Hawthorne at Blanco Riverwalk, San Marcos TX

The residents here are really friendly, the surrounding areas of this community have lots of trees and even has a little pond behind the property, even has a playground and two swimming pools and a pool table are that is open 24/7 as long as you have a key to get in. Everyone even has their own patio unlike other places out there. Would highly recommend living here.

My husband and I absolutely adore the staff! All of our concerns were heard and quickly attended to. Shoutout to Brynn in the office! We have lived in several places and no maintenance staff or office staff has even compared to Hawthorne. I highly encourage making this yall's home!

I've loved living at this apartment complex. Everyone here is so kind and accommodating. There are always fun parties hosted in the leasing office and free catering. The amenities are also wonderful. The gym is a body builder's dream, and the two doggy parks on the property are convenient and perfect for my puppy. We have never had a problem here, and love life at the Hawthorne!

I have been an employee at Hawthorne at Blanco Riverwalk for around 7 months now and it is a spectacular place to live and work. The maintenance team is awesome and super quick to respond, and the residents are super friendly and it's great to always have a helpful neighbor or two around!

We lived here for 2+years from 2021-2023. We were the first to occupy our unit so everything was brand new. Robert and his maintenance staff were always excellent. There was significant turnover with the office staff but they were always professional and helpful throughout the duration. Same for the managers. The amenities as a whole are the best I've seen at that price point, and the gym in particular was the standout for me. It was so good that I cancelled my commercial gym membership, and I'm picky when it comes to gyms. I will say that the quality of neighbors took a nosedive toward the end of my lease, so take that for what you will. Overall, I loved my time at Hawthorne, and if I could relocate it with me, I'd still be there.

I came in here looking for an apartment after my first year of college. Sylvia was so nice and professional. I have now been here about 6 months and I'm glad I made the choice I did. I would definitely recommend coming to Sylvia for your apartment needs.

We lived here previously and decided to move back because of the reasonable pricing. It has been nothing but overwhelming. Our dryer didn’t work for the first month of living here. The parking situation is absolutely awful, and the front gate has been opened everyday since we moved in (the last time we lived here our car was broken into for the same reason). They tow your car for ridiculous reasons and you have to have a guest parking permit anytime someone comes over and wants to stay past 9, so no last minute get togethers. If you want a parking spot anywhere near your building you need to get home before 8. I work nights sometimes and have to park on the complete opposite side of the complex and walk in the dark all the way to my building, same when I leave at 6am. Sometimes I even have to park outside the complex. Because people are always fighting over parking spots I’ve almost been ran over from someone flying through the parking lot trying to get a spot. They don’t do the dog DNA testing so there is dog poop everywhere.

If your neighbor smokes then your apartment will smell like it as well. Our neighbors smoke weed and it makes both of our bathrooms smell like it. I never had this issue at our previous apartment and our neighbors definitely smoked weed there too.

Maintenance is terrible, office staff horrible, decent location but now that the river is dried but not so much. But they are going all they can top fill it back up using their irrigation system.

My daughter is moving to San Marcos and we came to look at apartments. Sylvia was so friendly, helpful, and professional.

This is such a great apartment complex. They have everything-a dog wash place, 2 pools, a gym, a fabulous office with a coffee station and everyone is really friendly. Also the maintenance team is top notch. Robert and Elvin are great at fixing things and are very friendly as well.

Please listen. When your tour: tour the second floor. Stomp your foot on the ground. Bang your hand on the wall. Trust me. Listen to how thin and hollow and cheap these apartments are. Worst place I've ever lived.

A worker named Robert offered to clean up my coffee spill in the lounge and was very sweet about it! Great place!

I have lived at Hawthorne for 3 years now and not once have we had any issues where maintenance couldn't fix same day. Those guys (Robert and Elvin) are always quick and helpful. Our A/C went down and same day they fixed it. Sylvia in the front office is so helpful takes residents concerns seriously. The apartments have clean amenities are always working. Id definitely recommend this location for anyone who is interested

We came in to get a tour and were immediately greeted by the wonderful assistant manager, Brynn. Brynn was so warm and inviting and you could tell she loved her job and living there. The property is gorgeous and has very high end finishes. There is a massive dog park and the pool is amazing, as well as the gym and a beautiful clubhouse!
