Holiday Inn Houston SW - Sugar Land Area, an IHG Hotel

I should have known this location would be iffy. Man posted up outside looking creepy. Lobby had no snacks. Hallway smelled. Unlocked the door the room smelled stuffy and molded. Only two towels in the bathroom. The carpet is yucky. Only thin sheets on the bed. A/C unit was loud. My fiancé left to go get some food upon returning he was greeted by another guest that informed him that his muffler was stolen off his car during the night. We had to ask for several more towels because we were visiting my fiancé sons for Thanksgiving weekend and we had them with us. Grateful upon reservation they only allowed us to book one night. Because at check out we definitely will be leaving this nasty icky establishment and find a cleaner safer hotel in another location. We will never embark upon this establishment again. Not as long as I’m traveling with him. I’ve never sprayed so much Lysol in my life.

So I was here on the night of Nov 27th and I had a reservation for that night. As soon as I went to the receptionist, she told me she wasn’t going to take any more customers in because she had a bad experience with other customers and that I’d get a free night if I waited for her colleague. I waited there for at least 45 mins and no one showed up so I left for another hotel. Later i called asking for a refund and they said i was a no show and they will not refund me my money. This type of service is unacceptable. Horrible experience and would never go in there to stay.

Hallway smelled like weed 2 ND floor had a nasty dirty chair by elevators. Floors were gross. House keeping entered our room without us being there and belongings in room.

This place was just horrible there are a lot of evacuees there. Also there is no type of security and people made noise all night long until 4 a.m on a Sunday night. I was so tired at work on MONDAY morning. I will not return as I am sure that this was reported by half of the floor and nothing was done

This hotel is horrible and should be shut down! There should be no way, shape, form or fashion that they are able to operate using the IHG brand because this hotel was more like a motel! T! He rating is well below a 0There were roaches beyond roaches all over the room, especially the bathroom, the soap looked as though someone had used it before I entered into the room. Lets just say I could've slept in my car instead. RUN FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

-Booked without breakfast, called one day before and request a change, lady told me that change could be done once I was in hotel. That day they told me reservation was blocked and couldnt do any change
- Noisy bathrooms
-smelly (pot, cigar)
-Restaurant not open at night (sunday)
-Found Homeless people in parking lot AND even inside building. No security
- Key needed to be reactivated three times before working
- not so clean overall
-Needs lots of maintenace.
-No vending machines except one small shelf behind front desk

The vending machine was empty. The ice machine only worked on the 6th floor and half of the light bulbs needed to be replaced. Then to add insult to injury, my television didn’t work either.

Room smelled musty and felt moist. There's no ventilation in the bathroom. Ceiling texture in bathroom was peeling off from the moisture. Overall, the location does not looked cared for

No microwave no refrigerator broken shower head oily smell pillows no breakfast. Better stay in your car

Nothing is functioning properly; air conditioned noisy with no knob, room was trashed when I first walked in, dirty seats, hallway, no microwave, no fridge; elevator not working to ice machine and internet. It’s just too much to list! I don’t know where this place got their name from. Do not book here—you’re warned

Didn't like it, they didn't have complementary breakfast, also they didn't have hot water in the shower, they also have only one towel in the bathroom in a room for 4 people. If we turn off the air conditioner it starts to smell bad.

Room not ready at check in. Wanted my bank card to "hold for incidentals" when is already paid for my room online. I'd called prior to booking to confirm indoor and outdoor pool both available but on arrival was told indoor pool not available. Booked room for me and 3 teens, yet bathroom had only 2 large towels and one way cloth. Only 1/2 roll of toilet paper in bathroom. No coffee packet in the morning, got cleaning lady in Hall to give me one, then had to take little coffee maker to several outlets to get to work. Had two queen beds, neither of which had any blanket or comforter. Sheets only. Maintenance that came to fix AC was nice and he got us blankets and towels (front desk said "they'd check into it"!) I'll never get a room there again that's for sure. I was getting house painted indoors and didn't want us in there because of fumes. Do yourself a favor and get a room somewhere else!

This was by far the worst experience ever! This hotel is gross, dirty and has roaches all over! The water pressure sucks, there is a moldy smell all through. They have a nice lobby and that's what tricks people into thinking it'll be a nice place but I would've rather slept in my car. I paid online via hotels.com and now I have a charge on my credit card I did a hold on for $33 and we didn't purchase anything from the hotel, haven't called them yet but if you charge me on my card I expect you to tell me prior to for what I'm being charged. Will be calling them now!
