Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Antonio-Dtwn Market Area, an IHG Hotel

On monday, peace and quiet, so close to medical center. Slightly outdated but very practical. Price n location are a good buy. I stayed here again, i booked at Springhill suites for 2 nights but coul only endure one.
Never again.
This holiday inn has a way better breakfast and they seem to be improving little at a time. I have a final dwcision family made: we wont stay anywhere wlse but un this place. We come for medical reasons. Thus is ourbest choice.

Clean and spacious. Staff is very professional. Gave me a handicap accessible room because no others were available. I loved the accommodations because they actually tidied my room during an extended stay of three days. I haven’t had that done without requesting it anywhere. Good place to stay.

We booked this room for 2 nights last minute and the front desk staff was helpful and nice from the minute we walked in. The room was roomy enough for our family of 5 and was clean. We had no issues getting bedding for the pullout and extra towels. Beds were the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept on for years. Would definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

I was here on business and on one corner you have a pizza hut located right around the corner and down stairs you have a fitness room to work it off or for the breakfast buffet. Rooms were cleaned, refrigerator and microwave just had a bad odor coming from bedroom. Service was great and

Actually left after checking in. Photos on site are not a good representation. Room was very mush in need of updating, stains all over couches, ripped cushions, old ripped sheets, bad smell furniture don't match looks like from the thrift store across the street. There are many better places down town for less money.

Great Hotel just that the elevators sometimes never shows up when you call it. And the wifi is kind of slow here. But this place is great

Very comfortable room, very roomy. Our ac took time to really cool down the way I like it. Front desk staff really friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast is awesome btw!

Our room was clean and spacious. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise from the bar next door, but that did not bother us and we could only hear music. The only complaint about the room is that the toiletries are Dove brand soap and not the brand we are used to from Holiday Inn hotels.

The pool is not easily accesible and the hot tub is filled in with concrete. We had to look for the front desk clerk to help us get into the pool area.

We did have a good nights rest and the breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Room has a nice sitting area so we could visit with my family. We would stay here again if we just need a place to sleep, but if you are looking for a hotel with a lot more amenities then this is not on brand for what we are used to from Holiday Inn

Only giving one star because i HAVE to. Had the WORST experience ever at this place. Check in took over an hour, first she thought my ID was fake, ive never had ANYONE question my ID, not cops, bouncers, store clerks NO ONE! Than she wouldn't let me swap my method of payment and made me pay cash, i wouldn't be surprised if they kept the cash and didn't even put it on the books, than our keys didn't work, so i had to go back down to get the women and she comes back up, after trying the key 6 times it finally opens and she GOES INTO THE ROOM with us which is AGAINST hotel policy, i nearly had to kick her out! W werent ever able to get into our room without assistance, than i ask to speak w a manager at check out and he is the rudest person i've ever met, He admits his staff isn't trained properly, and when i tell him that's not my fault its his, hes got nothing to say, and refused me a refund cause "his staff isn't trained properly with making keys and checking people in" than he has the audacity to tell me well ill fire her and hire you" the most condescending and rudest, money hungry manager i've ever met to date. Managing a hotel is not just about making it money, and for some reason there's a lot of hotel managers with that mentality and he was one of them.

This hotel was very conveniently located for my needs but the room I was in could use some repair. There is also only one way to enter this hotel from one Street, which makes it a bit cumbersome.

Annoyingly loud music every night from the outdoor bar across the street. No quiet rooms. Far from the river walk and no shuttle available. Building is old. Neighborhood is not great.

Was not able to get into room. Had to get front desk to open it. Room would not cool. Had ac at 60.

The staff went out of their way to help me. Mary was especially helpful. The beds were very comfortable, they even had a sofa bed for my extra child. Price was very reasonable for a downtown stay. Hot breakfast every day with pancakes. I would definitely book here again.
