Hartz Chicken Buffet, Sealy TX

When I first moved to Sealy over 15 years ago, this place was top-knotch for great fried chicken- and pretty much the only such diner in town. Over the years, it has gone downhill. In November 2022, I went there to give it another try and found it had been closed (for the 2nd time that I know of) by the health department. I returned in January 2023 for 2 meals and found the chicken quality had actually improved quite a bit.

This place is terrible. Never has the chicken you want. I waited for 20 minutes in line and to pull up and was told they are out of chicken. This happens all the time. So I went to Chicken express. Way better!

We stopped at hartz chicken in sealy today, 3 of us, price for buffet was 42$ outrageous buffet price and the food was trash, bland veggies, lame desserts, they wouldn't put any good cuts of chicken out, thies n backs, legs, etc, service was poor and I had to ask them to put some chicken out, hartz chicken didn't even taste right!

Every time left speechless because of the food coma. So good it’ll drive you crazy, or it might make you sane again! Got to try it once every week at least. Comfort food like a throw on fuzzy blanket. ️‍ my heart wouldn’t be the same without “HARTZ”

The meal was affordable and delicious. I ate oven baked chicken, fish strips, corn, green beans, potato & gravy.

It is always really good! Their chicken and sides are very good! Fresh and not greasy! Givecthem a try, definitely a recommend!

They had no chicken tenders and no hot wings or fish.they rarely filled the buffet.never will go there again.

The chicken experts. From baked to fired to gizzards and livers. Every item is top-notch. Look forward to going there and seeing the same friendly faces.

Hartz Chicken in Sealy Tx is the absolute best! Both the baked and fried are my favorite. I got okra as a side and I dare not leave without that good ol hot sauce! It's not like all of the others. The chicken is seasoned very well and goes great with their fluffy rolls and a cold drink. I make my 30 minute trip there as often as I can.

Unfortunately we didn't get to eat Hartz as it was already closed. BUT a big shout out to management for the signs on their drive thru. "We're short staffed. Be kind to those who showed up". Love it! We live in a world were some people feel entitled and think it's ok to treat others like garbage. Kudos to them for setting boundaries

Good food and good customer service. I only had okra and chicken tender, but my family devoured their meals. I will definitely return for the fish next time.

The Sealy location is the only one I go to because it is that good. You might have to wait for the wings, they run out quick. But it's worth the wait. Try the 3 wing special. You won't be sorry!

I witnessed employes holding each other responsible for a higher quality product. Fresh food and healthy choices.

As of this writing right now, the young lady serving customers is extremely rude. She has a poor attitude, closed the window on my son without giving him my drink, no condiments, no napkins, nothing. When he asked for my drink, she said, "my bad! "

Never been in the hearts it was super clean food is good and it's cheap enough price for a lunch during the week

Worst drive thru. Save your money. Waited almost 20 minutes in line to be parked and told they are still cooking the chicken. After 30 mins still sitting here. Refund time.

As much as I like Hartz, this location is not doing so well. Food on the buffet table been sitting all day looking half dried out. When I walked in there was a young lady moping the floor which is a good thing but no visible wet floor signs. I politely pulled her to the side and informed her that for her safety of her job and the company to do so. This same young lady for the hour that I sat inside trying to enjoy my meal she is on a personal phone call speaking about relationships and other things. Just not professional in any work place.

My wife and I love Hartz so when we pass through this town and haven't had any lunch and it was late and we still had another 90 miles to travel to Austin so she wanted to stop there wife asked for wing deal and I asked for corn mash potatoes and 2 rolls and a large ice tea and 2 jalapeños. So this is what service I got wing deal, 1 roll, corn and mash so after 20 minutes after ordering finally got to window she she damages my cup lid then I asked for my 2 rolls and the wife's jalapeños no plastic ware so she grabs my fork with her hands with eating side straight up in the air I did not want this for or any other fork so she says that I didn't hear you order jalapeños or 2 rolls meanwhile they're playing and laughing simultaneously in the area will not visit that place again.
