Helotes Overhead Garage Doors

Day 4 of them not even giving me an estimate for repair, finally got to that and they want to upsell to a whole new door when I just have a broken spring. And now telling me they can't even get to it today after asking them 3 times to come out and at least open the door so I can get my car out. People are nice enough and I'm trying to support local Helotes business but this is ridiculous.

Quick and easy replacement installation. Very reasonable pricing, professional attitude and local company. Not many companies like this out there anymore. Will definitely recommend. Thanks.

We had a part go bad on our garage door, and called these guys out to take a look. We were worried we would have to replace the whole system and to our pleasant surprise they had it fixed 2 days later and at a very reasonable price. We will use them again for our garage door needs.

Wes was super professional and friendly. He came out and replaced the rollers on the door. He took time to explain everything and why he was doing what he was doing. Really appreciate the exceptional service he did.

Just moved to Helotes one month ago. The garage door got off track. My husband always used overhead doors. I like to use local businesses. The owner Nate came out and immediately repaired it. I called due to issue with my motor and the garage door not opening (figured it be under warranty) since it’s acting up. Called on a Thursday they said they will be out Friday, I said okay it was my office day so I paid for someone to come over and house sit. They never called me in the morning until I called them. States they’d be over after lunch, 3: 30 comes along and don’t hear anything so I called they state the guy wrapping up his last call then heading my way. 4: 55 come still no one shows up I call again I get told they are finally on there way however they are stuck in traffic. I advise them that it still need to be checked out however I have dinner revelations down town at 7 so I need them to wrap it up by 6: 30 (mind you the person is still there at my house). I finally arrive Friday around 6: 10 I call the office they told me they canceled they guy. So we reschedule for Monday also they stated the owner would come by this time. I call early Monday to cancel due to my house sitter having conflict with their schedule. We schedule for Tuesday morning. Guy finally comes look at the sensor moves them, talks to me for 5-10 minutes then leaves. Never once looked at the Motor which I called about. A couple days later I get a phone call that I owe $100 dollar, then bring it down to $50 dollar.
I’m not one to complain or post however it’s very upset on this outcome. I have to out of pocket for Friday paying my house sitter (when they didn’t show) as well as the cost for them to come out which was never discussed. Over all I am not satisfied with the work or communication from them.

Nathan did fantastic work for me! My garage door broke late in the day and need to get out of my garage to head to the airport. I called several of the other companies who couldn't come that day. Nathan was there as soon as he possibly could be.even left a family emergency to come help me. He fully repaired my garage door right then and the cost was extremely reasonable compared to other quotes. He is now my go to man for garage doors. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Wow! As someone who works with subcontractors and technicians regularly, I can speak from experience when I say this company is top notch. From the office side of things (Joyce and Pam) to the technician I met (Wes), it was an easy and affordable process to fix my garage door. I couldn’t believe how knowledgeable and kind Wes was. He’s a young man and the only thing I regret not asking was advice on raising my kids to be like him (his family clearly did a great job!). Quick responses, affordable fixes, and knowledgeable techs. What more could you ask for?

Helotes Overhead Garage Doors is an amazing family owned business that strives for the customers satisfaction. The team is wonderful. The office was very informative and helped us with our garage needs and all of the technicians have always been great and are able to fix anything! 10/10 highly recommend!

They called to reschedule our original installation date, but we said no because of other engagements. Prices a bit high. Installers were very nice! And fast!

My garage door would not open or close in early March 2021. I called Hollywood Crawford, but they had no service appoints available for over a week. I then may the fateful mistake of calling Helotes Overhead Door. Their Technician did come over promptly.

When he arrived, he pushed what I believe to be a reset button on the opener itself and sprayed MY OWN lubricant on the rollers. The garage door did work briefly, but stopped again immediately after the tech left. The charge was $239.86, for what he claimed was a tune-up. I was shocked at the price. The Tech's statement was that is what the company wants him to charge. The term tune-up for garage doors is at best loosely defined, but no reputable garage door company defines a tune-up as pushing a reset button and spraying the rollers. Since the tech said there was a 30 day warranty, I called him right after he left to return and fix the door. He did not return and did not return the call, either.

After not hearing back from Helotes Overhead Garage Door, I called Hollywood Crawford and they fixed my problem in short order. Apparently, the sensor was bumped out of alignment. Hollywood Crawford's Tech analyzed the problem before he got out of the truck and corrected the issue in less than one minute. In retrospect, I should be happy that the Overhead Garage door tech did not return a second time, for he said if he returned he would need to replace the roller for $699.00.

Overhead Garage Door is not a ethical company and I am in the process of filing a complaint with the better Business Bureau. Please warn your family and friends of the Business Practices of Helotes Overhead Garage Door!

6-2-2021: Have used this excellent company for 15 years. I returned home last night and my garage door would not open - cable was protruding on the left side. Called early this morning and spoke to office manager JOYCE who was friendly and helpful as always, and said that a tech would be available today.

She called me back in a few hours to advise that help was on the way. Technician WES arrived and showed me that the spring had broken which caused the cables on both sides to unravel. He replaced the spring, reset the cables and confirmed that the door was working perfectly. Price was reasonable considering today's costs for everything. Excellent job again Helotes Overhead Garage Doors Company!

I tried to go with this local, family owned business but after they failed to show up for 4 installation appointments I found another company that did it the same day. Had to cancel my thanksgiving plans because of a broken door and 3rd missed appt.maybe you will have better luck. They must be very busy.
