After 50 minutes still online at Dollar Car rental at Bush airport in Houston. Personnel could not care less about a 60 minute line while other companies have short lines. Still very frustrated. I hate Dollar rent a car.

If I could give 0 stars I would! My car got towed (10/31/2023) &, I went through everything they asked me to do (my belongings were left in the car) she wants to call me today (01/26/2024) that they donated everything & hangs up on my face! How rude! I refuse to talk to Ms. Unprofessional Cheryl hanging up on my face! I’ve been talking to your team on facebook for about 2-3 weeks ago before I decided to post this review but to be honest they weren’t helpful! I would like to speak to the owner!

They made it so easy. I got off my flight, within 15 minutes, took the shuttle to the rental car center where Herz is located. 1 person in line. Told the lady my reservation, gave her my payment and she said to go pick a car. Only thing is I was not familiar with that concept, so I didn't know I can just get in any car and drive thru the lane to get check out. Super cool. Didn't give me a hard time. 5 stars for making it so easy.

The agent at the airport was kindda ok, she wasn’t friendly enough for a sales agent but she was polite and did her job well.

The car was nice and clean. When I got the car I had 495 miles (looked full tank). On my way back to return it I stopped by the gas station and filled it up and it gave me 570 miles on the screen. I gave the car back with 563 miles and still got charged $10.49 for one gallon of gas.

Lack of customer service when picking up car. As a hertz presidents circle member you Re not valued and car selection isn’t good.

Really at least customer service should be improved. National is much better alternative.

The girls in the entrance not so good but Eric the manager is an incredibly proactive and polite man. He was very helpful in solving the issues of everyone. He did everything fast and accurately even with people that doesn't speak english well.

Would recommend renting elsewhere due to bad customer service alone. I asked for the young renters fee to be waived due to being active duty military and a USAA member (Hertz policy). The woman helping me said that she didn’t see my husband here so I couldn’t get the active duty discount (because I’m active duty and a woman, crazy). After I showed her my active duty ID, she still charged me for young renters, argued with me, and refused to take the charge off. This has been the worst hertz experience I have had and will be switching what rental company I use

I gave a 1 star because 0 stars was not an option. I have been a Hertz user for over 30 years and will now shop around for a new rental car company due to their misleading practice regarding toll road fees. Hertz advertises "no worry toll fees" with their PlatePass system. Tolls are advertised to be charged at their normal rate and will be billed after the car is turned in. What they don't tell you is that there is a "convenience fee" added each day used. In my instance, I had $11.50 in tolls and $19.98 in convenience fees. Wow! What a thing to hide in the 30 pages of information included in the rental agreement. On my original review, I gave 5 stars because the survey was given immediately after I turned in my car. Now a week later, they hit you with the hidden fees. I have never had this issue before, so if this is a new process, Hertz needs to make their new processes clearier and give consumers an opportunity to decline the service. I feel Hertz made a fair profit from the rental and doesn't need to pad it with "convenience fees".

Location does not answer their phone after 20+ attempts. Voicemail box is full. Hertz corporate said I needed to contact the location. Good luck. I’ve given up after trying for nearly a week.

My family had a horrifying experience with Hertz at George Bush Airport. My brother rented a Tesla from Tennesse to drive to Houston Texas. After driving for less than an hour he realized that his charge was running out. Since I m a Tesla owner, he called me for advice; Tesla model Y goes over 300 miles in a single charge which means it an 800 mile ride, it requires to be charged 3-4 times.

During his trip, my brother called hertz multiple times and they recommended him to get to George Bush Airpot and change his vehicle as it clearly has a battery issue. After an 12 hour drive (which should only be 9 hours). My brother got to George Bush Airport and his experience got even worse; the store manager, Eric went against the companies order and refuse to release or exchange the vehicle. My brother and his family are now stuck with an inoperable vehicle, hundreds of miles away from home.

Lady at the front desk. Was in a bad mood the minute we walked up. Our (prepaid) reservation was for 6am. It is now 6: 52 no car. Just attitude from the attendant. Everyone else who should be helping was on their phones watching Tiktoks.

My husband has been renting from hertz since 2003 and is part of their president circle. This has been the worst experience dealing with Eric about our rental car having issues and needing an exchange. Our toddler and I (pregnant) came to Texas for thanksgiving break when I found out I had to go back home for an unexpected doctors visit. My husband rented a car to come take us home. On the way the car had issues and when he called hertz they said if he can drive it to George bush location they’ll exchange the car. A 12 hour drive turned into 24 hours and 2 hours of wasting time in hertz because Eric didn’t want to give a car to us because “ he would loose money if he gave us a car to go one way. ” We are in shock of the poor customer service and carelessness towards the fact that their car was faulty and they expect the customer to keep using it regardless.

Hi, I've been trying to call for a few days. I can't extend my rental through hertz because I've booked through Expedia. I've called corporate hertz and they can't extend my rental either. I've tried to call over 10 times a few different days with no answer and the voicemail box is full. Would someone be able to contact me?

I would highly recommend the Hertz rental car at the George Bush International Airport. The staff is fabulous. Especially DARLENE! They go the extra mile for customer care. Ask for Darlene, she provided us with exemplary service!
