Hillside Fine Grill, Highland Village TX

Really good food, unique tastes, knowledgeable staff, and wonderful service each time I have been there, alone, with colleagues, and with family.a good experience overall.

This is the best restaurant in DFW, let alone Flower Mound/Highland Village. I have to start with the mashed potatoes, they are the best ever made! We have stopped making mashed potatoes and go and buy a serving whenever we cook at home. They even reheat to perfection. My wife and I both have our favorites but there’s nothing you can go wrong trying. I wish for holidays they’d consider doing a Prime Rib because I bet they’d knock it out of the park. Extremely fairly priced, my wife’s catfish and shrimp with 2 sides is $16 and my favorite chicken parm is $16.50 and unless I’m starving, I can get two meals because the portion is so large. Drinks are delicious and fairly priced. We’ve never had bad service once and whenever friends and family come up to visit us; this is our go to spot and no one has ever been disappointed by their food and this includes a 9 year old that loves Cane’s tenders and was equally pleased with the chicken tenders at Hillside.

Wanted to give a big shout out to the owner. As my husband came in to pick up a pizza last night that we had ordered. He had no cash on him for some reason his card wasn't working. I was home sick and the Owner gave him the pizza. I wanted to let you know that your act of Kindness did not go unnoticed, Thank you again

Well. I must say.this was a great evening. My family and I went to celebrate my 16 year old grandson's 16th birthday and it was great. The food, the service, the atmosphere. ALL a PERFECT 10. I got the salmon.cooked perfect. My wiofe got the Club salad and once I saw it, I could have gotten the salad but once I tasted the salmon. WOW. We will definitely go here again. If you have not been, you MUST make this a stop on your list of places to eat.

We dined with you for the first time the other evening. I had heard from friends about your place and was excited to go. I want to give the highest review! The food was excellent, prices reasonable, the atmosphere great, and our waiter was over the top! Sean was spectacular! Customer service is still alive! Thank you for a great dining experience. We will be back and bring others.

We have been coming to Hillside since they first opened. This was our first family pack to go order. It was just as good as dine in if not better. We enjoy every visit and every meal. The front desk, kitchen, wait staff, food and the prices are great. Our favorite Flower Mound restaurant!

It's a wonderful restaurant. Classy but not too terribly expensive. Special occasions or even just when you are out and about.
The lemonade is just the best!

Very good place. I loved the Hawaiian Chicken that was perfectly cooked and probably the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten.

Let me genuinely honest with this review right now. I went with family and first of I wanted to state that they are extremely nice, and please be surprised when you think “teenage” boy that is going to be serving you won’t have the deepest voice in human history ever. I’m talking it sounds like bro hits a pack of cigarettes everyday, and I’m saying this as like a “damn your voice is deep” way (deep voices are literally awesome), like it scared us how deep that man’s voice was. Anyways we got there and he came up to us and asked what we wanted first which he was very kind about it, and had a smile that lit up the whole room, for real. We decided we wanted chips and queso which was really good btw (queso, salsa, and some random dip in the middle which was really really good) He kept coming back very patiently asking if we were ready yet and when we were we ordered: “I’ll have ribs”, “I’ll have catfish”, “I’ll have chicken strips”, “I’ll have a burger”, “I’ll have shrimp”, and I asked for mac and cheese. Sounded pretty good to me but when the food got here it looked delicious like I’m talking you’d want to have this for your last meal, THATS how scrumptious this Mac & Cheese looked. I dug In immediately but got greeted by a taste I don’t think I can not NOT taste.when I’m telling you I tried liking it but the taste just got worse, bite after, bite. I decided to go under my chicken to see if it was better and when I tell you it tasted like you were trying to eat just straight banana or orange skin I literally froze in disgust. Finally my mom said “is it good” and I looked at my step-dad and told him it’s literally loaded with lemon zest. He picks up a fork and digs it into my Mac & Cheese and he’s face goes still “your right, that is literally loaded with lemon zest”, he picks at another macaroni and requests for my mom to try it she opens her mouth while her face goes into a still face, almost the exact same expression my step dad made. She said to me “that isn’t very good…”, the whole ride back I was pretty upset about the straight zest I ate that night. Anyways hope you like my perspective of this restaurant, but in all seriousness their other food is really good just don’t recommend that Mac & Cheese.

It was the wife’s Birthday, so we decided to try out Hillside Fine Grill. We had a little trouble finding it because Garmin does not really seem to recognize the address. MapQuest and maps do not have a problem once we realized there was one. The restaurant was nice, clean and had a great contemporary atmosphere. Food Service was excellent. The wife and I had Shrimp and Catfish, and it was great. Coleslaw was good, fries are shoestring type which were excellent. If I could change one thing, I would love them to bring Condiments to you by the bottle. My fault. I hate Cocktail Sauce and they bring you Catsup, Cocktail, and Tartar Sauce in these little stainless containers which is never enough. I should have just said that up front, so that is why I take the blame. Iced Tea was good. I give the place 5 stars. We will be back. Keep up the excellent work.

Always a great experience. Two suggestions though, please add bread. Cheesecake is coming soon and they have awesome bread, time to add it. Also, no menu change in years. Maybe add some rotating specials? Or change up the menu a bit?

Great selection on menu. Fried shrimp was amazing. Shrimp Gumbo was best I've had in Texas, but could have been a little spicier. Sautéed asparagus was better than anything I can do at home. Cost was spot on.

We ate here for lunch, and everything we ordered was delicious - except for the chicken tenders. Those had no seasoning at all, but there were 5 of us, and literally everything else at the table was great.

Nice atmosphere, food very little taste. Service needs work. Server rarely checked on us and seemed disconnected for his work. Bacon on burger was burnt. Nice clean dining area.
