Well, I've never rented from Hertz before but since I was involved in a rear end collision with another party's insurance fronting all the bills, State Farm chose them to get me a replacement vehicle, and Hertz was the shop choice!

I swung by after stopping by my collision shop and was greeted by the friendly lady working at the front desk who took all my info, insurance and deposit. And even let me pick a gun standard/midsize vehicle to drive, which ended up being a Tesla! Smart car for dumb people, yes. Lol. Although there was a learning curve and less than 15% left to charge; there were supercharging stations in proximity and we were also able to charge the vehicle at home.

It's been a stressful few weeks sorting this out being involved in insurance hell but Hertz helping me not walk in this 100 degree summer and getting me in a vehicle to drive around has been much appreciated! Can't wait for my own vehicle to return, my husband will certainly miss our rental, but now we know they're close by if we ever need a fun weekend ride:)

Slow, slow, slow, they blame they blame their system for not working, there are 10 people waiting in the room to get their cars and they are writing on paper forma like old school to fill up all the information. @ Herrz please improve your network, your are a global company, spend some money on technology to provide better and fast service, no one will wait for 30 minutes to get a car in your office. Time is money.

The front desk person was so courteous, helpful and explained all charges. It was a local rental and I will use this Hertz location again

Would do zero stars if I could. They’re extremely slow and unhelpful staff. They authorize a ridiculous amount on your card and don’t tell you how much they’re charging before they charge it. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Not sure why they have a 2.8 rating at the time of this review because my (two) experiences have been excellent.

My first experience from a few years ago was as such. No hidden fees, very cut-and-dry, and my deposit was returned after dropping off the vehicle with a full tank. The smooth transaction led me to use them again, recently.

My second experience from the other day. I had to cancel my rental, last-minute, because the nature reservation I had booked back in March was cancelled last-minute. This was no fault of Hertz, but I cancelled because I didn't want to run the risk of taking a rental out if the very reason for getting a rental no longer existed. I did not expect any refund, whatsoever, because of the timing. (That would've been fair, mind you.) However, they extending me a one-time courtesy because of my predicament and offered me the full refund. I'm not saying this will be the case for any/all who rent from Hertz. Nor am I advocating that anyone attempt to exploit their goodwill. However, if showing understanding and compassion is not quality customer service, I don't know what is.

I thank Hertz for their business and I hope others have similar, positive dealings with them in the future. I'll definitely be using Hertz again.

I don’t travel often so renting a car seemed a little stressful for me. I was helped by Kintafius Thomas and I was so grateful for him for helping me out at a time I felt like everything was going wrong. Not only was he patient with me but he directed me through all the steps. Kintafius Thomas was professional and super helpful. He went out of his way to make sure I left satisfied with the service. If I come back to visit family again I definitely want him to help us.

Also, the Branch manager Muyiwa Oyenubi was the first person I spoke to on the phone and he wasn’t the friendliest person to speak to. I felt like he was too busy and I felt rushed to get off the phone.

So if you rent a car here I highly suggest to see Kintafius Thomas!

They keep charging me tolls! For a month 200 dollars according to them admintrative fee 9 dollars per day!

They only had two employees and they had to answer the phone instead of waiting on you. It took forever to get a car.

Even with phone check an hour prior to pickup still there was no pre-reserved vehicle. Unbeliveable wait time for manager to dismissively push a lower class vehicle for the prepaid cost of the original car. Fair staff, very rude manager. Could not leave fast enogh to end a BAD experience. Company still charged my card even though location cancelled transaction on site. I only found out by checking my card days later. I called the location and was provided a 'customer relations' line to recoup my charge, 18 mins later, the nightmare was over. Save yourself the heartache and to go enterprise next door.

Gold member status comes no where close, to what they claim!
Not to mention there are three levels of Gold that were never disclose; when I became a member 20 plus years ago!

Today while at their Houston Bush Intercontinental airport, I requested upgrade while exchanging the rental I was in
I was not only reminded of my gold status but told I would have to pay the difference.
I was not satisfied with the answer I was given, so I made contact with Hertz 1800 customer service.
I was put on hold for 30 minutes, while they located a supervisor.
When he finally came to the phone, he also was unwilling to Accommodate my request.
I left upset only to get 40 miles outside of the location, when my change engine oil soon comes on.
Does Gold membership has its Privileges?
Not if you ask me!

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Check engine light came ok with 3% oil notification. When I called the location as a courtesy and offered to bring the vehicle back I was met with confrontation and short remarks from a gentleman who refused to share his name. I was "assured" the oil had been changed and it was an error, yet Hertz corporate confirmed the vehicle had less than 200 miles before it was due for it's next oil change. Imagine the engine damage that could have been done if I had taken this car out of town like I planned to. In short, the gentleman after our second conversation hung up on me and I am now on my fourth phone call searching for a location to fill my order due to his unprofessional behavior.

The competence level of the staff in the front is extremely basic. The response to even the smallest complication (eg not having the reserved car in stock) is to suspend courtesy and politeness. In summary: If you NEED a car, this place will do. But don't expect any more.

Absolutely horrendous service. I called and made an appointment for Hertz pickup at 12: 30pm. They never showed up to pick me up. I called at 12: 30pm when I didn't notice anybody and they put me on hold for 49 minutes. Their excuse was "you're supposed to notify us that you're otw". 1) that was never instructed to me. 2) what is the point of an appointment if I have to reconfirm? How am I supposed to call you to let you know I'm on the way if you're gonna put me on hold for 49 minutes? I made a new "appointment" on Monday, but I don't see how this experience is gonna be any different? Absolutely terrible experience.
