Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Braunfels, an IHG Hotel

Had a great day! Everybody was very helpful! The general manager, Roberto, Garcia, helped us find a place to go eat dinner late at night, and was very accommodating!

The staff was excellent and was very receptive. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. A perfect stay as a place to crash for a night!

Great place to stay in New Braunfels!
Clean, quiet, spacious room with refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Friendly, courteous staff.

Most frustrating part of staying at this hotel is that the front desk wouldn’t let anyone check in until exactly 3 PM. Reason given was that housekeeping hadn’t finished cleaning any of the rooms yet. So apparently at exactly 3PM all of the rooms were miraculously cleaned at the exact same time and they finally started letting people check in. Lobby was full of people all trying to check in at the same time and was chaos. My wife had to change clothes in the bathroom as we were made late trying to get to a wedding. The front desk girls checking people in seemed sweet and accommodating, but appeared to just be following orders given to them by their manager.

Room was good except for the AC which was extremely loud.

This is the first review I’ve ever taken the time to leave, but felt it was necessary. Holiday inn management, you can do better.

I have no idea where to start. The room smell fresh and inviting. Cool and comfortable. I was greeted by new friends. Love the extra touches. 100

Renovated and good breakfast. Check in was efficient with Cassie she made our stay more enjoyable and mentioned how many points and upgraded us as well she was the best we will definitely be coming back. Don’t forget to try the breakfast Mrs. Vicky did awesome

Roberto and the staff were so nice and caring. They went out of their way to make our stay the best that we had in along time.

The property is great. It is up to the IHG standards I would expect.
I would give the review 5 stars except for my interaction with the GM Roberto Garcia. This individual has zero (0) personality. He is supercilious, superior acting in conversation and body language, pompous and condescending. While checking in I listened to Mr. Garcia talk to someone on the phone like he was lecturing a child. I also watched him convey hotel information to another guest in a curt and dismissive manner. My attempt at conversation was a disaster. This guy is bad news. He is not doing your brand any favors. I see that you have a few options; 1. Terminate this person. 2. Send him to a reeducation camp (charm school) for retraining in basic respect for customers. 3. Keep him in a back room away from paying customers. After reading the reviews from others, it is apparent that this is not a one off incident. You people have an issue. I find it odd that no one addressed the issues and concerns of the previous negative reviews, at least on this forum. Me and my wife took a mini vacay to new braunfels last week and the stay was awesome! The front desk lady Cassie was so inviting she suggested dinner options which we loved and her energy was just so amazing we love to see people who love their job and actually know what customer service is she is a prime example. The rooms were nice and cozy and very up to date. Breakfast was amazing. I definitely recommend this hotel for any kind of stay!

My family and I stayed here last week for my sisters wedding and the hotel was amazing! The rooms were updated and very comfortable the breakfast was super good. The front desk girl Cassie was so welcoming, she gave us suggestions for local bars and restaurants and helped us with directions a couple times she is such a sweet heart she made us feel like family. We will continue to stay here for our future stays, other local holiday inns we have been too are super rude.

It was horrible. I came down from Fort Worth brought my handicap mom and sister on a 5night mini vacay, called the previous week before trying to get a 1st floor room they told me to call Day of still couldn’t get a 1st floor room‍️ then the neighbors either up stairs or beside me I couldn’t tell where the noise was coming from, but it’s like they had kids and they were bouncing off the wall, running jumping off the bed etc… I called front desk they were to handle it but never did, everytime I put my handicapped family to sleep they start bouncing off the walls, walking them up I complained for 2 nights, the first couple nights I let it slide because I didn’t want to be a tell tell. It was HORRIBLE and front desk did NOTHING! I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN… oh and keep in mind I spent over 1,100 bucks to not be able to rest or relax!

Staff was nice, helpful, and friendly! Very clean! A lot of restaurants and stores near by. Pool was always very clean! The breakfast buffet had great food also very clean! I loved the gym it had quite a lot of equipment. Kid friendly, I only say this because I know some hotels are mean and or strict about children. Never got a complaint or ugly stares (not saying my kids are bad but they do laugh/play like every other kid).

When traveling to New Braunfels this is THE place to stay. The rooms were impeccably clean and updated with modern amenities. The bathrooms were large and brightly lit. The bathroom does not include a tub but does offer a VERY large stand up shower with Dove shampoo and soap products. One excellent feature was the black out window shades, this kept the room cool and dark for sleeping in. Checkout is at noon and the complementary breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was knowledgeable about the area and offered free cookies and lemonade. Will definitely make this hotel my go to spot for river trips in the future!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Tested positive for Covid and needed a refund in order to not spread the virus. Roberto the GM refused to give us a refund at all. He said he’d rather us come there and spread covid then him issue a refund. Called customer service 4 separate times and they said they can do nothing. Wouldn’t recommend at.

My husband and I recently returned from staying at this hotel. We actually had a great time and there are no complaints on the actual room or hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Upon checking out, I left several clothing items in the closet which I completely forgot to check. I called the day after when I realized I had left them, to speak with someone and I talked with Christian, the on-site mgr. I described the items and he said he would check lost & found. He came back on and said he didn't see them. I told him I knew I left the items in the closet and asked for him to check and see who cleaned the room. He told me, "we have no evidence you left items and they are not in the lost & found. I'm not wanting to get anyone in trouble but I am wanting my things back! He put forth zero effort in trying to help.
