The best service with 5 star food! Sierra was absolutely the best we’ve EVER had. It seemed like she was our personal waitress the whole night! Recommend making a reservation as this place is always packed! This is the first place I’ve been to that changed my cocktail to an iced martini glass to keep it cold. Very impressed. Perfect place for an anniversary dinner or an elevated dinner date. We’ll be back!

The prime rib was spectacular. The selection of wine was adequate for dinner. The server was more than outstanding. I was recommended by a colleague and was not disappointed! Favorite restaurant now!

I know y’all don’t care because clearly management and the other employees don’t, but I’m going to leave this review anyway. You all just lost a long time, loyal customer. The bartender (young lady, around 5: 15pm on Christmas Eve) and manager on duty (30-35 y/o male, at around 5: 15 on Christmas Eve) were absolutely horrible to say the least. I’ve received better service at fast food establishments. The staff was very dismissive and snide regarding my grievances

The Bar is awesome as well! They have a dessert made from scratch called the Apple Walnut Cobbler, it is served warm with vanilla ice cream and is the best tasting cobbler I have ever had!

A kids menu with just grilled cheese. Doesn't seem like a good idea. The one and a half hr wait was not ideal either when reservations of parties over 4 is not allowed. Seems completely backwards. Food and service were good so adding a few stars. However place was definitely better in the past.

The menu was limited but still had a few of the items that the old Houston's we just had. I was disappointed they didn't have the vegetable plate anymore. The menu was very limited and a bit disappointing. Still has the gorgeous atmosphere and the bartenders at the bar were very attentive. Sadly, the rest of the restaurant was a bit empty.

Excellent food! Full of flavor and cook just right! Beautiful atmosphere, and a great plate to meet with old friends or even better for date night!

Brought grandkids here after the theater. Very disappointed in menu. Items that we’re very popular (chicken tenders) are no longer available. They haven’t been on the menu for years but were still available. Grandchildren ordered chicken sliders and after waiting 30 minutes they tell us they are out of chicken sliders. Not sure when or if we will get served

We went to have their famous Fried Chicken salad. We were so disappointed to find that it was no longer on the menu. Our delightful server suggested a combination of items that allowed us to recreate this delectable meal at our table. She was our hero! Kadijah, you rock! Atmosphere was great. Service was great. Food was fabulous!

I have been eating at Houston’s (now called Hillstone, named after parent company) for decades. The atmosphere and dining experience has changed for the worse as the restaurant has tried to upscale thru the years. Snooty! Food items have not changed much. Management and staff are not as friendly as in the past. Snooty! Prices are higher. If Hillstone management is reading this review.take note and look at the Hal Smith chain of Charleston Restaurants. That is how Houston’s use to be long ago, but operated better. You should go back to that type of family friendlier atmosphere. If I want to go to an upscale “snooty” casual restaurant I’ll go eat at J. Alexander’s Merus Grille and get a better dining experience over Hillstone. Matter of fact the staff at Merus are friendlier. Also.regarding your Hickory Burger, please go back to Canadian Bacon.

All I can say is I've never been to such an ignorant (staffed) restaurant. They really need to post on the outside door that you can't be on your phone. They wouldn't seat us until I was done talking to my daughter oncologist (she has cancer). That is the most ridiculous "rule" for a restaurant. There were people eating there in sweat pants for God sake. Never will I go there again and I 100% do not recommend.

Blair took my name and phone number down when I checked in for a table for 2. Blair walked past me twice, and personally called on two different couples who arrived 15-20 min after me and sat them. I had to walk back up to host to check on table only to find out Blair failed to put me down. The only difference between the other guests and I were that they came after me, and were Caucasian as my party was Hispanic and African American. The hosts were understanding when we went back up to check on table and sat us right away.

The service was horrible and the waitress was rude! I’ve never been to a restaurant with horrible service like this one! I’m disappointed

This place has the best prime rib in the city. The servers are always wonderful and the atmosphere is quaint. Tip: if you get the prime rib get it with the Cajun rub.

We used to come here when it was called Houston's. The hickory burger is just not as good now. Used to have Canadian ham, bottom layer of bun was thin, fries were soft, and the burger wasn't cooked correctly. Ordered medium rare but recieved well done. We're celebrating anniversary of first date and this just wasn't the experience or quality we've had in the past. On bright side restaurant in was clean.

Smoked salmon excellent, the other food below average compared to the price. The manager refused to allow desert to go her reason was, in her opinion desert needs to be eaten at the restaurant. Fortunately the great City of Houston has hundreds of locations that allow deserts to go.

Very nice experience. Waitress and staff was very attentive. Highly recommend to make reservation ahead of time or expect to wait.

My sister took me here for then 1st time in 15-20 years. Spinach/Artichoke dip was devine. Salad was yummy but super small and to have chicken added you have to just get a side of chicken. Please add the chopped cobb with chicken back!
