like home. Plus, the property is constantly hosting resident events like bingo and food trucks which has been a life saver more than once after a long day.

It was wonderful. I came 3 times and the service was the same. I also requested things they did not have. Super helpful. This was actually an apartment I was not scheduled to go to, it was the one down the street but the service there was not at all good. They included me on the decisions made to my apartment. I went to 6 apartments and glad i found this one.
