Hernandez Tortilleria, San Benito TX

The lady in the window was rude she seemed bothered to attend us and told us nothing on the menu was available besides like 3 things, mind you this is during the week so most of there menu says the food is available on those days also the last few times I came I do recall for a fact waiting 20+ minutes to get attended or get what I ordered but I kept giving them chances because I love supporting small businesses but this will be the last time I go unfortunately. I'll give the food a 5 because it was never disappointed but the service my mom and I received was definitely not okay! Find another job if you are not happy with that one please!

I had not had a problem till today. I always go n get barbacoa. But today. I ordered aguas. When I said no ice n he gave me lots of ice! After te6him I said no ice he refused to throw ice n he said he couldn't take them back. We ended up with 1/2 cups of aguas! I do understand why ppl can follow instructions!

This place has the best chorizo and egg tacos.usually tacos hardly have any chorizo and this place is not stingy with it at all! ** I highly recommend this restaurant.

I moved to San benito and was looking for a good place where we could buy aguas frescas or raspas and found this place and it’s amazing the coco water it’s my favorite it taste really natural and their service it’s good and the bistek torta it’s amazing too really recommend this place:)

So just to warn everyone I came here today to eat breakfast and as my friend went go pay the bill, A man came to take the payment who said he is the owner says to her that we came in a week ago and payed him with a fake bill. He then presented himself as a cop and said her needed her Drivers license and she needed to repay the again otherwise he was gonna press charges. He said he had her on camera paying over a week ago with the fake bill. So my question was then why didn't he file the report a week ago. I believe this man like to do this to women and people who look vulnerable. And he might be cleaning his dirty money. Be careful paying in cash at this place. I will no longer be going to this place. I support small business but not ones who try to steal from people. Just a precaution but be careful if u go here.

We tried their custom breakfast tacos which were really good! The sauces they gave us to go with them were also tasty and so good!

My first experience and the tacos I just got were well served and taste delicious like I have a picky person and he even loved it would be coming back again for sure

This was the first time trying this place, I recommend it highly.
The tacos and plates are scrumptiously delicious.
Not to mention they have taco Tuesday, tacos are $1.00 each

First time buying barbacoa and I threw away half because of the fat it had.called them and they were like ok! It will be my last time!

Okay breakfast tacos, lunch plates, aquas, raspas, corn in the cup, Saturday/ Sunday barbacoa and tamales. I go daily and I am never unsatisfied.
