High Point Village Apartments, Austin TX

If I could choose zero stars I would. Where do I start? I highly suggest not even giving this place a glance if you were even considering it. Very poor management. They are unresponsive and some of the rudest people I know. The apartment itself is disgusting and has smelled of something dead and has had an insect issue since move in. Garbage disposal/pipes have exploded multiple times under the sink, shower has stopped working 4 times, mold around exterior doors and windows, water was turned off twice without proper notice from management, toilet is half bolted to the floor, my vehicle has been damaged twice in the parking lot, the emergency maintenance line is just there for show, neighbor caught 3 rats outside his apartment after management did nothing about it. Need I go on?

Please save yourself the multiple headaches this place brings and choose any other apartment complex. Wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemy.

Stayed here a while back. This was my very first apartment and it was the absolute worst experience ever. When I first moved in the apartment smelled like complete smoke and cigarettes. My clothes smelled the same way for a very long time. Had to beg and plead for assistance with the the smell to be removed. There has hardly any maintenance men on on site and the communication in the front office always was unclear. Still fighting this claim with the apartment complex following my move out and can not get a hold of anyone.

DO NOT APPLY HERE IF YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT/WORKER! I applied recently, paid application fees (140$) and then got my application rejected because "my credit score was not good enough", something that is clearly impossible to fulfill for someone that has been living in this country for a year. They wanted me to pay some extra $300 (non-refundable) for "credit risk" even though I sent them a proof of income that was more than 3 times the rent (as stated in their own Qualifying criteria).

My place is a roach infested heap and the parking lot on my side is like a third world country garbage pile. The police are called both not nearly enough and far too often at the same time.

If you need a roof over your head, go ahead. If you do have options though, do all you can to live somewhere else.

Takes multiple trips to the office and maintenance request to get anything fixed, they will let water leaks go and go. Trash all over the place, no one picks up after their dog. Washing machines and dryers have been broken for months. These may be the worst apartments in Austin.

I don't live here, but I live next to this place in a different apartment complex. My apartment faces one side of this complex and it has made my time living in my current apartment horrible and is the reason I am moving. There is constantly loud music coming from this parking lot. People outside drinking, throwing bottles and cans everywhere. I am writing this at 11: 30pm after having to report a noise complaint.again.
