Heaton Eye Associates, Tyler TX

I had a great experience at Heaton eye associates. I had lasik done in one eye and PRK in the other. I have mono vision. My vision has improved significantly and continues since my surgery three months ago. The staff is very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend

I am so happy with the results of my lasik. My vision was better than 20/20 the morning after my procedure. I have never seen this well in my life. Dr. Heaton adressed all of my concerns realistically, and was honest with me about potential outcomes.
He prayed over me before my surgery and was reassuring the entire time.

On time and well organized. Very professional staff that truly care for the welfare of the patients. I have the highest regard for Dr Nickel.

As always, services were great. Personal are well trained. Dr Nickel is a wonderful doctor.

However, this last visit I waited for forty five minutes before seen. As with most people, I have as busy a day as this practice. All I ask is mutual respect. Thank you. Joyce Price

Sweetest people! Doctors are very thorough and spend plenty of time with the patient. Be careful at checkout though.for some reason they always try to charge me and I have to remind them my exams are 100% covered by insurance. The staff is great all-around. The office always looks crazy busy but they are well organized.

Awesome visit. They ran perfectly on time, gave me the attention that I needed, and answered my questions. Dr. Heston is very nice and professional. I recommend this practice!

Loved this whole experience with the HeAton Eye Associates! They make you feel so comfortarble and right at home. My PRK Laser Surgey was a success! Loved how Dr. Heaton explains once again the procedures before the surgery and makes a small prayer. I highly recommend them 100%.

I just had Dr. Heaton do Lasik on both eyes on 3/22/19 today is 3/26/19 and i can't tell i ever had the surgery. Besides seeing way better! Awesome team, very friendly, answered all the questions i had and worked around my schedule. I would highly recommend Heaton eye associates for Lasik.

We reccomreded this office to several other friends. All of us enjoy the effeciency of the staff. The Drs.are very very good. My best friend had eye surgery and it went perfect. My Dr. (Dossey) is very kind and honest about what I need to do for my situation. They are real people with excellent skills in this office. The optical shop is the same. Thanks Heaton I say.

Absolutely wonderful experience every time I visit Heaton Eye Associates. They are a well run organization: Welcoming staff, well informed, listen intently to their customers, very accommodating, desire your visit to be a wonderful experience, willing to help you in every way possible, do everything they can to streamline your stay so time is not wasted, and make you feel as if you are the only one they are there to serve that day.

I would highly recommend you visit one of their offices and get the absolute best eye care hands down.

Nice doc that took care of me even though I go to a smaller house OD. The Athens office makes you think it’s about the money at first but it’s actually about the quality. They even said it was Ok to go back to my usual OD - literally said they didn’t want to steal business. Now that’s ethics in action.

The staff is wonderful, kind, caring, knowledgeable and always smiling.
The only thing I was a little out out about, is they tell you 45 min to an hour, hour & half max, each time I was there for 3 hours each time. They are just so popular they do run behind schedule from time to time, ha mainly whennits my time.
But all in all they are truely a fabulous organization.

Dr. Nickel is an exceptionally wise, caring, dedicated eye doctor and surgeon. He is attentive and listens carefully, makes well thought out plans for eye health and respects me as part of the team. A finer doctor you cannot find. I HIGHLY recommend and trust him. The staff is warm and welcoming. I felt they greeted and treated me with respect and knowlege. I am truly happy with the care I receive at Heaton Eye.

My special needs client sees Dr. Dossey. The Dr.is always very patient with him and is knowledgeable in what care needs are appropriate. All of the staff are professional yet friendly

LOVED my experience with Heaton Eye Associates! The entire staff is top notch. I had Lasik done, and had 4 appointments from first visit to day after check and was impressed with every bit of the experience except timing. Which I have found is pretty much the case at all medical facilities in East Texas. However it is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. My 2 hr appointment the day before the surgery they were running 30-45 minutes behind. They did tell me, but with my surgery scheduled there wasn’t time for a reschedule and it left me missing other appointments elsewhere. The day of my surgery everyone was SO SWEET and so excited for me. The entire experience was exactly what you would hope, except once again the timing. Dr Nickles was AMAZING and came and explained the entire process start to finish so I was prepared for each step, Jennifer his nurse was great and made me extremely comfortable. My appointment was for 2: 15 check and 2: 30 surgery and told I to be ready to leave anytime between 3-4. I had my check at 2: 30 and wasn’t taken back to the surgery waiting area until after 3. My ride came and was waiting until 4: 15 but my surgery didn’t start until 4: 20 and by that time she needed to run our kids across town for 4: 30 swim team. The surgery was 10 min and by 4: 30 I was waiting but my ride couldn’t get back to me until 4: 45. On the 20 min ride home the numbing started to wear off and I was pretty uncomfortable and it took longer to fall asleep than I think it would have had I been able to go home and sleep immediately as they suggest. I recommend that you prepare to be there longer than you anticipate every time. But know you will have an amazing experience, especially if you know beforehand that to anticipate delays. My eyes were great the day after and I’m AMAZED and wish I had done the surgery 10 years ago. It’s life changing and I would recommend Heaton Eye to EVERYONE I know.

I appreciate Dr. Heaton's eye examination which enabled me to update my prescription. The workers are friendly and helpful and the examination itself was not anything like going to the Dentist.

Very professional and caring staff. Quick and efficient. As soon as I walked through the door I was instantly greeted with a "good morning, how can we help you today? ". Customer service now days seems like a lost art so I was extremely pleased with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Cynthia did a great job with my initial lasik exam. Followed by Carla patiently answering any questions I had. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and informative.

From the first minute that you walk in the building you are greeted by friendly staff. ALL the doctors to nurses an all the staff are top notch. Probably the most professional ran an staffed facility that I have ever been to. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I would greatly recommend this place to anyone who needs glasses or lasik surgery. The most enjoyable encounter I have ever had at a optometrist office ever.
