I wrote a review two years ago so couldn’t write another under my account so using my daughters. I have been coming here for ten years ever since my son was born.
First off I love this doctor duo. They are a mom and daughter team and have a very good reputation in their field. HOWEVER none of that matters when u can barely get in to be seen.i guess since i’ve been coming they have acquired a lot more new patients which in turn makes it even harder to get seen. Almost literally every time I call and try to get a same day appointment i never can.so unless u have a crystal ball and can foresee when your child will be sick i would suggest going somewhere else.it really sucks that after all this time i will likely be looking for another doctor that better fits in with a working moms schedule.

Dr. Thakkar is one of the most amazing doctors,
I've known, she took great care of my kids.
And my son's kids, now she is taking care of my daughter's kids. We all think she is wonderful.
She a very good doctor and I will highly recommend her.

Appointment was at 930 and turn around time 2 hours later I’m still waiting to see a doctor.

Doctor Thakkar had called me with results to my sons bloodwork. After we discussed the results I asked her since we’re on the phone could you refill my daughters script she had wrote a couple years back for constipation. She rudely said this is about Wyatt not your daughter? ! I was speechless at first then told her well since we’re on the phone and it’s just prescription laxative which should still be on record in your system I don’t see what’s the issue. She’s already sending prescription vitamins over to the pharmacy for my son. Let’s kill two birds with one stone. Next day I get another phone call this time the staff was inquiring if my daughter was insured. Told them I pay out of pocket for her why what’s up? Dr. Thakkar wanted to bill me just bc I asked her during the call if she’d send a refill for my daughter. Not only did I tolerate her terrible bedside manner now she’s charging me bc I asked about a refill? !? The staff tried to tell me this is normal procedure now but if you really consider that normal procedure then I’ll find another pediatrician. It’s not like the prescription required thorough information it’s for constipation. Something I wished I would have just taken care of with over the counters as this point.

My son went in and was diagnosed with strep throat and prescription was not sent to pharmacy. Here I am 8 hrs later and not even a call back left 2 messages with answering service. This is very unprofessional. Also this isn't the first. I miss the old staff from back in 2005 these new people don't know what they are doing. It's horrible how can u make a contagious patient wait till the next day for antibiotics with fever it's so predictable Everytime never fails

My 11 year old has been going there since he was born. Today I tried to get my son an appointment because he has a bad cough, sore throat, and he started wheezing from coughing too much. I called and I was told there was no appointments until next week. I explained that my baby is has asthma and can’t wait til next week and she said it was nothing they can do. My child has been going here since birth and I don’t know other pediatrics in Houston but I have find him a new pediatrician. This is the 4th time this has happen with them. They have took on too many patients and it’s to the point their old patients can’t get any appointments.

I love coming to your office. My daughter is 23 years old and been coming here every since and now her baby is a patient here as well. You guys are awesome!

I have been coming here since my 8 year old was born. They were the pediatricians at the hospital and performed his first check up. I have since had two kids and also have an older kid who all come here. I trust them completely and don’t plan on ever taking my kids anywhere else. Their reputation clearly speaks for itself because their office is always full. But even considering you never feel rushed and questions are always thoroughly answered.

Delivered a baby at the hospital. This doctor charged me $575 just because she checked my newborns vitals. Avoid this doctor!

The absolute best doctor ever! He and her staff genuinely care for their patients and my kids love her!

Dr. Thakkar is GREAT! I met with the other dr twice and she always rushed me during the visits. I refuse to see anyone else but Dr. Thakkar! The wait time is HORRIBLE! One time I waited an hour and half! Today I been here almost an hour and still haven’t been called to back because they have to verify my insurance. Didn’t know it took this long to do that!

UPDATE 02/07-HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE! My son has a serious eye infection. They referred him to an eye dr who isnt a pediatric dr and has HORRIBLE reviews as well. I been waiting 3 whole days for a new referring dr for him to go see.every time i call they say she is busy with patients.its like my 4 month old son is not important when he isnt in the office.i will definitely be moving drs.the scheduling coordinator IS RUDE!

I have been coming here for 5 years. At first I would easily rate this doctors office a 5, but now the bad out weighs the good. Both doctors are amazing don't get me wrong. But for me to make it here 15 minutes before my appointment and still be in the waiting room an hour after my appointment is ridiculous. They over book themselves and accept walkins. It used to be more about the doctors care for their patients now, it seems to be about making as much money in a day as possible.
