Holiday Inn & Suites Spring - the Woodlands Area, an IHG Hotel

Checked in on 12/31/22. Went to get ready to go out for NYE at 8pm and no hot water in the entire hotel! Ice cold showers! Management says “We’re trying to find someone to come out and fix it”. Good luck with that.

We were visiting family in Houston and reserved this hotel to stay. The hotel had no hot water to shower with as cold as it was in Houston. No face towels and there was a dirty towel on the floor when we checked in and the same dirty was still in position when we checked out.

Staff was friendly, helpful, and engaging. Workout room was spacious and well equipped. (Evening workouts after floors are mopped are difficult with standing water on the mats and squishing up between the seams make the mats too slick for push-ups, plyo, etc)

Rooms were clean and well kept. Sheets clean and fresh. Cleaning staff made beds and restocked bathroom each day. Hot water was scalding the first night, and then barely got warm the next two days.

Biggest disappointment was the pool and hot-tub - both are closed due to parts needed for heater and pump. (Was told it has been almost a year waiting for the part - website should update so travelers know not to pack a swimsuit or expect to wind down in the hot-tub.)

Breakfast had more options than expected for size of breakfast area - pretty standard like a Drury or etc.

Overall, recommend for short stay.

For the most part it was a really good hotel. It definitely needed updates. The only problems we found were (1) The floor in the elevator literally had what felt like a sunk in spot in the middle of the floor which was scary. (2) Our bathroom floor had something all over it that was a cross between litter and sand. Not sure what it was but was all over the floor. Had to use a towel and sweep it to the side. (3) There was water damage to the cabinet that held the fridge. But again, the hotel needs an update. Other than those, the hotel was great. The beds were amazing, no loud disturbances, the breakfast was awesome. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt and bagels.

This accommodation is clean Covid-19 protocol in place. The staff was accommodating to secure a room best suited to my needs. The breakfast is awesome. Several options for all guests and the hostess was friendly to all the guests - with a beautiful smile on her face every morning. I would choose to stay here again in the area.

AC was super smelly, all of the furniture seems damaged, bed are really creaky, TVs are all from 2001. Breakfast now cost $4. Got put on the first floor and the floors are paper thin. Heard running, stomping, and walking 24/7z

I’m a Marine Corps veteran and I was just hung up on by the front desk person it was very rude when I asked if my service dog was allowed at the hotel no explanation she hung up on me midsentence

The elevators don't feel safe the floor in them feel weak and spots through the hallway on 2nd floor felt like had weak spots also. Both elevators floors felt weak not safe. I told the front desk and said she was letting the manager know.

This is by far the best Holiday inn & Suites I have ever been to. The staff goes out there way to help you. They have a pool hot tub AND a sauna to boot. The housekeeping is awesome as well. Not to mention the food is great. They rock! And Ms. Victoria is the best. Every time I see her she has a SMILE on her face. If I could I would give thi place 10 out of 10. I recommend this as the place to be for business or pleasure.

One of the best holiday Inns I stayed at. I was there for 8 nights. Clean spacious rooms, nice lobby, bathrooms clean and you get all Dove soaps and lotions. Sparkling clean inside out. This is where I will be staying next time everytime if they keep up with quality. Just so as you know if you book through hotwire or priceline breakfast, though available, is not included and you would buy for $5 only.

Great hotel, easy to get to and get out of. The rooms were nice, but I believe it was not leveled. I felt like I was walking up and down a very small bump every now and then. Plus the floors were squeaky.

Ms. Sheila is a great asset to IHG.
Her attention and customer service are excellent, as well as, the staff.
As a Spire Member staying in many IHG in different states, this IHG in The Woodlands, Tx is a definite stay when I'm in town.

Good and clean rooms. Also great and tasty breakfast. Very nice staff. I apreciate the lady from reception what told us: " no party without me", she made my day!

Very clean rooms, pleasant staff. Shelia and Michelle worked the front desk with such poise and amazing teamwork. They made me and my husband feel like family not just another dollar walking in the door. We will definitely be refer anyone staying in this area to come see them.

Reserved our rooms in advance. Check in time was 2 pm on our confirmation. They wouldn't let us check in until 3pm. Stated the website was wrong. Got a refund and left. Very poor customer service from the manager michelle. I hope it gets handled.

Nice stay overall. Not giving a 5* as I was charged twice for the last day of stay. Ultimately got the refund, but had to make a few calls. Would stay here again.

This place is huge. The rooms are really nice and there is an awesome chinese food place next door. The wifi could use an upgrade though. Perhaps I was just to far away being at room 150.

My family and I stayed at this hotel on 02/05/22 we came to Spring to visit family and this hotel was near our family. Everything was pretty ok until checkout. House keeping came to our room three times basically trying to rush us out on Sunday morning well before the noon checkout time. After we left, house keeping lied and said we were smoking in the room and charged my credit card $250 and then an additional $30 for incidentals. Luckily we were still in Houston when we saw the charges so we went back to the hotel and spoke with the assistant manager who ultimately ended up reversing the charges. I was grateful for how she handled it but at the same time I'll never stay here again. The house keeping staff is rude and dishonest to say the least. Also the front desk attendant was equally at fault because she charged my account without contacting me to verify the smoking allegations. I had my newborn and three year old in the room we were definitely not smoking. Very dishonest staff and we won't be returning here
