Our favorite dish is the twice baked potato chicken, there is nothing NOT to love about this dish. Hot, flavorful with crisp chicken skin and delicious twice baked potato stuffed inside, and a generous potion too. While the twice baked potato is our favorite, the crawfished stuffed chicken is good to.

This place is a hidden gem! They have fresh, ready to order Cajun/ Creole food served at generous portions and at a reasonable price. The only place in Houston I know has boudin! The establishment is clean, the staff is friendly and I could tell it was a family owned business. I will be coming back again!

I've been to this location twice! It is absolutely Delicious! You can dine in and shop at the same time. They have a good hot plate menu made fresh daily and it is Amazing! Today I tried the stuffed shrimp and rice deboned chicken, with crawfish etoufe on the side and a side of green beans and 2 boudan eggrolls. The best dish ever! If you have not tried this location, you definitely need to check it out! 5 stars all the way!

Delicious! The stuffed deboned chickens are our go to for special occasions and sometimes just because. Our favorites are the shrimp stuffed and boudin stuffed ones. Very friendly and courteous service.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Super fresh cut ribeye and fillet. No more grocery store meat for me. Service was excellent and I look forward to heating up the shrimp fettuccine.
This store has so much to offer, it will take an entire year to try it all.

I usually love your food but yesterday i got the boudin and it was the worst i have ever had in my life.it was soggy the insides you could not tell what it was there was no consitancy or anything that looked like rice in it.the skin was so soft you could not cut it.believe me when i tell you i will never eat your boudin again.

Giving it four stars on presentation. Plenty options of meat and sides dishes. The taste will determine that last star! Although I realize cooking is on me.we'll see!

Update: Oh man! That stuffed turkey was on point great seasoning and broccoli cheese casserole was fire! Star granted.

They have a lot of speciality meats that you don't fine in the regular grocery store. They have stuff quails which are hard to find most places have quails, but not stuff with pork.

Don't worry if you come hungry while you shop. Enjoy some specialty samples with lunch specials and po-boys! Sha!

Had the BEST Po Boy sandwich I have ever eaten. The catfish was fresh, not frozen. The bread for the sandwich was also fresh, just simply amazing. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other food.

The chicken stuffed with cornbread stuffing is AWESOME! So moist! Spicy and delicious. The Boudin balls are good too.

Nice people and tasty meats

Turducken for Thanksgiving is a must! It comes with cooking instructions and it tastes so good.the meat stays moist too. We also bought some gator sausage and crawfish sausage.both tasty.staff is efficient and friendly

I have been ordering the Turducken from Herbert's for the last 4 years. It has become a family favorite for Thanksgiving! Unfortunately, the quality was poor this year. It was not layered like years past. Turkey at one end, chicken and duck at the other end. Stuffing was not layered between the different meats. I tried calling (on hold for 10 minutes for a manager-gave up) and emailing. Crickets. I have pictures of previous years that do not resemble the one we got this year (pictured). Disappointed. Its just like back home in Lafayette Rayne a place we can go and get the real food I grew up with.

The food here is amazing. It’s the customer service that lacks. The big white guy behind the counter is not helpful. I purchased a stuffed duck before I left the store I notice it wasn’t the kind I wanted- I politely asked for a trade and his remarks “y’all are killing me”. No professionalism. I’m from a small town near Maurice, Louisiana the original place for Hebert’s and their customer service is exceptional. When you’re in a city this large, they don’t care about you. The store was filled with people and his remarks were very embarrassing. I’ll drive to Louisiana or the woodlands before I ever spend another dime there.

My in-laws were going to Heberts in Louisiana since the 70’s so I was lucky to have been able to eat those chickens for many years. They went to heberts each year and stocked an ice chest full of their specialty items at least 40 chickens at a time and I was married to an only child so I got all the special things. I just had a chicken for supper last night and ohh so delish crawfish stuffed with rice our favorite!

I absolutely love this place Me being from Louisiana this is the place to go the best stuffed Deboned chickens, stuffed pork chops you will fall in love Don't go there thinking you're going to spend a certain amount of money you will go over but it's worth every penny ️
