Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carthage, an IHG Hotel

Bathtub was dirty. Looked like these was hair dye on the curtain and tub was rusty & green shampoo or cleaner all over it. TV didn’t work. Bed was comfortable.

Staff were excellent, helpful and welcoming.

Bed changing, room cleaning and fresh towels definitely need to be improved. My bed was only made 2days (stayed 12-13nights) and only as I requested they actually make the bed everyday (although it wasn’t done). You had to basically ask the cleaning staff to change towels, top up cleaning products etc, that’s a first for me and I have travelled all over the world.

Pool was closed. Noise complaint about my 4 year old daughter running back and forth in our room? Holiday inns are normally good, would not go back to this one

I've stayed at this location about 3 times when I'm passing through and can't drive anymore. Beds are very comfortable to my liking, clean rooms, and cold ac. The hardest part is getting out of bed here.

Rooms and hotel were nice and clean. Comfortable. The pool was closed, we didn't find out until check in. We cam her because of the pool so I could swim with our daughter while my husband worked. Then while asking for water for my daughters bottle you would have thought I asked the lady for a martini and foot massage. People a rude, careless, selfish, and just because of them I will NOT be here again. My weekend taken over by lack of communication and bad employees

It's easy to find. Very clean new rooms. Comfortable and friendly staff. Awesome breakfast.

If i cpukd.give zero starsni would Absolutely trash. The place is dirty and a total disappointment. The pool is closed. Save your money.

This location is under construction, and that aside, there were other issues. Our room on the first floor was next to a broken exit door that banged every time someone used it. All hours of the night and even at daylight. The customer service employee said it had been broken for a good while. We had lizards in the room because there is a huge gap under our door. We were compensated for our stay and may visit again after the hotel is completed their renovation. It should look and be a lot better.

Even under construction, they are very accommodating. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Shower was amazing. Breakfast was very good. Highly recommend.

First things first, we were staying at this hotel for only 1 night and I didn’t really have a problem. The breakfast was great, loved it but I did notice that there wasn’t a dinning room so we had to eat in our room, I didn’t want to make a mess + there was like 4 people in the room so yea. Also the lady at the front desk gave us a weird look but didn’t think much of it. The beds weren’t that comfortable but I managed to go to sleep. I can’t say much about the amenities … The pool was cold, freezing! The gym had construction and the TV wasn’t really functioning! So if you plan staying at this be sure to bring something to distract. Furthermore the room was beautiful it’s self- (look at the pictures) and I was INLOVE with the bathroom mirror

I had one of the updated rooms, pretty nice. Hotel is clean. The shower hardware is kind of a joke. Service good. DIRECTV remote did not work well until I fixed it myself. How is DirectTV still in business? The hotel is in disarray right now. No fitness room, that was disappointing. Had to pay full price for half of the services. My bill was $159 for a night! Not even that high in Houston or Dallas. Pretty expensive for what it was, where it is. Road is really noisy from the Jake Brakes. I should have stayed at the BW down the road. Maybe when they are done renovating it will be worth the price. Right now, OVERPRICED.

Definitely some differed maintenance going on here. Breakfast area chairs are stained and wobbly tables. Floor board trim falling off wall and wallpaper water stained. A lot of road noise from highway. I switched to the Best Western next door.

Breakfast was available early in the morning which was convenient. The room was also remodeled and very clean.

Everything was excellent - rooms were big and well-furnished, the staff (especially Sarah at the Front Desk) were very nice, and breakfast was awesome. Looking forward to staying here again.
